Sometimes we need to give ourselves the permission to stop and find stillness. With this practice, we get to do just that. Through the space that we create, we get to attune to our own natural rhythm, recover at any moment of the day, and begin again.

Hi there beautiful soul.

For today's offering I'd like to guide you through a meditation practice inviting you to give yourself permission to just pause.

Because we often forget that yes,

We have the right to pause,

We have the right to rest.

In our society that is moving ever so quickly,

Always in motion,

It can get easy to get caught up in that same rhythm.

Oftentimes that rhythm is not in sync with our own natural rhythm and so just giving yourself permission to pause allows you to tune in to your actual pace and offer you the space to just be.

So without further ado I invite you to close your eyes and exhale audibly just allowing yourself to land wherever you are,

Whatever you're arriving with,

Just allowing yourself to simply be,

Allowing it all to exist,

Connecting to your breath and gently with each breath shifting your awareness and your attention to this inward motion.

If you find yourself struggling to let go of your thoughts,

Gently say to yourself,

I give myself permission to pause and see how that lands.

Just breathing here,

Simply inviting in an inner awareness to your being without trying to shape or push yourself into any experience,

Simply being present with what is.

Breathe,

Breathe deeply,

Focusing your attention on the breath that is moving inside your body as your focus point.

Breathing in and noticing how it might be descending into your belly and how at every inhale your abdomen and your belly relaxes just a little bit more,

How your shoulders drop down just a little bit more,

Feeling your jaw releasing,

Your tongue relaxed and your forehead and the space between your eyebrows softening.

Noticing if you're gripping anywhere in your body,

Gently inviting the breath to soften these spaces,

To ease any tension you might be experiencing.

Scanning your hips,

Your legs,

Your knees,

Your toes,

Your fingertips.

Can you soften ever more into these parts of your body with each breath?

Allowing yourself to fully pause,

Giving yourself permission to simply be.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Staying connected to your breath as your anchor point in the present moment.

Taking in a few more breaths here,

Basking in this sense of ease,

This space of surrender that becomes available when you give yourself permission.

Gently bringing in some movement into your fingertips and your toes with your eyes still closed,

Gently preparing your body to wake up to the outside world again.

Inviting in any gentle movement that might feel good.

And when you feel ready,

You can gently open your eyes.

Let's take one deep and final synchronized breath together.

I wish you well.

Namaste.
