Welcome to Take A5,

A collection of meditations dedicated to creating a brief yet meaningful pause in your day.

Give yourself this gift of rest,

Resilience,

Renewal,

And presence whenever you need it most.

Let's begin by bringing awareness to the breath,

Taking a slow deep breath in through the nostrils,

And gently let it go.

Allow yourself to settle into this present moment.

Right now we'll focus on the incredible gift of your senses,

The doorway to the present,

To feeling fully alive.

Begin by noticing what you can hear,

Whether it's the subtle hum of the room,

The chirping of birds,

Or the rhythm of your own breath.

Let the sounds around you become clear,

Becoming music.

Don't judge them,

Just observe.

Notice how they come and go,

Dancing on the edges of your awareness.

Now gently bring your attention to your sense of touch.

How does your body feel in this moment?

Feeling the texture of your clothing against your skin,

The air on your face,

Or the sensation of your feet pressing into the ground.

Let yourself fully experience these sensations without trying to change them,

Simply feel.

Now becoming aware of your sense of smell,

Taking a deep breath in and noticing any sense around you.

Perhaps it's the fresh smell of the air,

Or something subtle in the room.

Notice how even the faintest scent can bring you deeper into this present moment.

And now if it feels right,

I invite you to close your eyes and shift your focus to taste it.

Run your tongue across your teeth or lips,

Feeling the textures inside your mouth.

Even if you're not eating,

There's often a residual taste.

Allow yourself to be curious and open about this sense.

Slowly open your eyes and gently observe what you see around you.

Notice the colors,

The light,

And the details you may have overlooked before.

Let your eyes move slowly,

Taking in each shape,

Each shade.

By engaging your senses,

You reconnect with the present moment,

Grounding yourself in your body and the world around you.

This simple practice is always available to you,

Helping you to reset and recharge.

And now,

Taking a final deep breath in with me,

And exhaling fully,

Feeling much more grounded and aware,

Carrying this connection with you.

Be well and be inspired.

Namaste.
