Hi everyone,
It's Ed Fox and welcome to Letting Go of the Day's Problems Guided Meditation.
Today I'm going to show you how you can minimize,
Leave behind the problems that you had throughout today.
But in order to do that,
I want to encourage you to be able to accept the fact that you did get troubled.
Somebody triggered you.
It's okay.
That happens to all of us.
It's very natural.
We only worry about it when we can't seem to let it go and it seems to pull on us like baggage.
To begin with,
Let's just sit comfortably and close our eyes and take a few nice long,
Comfortable and easy deep breaths,
Making sure that we take the in-breath in through the nose and release through the mouth with a nice strong.
.
.
So go ahead and take a nice deep breath now.
Good.
And with each breath,
Allow yourself to go deeper within to that quiet place,
To that meditative place that you may or may not be familiar with.
But as you breathe,
You will notice that you get quieter inside.
You're sitting comfortably,
So your body is comfortably seated,
Arms in your lap,
Maybe you're lying down in bed.
And you don't need to worry about supporting your body.
As you allow yourself to go within,
Just invite the quietness to come over you.
Invite the silence,
Take over,
Imagine yourself just diving into a cool,
Comfortable swimming pool of calm and peacefulness.
Just letting yourself go deeper and deeper.
And when you feel that you've reached some point of relaxation,
Some point of deepness within yourself,
I'd like you to pick one thing that happened today that upset you.
And it upset you so deeply that long after your workday is over,
You can't forget it.
It keeps coming back into your mind.
In this deep quietness,
I want you just to remember that incident in a gentle,
Easy way.
Remember where you were,
Who you were with,
What was going on,
What was said,
What happened.
And most of all,
What triggered you to be upset or uncomfortable.

Now in the second event,
It may move to a different part of your body,
Follow it.
It may move from your solar plexus to your heart,
To your stomach,
To your womb,
To your forehead.
Wherever it goes,
Go with it.
Still,
Always inviting it to release,
Inviting it.
I see you.
I feel you.
I give you permission to be felt,
To be heard,
And to eventually be released.
And as you do that,
It will eventually stop moving and eventually begin to release.
Once it's released,
Go back into the quietness,
The depths of who you are,
And just rest there comfortably,
Knowing that you've released something that's been holding you back,
Something that's been sticking inside of your autonomic nervous system.
And now you've given it a chance.
When you do this on your own,
Or you come back to this audio,
You can pick every different thing that comes up.
But for now,
Just find one and track it until it releases and you come back to quietness.
You come back to silence and notice how do you feel now?
How does it feel?
Can you find it in the body?
Possibly not.
Wonderful.
When you release the imprints of stresses from work,
They will be released through the body.
They'll be released through your mental thoughts and they'll be released through your emotional release.
And in this way,
You're able to get beyond the immediate stress of it jumping into your consciousness and taking over.
And remember,
Trying to push it down is not recognizing it,
It's only offering resistance.
Going into a deep place and feeling it and recognizing it will allow it to release.
And in this way,
You can go through all of your day's stressors and give them an opportunity to be released and leave you.
So I invite you to stay in this place after this recording is over,
Or you can come out now and go about your day.
Now you know how you can facilitate the emotional release of what's happening to you in your day.
Have a great day and thank you.
