The attitude of trust is about cultivating strength,

Determination,

And stability in yourself as well as having the courage to be vulnerable.

In building the quality of trust within ourselves,

We are aiming to connect to our center and become more fully ourselves.

Rene Brown says,

Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.

Begin to find your way into a comfortable position,

Whether seated or lying down.

Close the eyes or lower the gaze and take a few deep breaths,

Allowing the body to relax with each exhale.

Now bring attention to the present moment.

Feel the support of the surface beneath your body,

Grounding you in this space.

Notice any thoughts or distractions that are here and,

As best you can,

Let go and allow yourself to fully arrive here,

In this moment of trust.

Bring awareness to the breath.

Notice the gentle rhythm of the inhalations and exhalations.

Feel the breath flowing in and out effortlessly.

Now shift attention to the body.

Begin by noticing any areas that might feel a little tense or anything that feels a little uncomfortable.

As best you can,

Without judgment,

Simply observe these sensations and trust that they are temporary.

Send the breath gently to these areas,

Allowing them to soften and release.

We often lose trust in ourselves through decisions or choices we make,

Which don't have the desired outcome.

And it's much easier to remember when our choices have ended in an undesirable outcome than it is to remember when our choices have led us to really great things.

So bring to mind a choice you've made that has led to a positive outcome,

Even if it was unexpected.

This might be a big life choice,

Like choosing to begin or end a relationship or have a child,

But it can also be something simple and small,

Such as choosing to eat a delicious meal.

It's possible that many choices with positive outcomes come into your mind.

Allow yourself to focus on one and try to remember how you felt at the time when this positive result occurred.

Think about how you made the choice that resulted in this good thing or good feeling.

And there are times when it may be hard to recall a good choice.

If you feel you cannot remember any right now,

Then focus simply on what's right here,

Right now,

And thank yourself for taking the time to make the positive choice that has led you to this practice and the intention to prioritize your health and well-being.

Spend the next few moments noticing any thoughts that arise,

Whether they are positive or negative.

Observe these thoughts from a place of trust,

Knowing that thoughts come and go,

And you have the power to choose which ones to engage with.

Trust that you can let go of any thoughts that don't serve you in this moment.

As you continue to breathe,

Bring attention back to the present moment.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of the chest with each breath,

Anchoring yourself in the here and now.

Trust that the present moment is all there is,

And that it holds everything you need.

Take a moment to recognize the strength and courage it takes to trust yourself and surrender to the uncertainty that life brings.

Trust that you are exactly where you need to be in this moment,

And that everything is unfolding as it should.

And know that as you continue to cultivate trust within yourself,

You will experience a deeper sense of peace,

Contentment,

And joy.
