Hello beautiful people.
Welcome to a meditation on breathing and letting that be enough.
This was inspired by a woman named Kyra Jewel Lingo who was a student of Thich Nhat Hanh.
I've taken her words and made them my own.
Let's take a few deep grounding breaths and as we begin our practice I invite you to find a comfortable position of dignity and ease.
Let's really take our seat occupying the space around us.
If there are parts of ourselves that are elsewhere or in some other time,
Past or future,
You can just call them back to you.
All the parts that we've left from our childhood or the grocery store or our job or our family of origin,
Just call it back.
Calling our souls to be complete here and settle into this place here.
Letting everything else from life slow down as you breathe in and out with presence as you recollect yourself.
I invite you to feel the contact between your body and the floor or the cushion or the chair or the earth.
Noticing how the earth holds you,
Supports you right now.
Perhaps you want to soften your gaze allowing for your attention to go inward.
Noticing the in and out breath following the natural flow.
You can notice how the breath arrives and what happens as you breathe in and you can feel how the out breath just does what it does.
Letting the breath be natural as you breathe in being aware of the body and as you breathe out allowing the body to rest and calm.
Awareness of the body as you breathe in.
Calming and resting with the breath out.
If you notice that your mind wanders to thinking,
Planning,
Worrying,
You can simply acknowledge that this is happening.
Knowing that you can return to focus on the thoughts later but for now we're just engaging with attending to this moment,
This breath,
These body sensations without needing to make meaning of them just simply opening our awareness.
As you inhale may you open your awareness that this moment is enough.
Just what we need is already here.
As you exhale practicing to accept life as it is.
Allowing life to unfold around us without needing to control or change it.
Breathing in enoughness and breathing out acceptance of right now.
Take a few more deep breaths just feeling what it's like to be meditating quiet with yourself knowing that others are here listening to this meditation too in this beautiful bird song.
Taking a moment and thanking yourself for slowing down,
For tuning in and for breathing and letting that simply be enough.
Muchísimas gracias amigos.
With love,
Eleanor
