Welcome to day 18 of the Heart Workers 21 Day Meditation journey.

Sit with a straight spine or lie down.

Relax your shoulders.

Rest your hands on your knees.

Close your eyes and take this time to connect with your own body.

Start to notice the shape of your body.

The weight of your body.

And relax any area of tension.

Connect with your own body.

Start now to focus on your breath.

Noticing each breath as it flows gently in and out of your body.

Without any thoughts.

When your mind wanders,

Be kind with yourself and gently redirect your attention right back to the breathing.

Now bring your attention to your heart space in the center of your chest.

You are safe.

Today we are going to talk about the power of our emotions.

Each of them detain precious information useful for us to decipher what our body is going through.

No matter the type of emotion,

We can trust that it's not going to last.

No matter the type of emotion,

We can trust that there is a good reason for it to be felt right now.

How may we recognize our emotions on a daily basis?

How may we welcome them and allow them to direct the events of our lives without feeling trapped by them?

Emotions are the messengers of our body to our mind.

We can better understand our own perception of a situation when we can grasp our feelings about it.

We can better understand our own reaction to a conflict when we can access how we feel about it.

We can better celebrate our joie de vieux when we can feel the joy spreading throughout our skin.

You may be going through a difficult time right now and would rather not feel the discomfort of the emotion.

But the key to reconnecting to your inner joy is to do exactly the opposite.

Now take on your own a few deep breaths in and out.

On your own,

Take a few deep breaths in and out.

Ask yourself,

What do I feel right now?

Calm,

Peace,

Fear,

Frustration,

Stress.

Name the first emotion that comes to you.

Now ask yourself,

Where does this emotion live right now in my body?

In your stomach?

Your guts?

In your solar plexus?

If you cannot name a specific place,

Just localize it visually on your body.

Feel the emotion where it lives right now.

Don't try to change it,

Or fix it,

Or even understand it.

Simply allow the emotion to exist within you and breathe.

Breathe deeply.

Breathe.

Breathe through the emotion,

Exactly where it lives right now.

Now that you have been practicing how to breathe through an emotion,

You know how to recognize an emotion.

This is the main step needed to transform this emotion by breathing through it.

You can practice it every time you feel unbalanced,

Or every time you feel disconnected from your body.

You can practice it when you are alone at home,

Or in your car.

You can also practice it in public by asking those questions in your head.

What do I feel right now?

Where does this emotion live in my body?

And for each and every emotion,

Don't forget to celebrate it.

Let's repeat now three times in your mind today's affirmation.

I listen to my body.

I will remain silent now for a few minutes.

You can turn your attention to your breath,

Noticing each inhale and each exhale,

Or simply relax into the quiet.

You can listen to the sounds of the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You can listen to the sounds of your breath.

You might notice the chatter arising again.

When it happens,

Calmly look at it and with equal ease try to revisit today's affirmation as often as possible.

I listen to my body.
