Peace family and welcome to this week's meditation called space to be present.

I am Helen Marie,

I am the founder of Happy Chrysalis,

The creator of Stillness and Flow African Gometic Yoga and an Intuitive Intelligence Trainer and my mission is to support you with moving through change with ease and confidence by being grounded in your energetic and spiritual practices.

In today's meditation I am inviting you to intentionally slow down your brainwave state to be able to preserve energy and redirect it into being present in your physical body in the ever present now.

We do this because when you are going through change your mind can be hypervigilant because it is overstimulated by new things.

This can cause your energy to become trapped in overthinking infinite eventualities rather than focusing on being present right now.

And when you do this you lose out on the gift of life in the now,

The very thing that you are seeking to enjoy and what it is trying to teach you for you to be better prepared for future eventualities.

Overthinking and having a lack of space to be present can feel like constantly feeling like your energy is caught in your mind and out of your physical body,

Constantly thinking about the future and not being aware of what is happening in the present or not feeling connected to what is happening in the present,

An attachment to anxieties of the world rather than being centred in your own inner peace,

Your energy feeling trapped and wrapped around thoughts rather than flowing in and out of you effortlessly,

Your energy feel as though it is hardening in defence rather than softening into surrender to find safety.

If any of those scenarios feel familiar to you then this is the perfect meditation to find space to be present.

So let's begin.

I'll first invite you to make sure that you're comfortable in a seated position with your spine upright and supported and wriggling out any discomfort that you might feel in your body.

When you're ready closing down your eyes and starting to connect into your breathing by inhaling deeply in through your nose,

Expanding into your chest and abdomen and then exhaling to release through the mouth letting out a sigh.

We'll repeat that twice more inhaling in through your nose expanding into your chest and abdomen and exhaling through your mouth letting out a sigh.

And repeating that one more time inhaling in through your nose expanding into your chest and abdomen and then exhaling to release through your mouth letting out a sigh.

From here I invite you now to allow your breath to return to its own natural rhythm and just notice and enjoy that feeling of having breathed with more intention and depth.

Notice how that immediately changes how you start to feel in your body and in this meditation we'll continue to expand on this feeling for your brain to find space to be present.

We'll be tuning to each of the chakra energy centres to clear away any blockages from you being present in the now.

I invite you to see if you can get a little more comfortable.

So we'll start this meditation by tuning into the root chakra which is in Sanskrit called the muladhara located at the base of your spine.

As you inhale visualise a bright red light lighting up this space at the base of your spine and expanding to engulf your entire physical body.

With every exhale and inhale it expands beyond your physical body to fill up the space around you.

Notice it clearing away any tension that's in the vicinity of your body.

With every inhale start to feel into the sensation of your body merging and integrating with the world around you and with every exhale letting go of this idea of being separated.

Inhaling in integration and exhaling separation.

And in your next inhale we'll move up to the sacral chakra located between the navel and the root.

In Sanskrit this is called the swadhisthana.

As you inhale visualising a bright orange light expanding through the sacral area until it surrounds and engulfs your entire body.

With every exhale feeling that orange light expanding around you giving you space to be present.

Clearing away any tension.

Now with every inhale visualise the energy of creation coming into your energy being and exhale any sense of being a victim.

Inhaling creation.

Exhaling victimhood.

Next inhale moving up to connect with the solar plexus chakra approximately four fingers above your navel.

In Sanskrit this is called the manipura.

Visualising a yellow light coming into your energy field as you inhale expanding to embrace your entire body.

With every breath in that inhale and that yellow light creates more space around you.

With every exhale you feel your energy being becoming brighter.

Exhaling the divine activation of your solar plexus and exhaling any part of you leaning into shrinking.

Inhaling activation and exhaling shrinking.

And in your next breath moving up to the heart chakra or the anahata.

Visualising a green light expanding as you inhale to embrace and engulf your entire body.

With every breath in noticing that green light expanding and clearing the space around you and exhaling to release any tension.

Noticing spaciousness.

In your next inhale visualising life force coming into you and every exhale releasing fear.

Inhale life force release fear.

Then your next inhale will move up to the throat chakra the vishuddhi.

Visualising a blue light coming into your throat as you inhale expanding to engulf your entire body.

As you inhale that blue light expands to create space around you and as you exhale you release any tension.

Noticing and enjoying that feeling of space around you coming from your throat.

Inhaling freedom and exhaling suppression.

Inhaling freedom and exhaling suppression.

On your next inhale moving up to focus on your third eye chakra in the centre of your forehead also known as the Ajna.

Inhale a purple light until you feel that entire purple light engulf and embrace your whole body.

As you inhale it expands to create space around you and as you exhale you release any tension.

Inhale the feeling and sensation of seeing more deeply and clearly and exhaling the tendency to look away.

Exhaling deeper vision,

Exhaling denial.

And on your next breath moving your awareness to focus on your crown chakra at the top of your head.

Seeing visualising a white light coming into the crown at the top of your head and with every inhale expands to engulf and embrace your entire body.

Creating space around you and releasing tension.

Enjoy the feeling of this white light surrounding you.

As you inhale in self-worth and you exhale self-pity.

Exhale self-worth,

Exhale self-pity.

Now taking one more deep breath in through your nose expanding into your chest and abdomen once more and exhaling to release and let go.

Start to bring some movement back into your body,

Stretching our arms and legs,

Wiggling fingers and toes.

And when you're ready opening your eyes and welcoming yourself back.

Take a moment to notice how your energy has shifted and enjoy that feeling of space to be present.
