This meditation is designed to help you slow down,
Get really present,
Relax your body,
And create a practice of listening.
In slowing down and listening to your body,
You begin to deepen and strengthen the relationship and communication of your inner GPS,
Your inner guidance system.
Your body,
Your cells,
Your bones,
Your muscles,
Your organs,
Are wise,
Are guiding you.
They are a collection of all of your experiences,
Your emotions,
Your feelings,
And the knowing before you even consciously know.
The more you practice this deep listening to your body,
The more you'll be able to make decisions with confidence,
Intuit your next steps,
And learn to discern what is right and true for you and learn to communicate with your body as well.
Whenever you're ready,
Find a comfortable place,
Whether you're somewhere in nature or at home,
Lying down,
Or sitting upright in a chair,
As long as you're comfortable and can settle in without interruption for the next little while.
Whenever you're ready,
Begin consciously breathing in through your nose,
Feeling the coolness of the air entering and filling up your body,
And exhale through your mouth,
Allowing the exhale to release tension from each body part as I mention it.
Even as I speak each part of your body,
It will instinctively know to slow down,
To notice,
And relax.
It is in this relaxed state that we begin to hear the nuance of communication from our bodies.
As you continue breathing,
Bring awareness and attention to the bottom of your feet,
Allowing any wiggles,
Any tension to move through.
Next bring your attention and awareness to your calves and your shins,
Allowing their natural weight,
Their strength,
Presence in your body to soften into the present moment.
Continuing,
Relaxing and noticing your thighs,
Your hips,
Your belly,
Your seat.
Starting to notice as your belly inflates with the air,
Breathing in and releases on the exhale,
Allowing each exhale to soften further any tension you're holding in your body without judgment,
Just noticing.
Continuing to soften and bring awareness to your lower back,
Your middle back,
Your upper back and shoulders.
Continuing bringing awareness and softening to your solar plexus,
Your chest,
Your arms and your hands,
Perhaps wiggling your fingers if that feels good,
Stretching your hands and then letting them settle back down.
Watching the relaxation happening in each body part as I speak it.
On the inhale,
Bringing cool air into your lungs,
Letting them expand,
Bringing nourishing oxygen and on the exhale,
Releasing any stress and tension in your body.
Continuing to notice any tension and releasing it through your breath,
In your neck,
In your face,
Behind your eyes,
Allowing all external noise to become part of the process.
Continuing to notice any tension in your scalp,
Your forehead,
Your ears,
In the back of your neck and then doing one final scan of relaxation as you continue breathing,
Allowing that tension to be released on the exhale.
Notice if there's any color to that exhale and that is that tension being released.
As you settle in deeper and deeper into this peaceful state of relaxation with a gentle awareness for any tension creeping back in and softly allowing it to exit on the exhale without judgment or critique,
Just knowing that it's absolutely normal.
I invite you to ask a question that has been on your mind.
Perhaps it's about choosing the next right step on your journey.
Perhaps there's a decision you've been trying to make.
Maybe you're curious for general guidance moving forward in your life.
Maybe you've been experiencing stress or anxiousness around a situation in your life and you're wanting to take some inspired action.
Perhaps you're seeking guidance from your inner most wisdom.
There's no wrong question here.
Take a moment and tune in to what is coming up for you and the answers that you might be seeking right now.
If no specific question comes to mind,
Focus on the question,
What do I need to know right now?
And at this time,
Whether you have your own question or you're asking your body,
What do I need to know right now?
I invite you to get very quiet and very still and begin to create an opening in your mind's eye that resembles a blank sheet of paper or a blank computer screen.
And at the top of the page or the screen,
Imagine writing or typing out your question.
And for the next minute,
You're going to listen.
And as you hear any information,
Symbols,
Words,
Or images come up,
In your mind's eye,
Take a moment and write down what you're receiving.
And don't worry if there's silence.
As we get more comfortable with the silence and can differentiate our thoughts and just let them be there,
We begin to receive the most unexpected of answers.
So for the next minute,
Enjoy the stillness.
Look at your question once again and then listen in the receptive mode.
There you go.
.
.
Notice where in your body you're feeling any energy,
Warmth,
Activation,
Tingling.
