Expand, let go and find stillness: This practice is your bedtime remedy for when calming your mind and body feels like a hard thing to do. I'm inviting you to honour what didn't get enough attention during the day, to create space and to remember the gift that lies in your nature of letting go. Breathe, release and listen to the Earth's heart beat. Please note: This practice was recorded in my green sanctuary in Kenya. The songs of birds you might hear belong here.

Hello beautiful.

Welcome to this soothing,

Calming practice that helps you relax,

Release and surrender your body into deep rest and sleep.

Take all the time you need to make yourself comfortable.

Find a cozy position,

Whether that's already in bed or still out of bed.

And when you're ready,

I'm inviting you to place one hand on your chest and one on your belly,

Or intuitively on a place where you feel a physical touch could be relaxing right now.

And stay there.

Breathe in and breathe out.

And simply stay here for a while.

Feel yourself for a while.

There you are,

Breathing,

Allowing yourself to simply be with all that moves in you and through you.

Sometimes we can't find rest because there's something within ourselves that didn't get the space it would have needed during the day.

It didn't get the attention needed,

Maybe a feeling,

Maybe a thought,

Maybe simply a sensation.

So as you breathe,

I'm inviting you to expand.

Imagine you're expanding beyond your physical body as you inhale and exhale.

Expand into that space that you are beyond your body and make space feel all that needs to be felt.

Sometimes we just want to make thoughts go,

We want some pulls and pushes within,

Just to be quiet so that we can find rest.

But all it takes is to first give space to what seems to need some space right now so that we can truly let go,

Truly wind up the day and travel into a peaceful new dimension of rest,

Of quiet,

Of silence.

Breathe deeply and simply be your watcher,

The watcher of your thoughts,

Maybe some conversations you are still holding in your head that you didn't complete during the day.

Make space as you breathe,

Expand and then exhale out.

Maybe questions that never got answers,

Maybe visions that never saw the path on how to get there.

Okay,

All I'm asking you is to expand as you breathe,

To create space not trying to avoid or dim down such voices,

Questions,

Conversations.

Create space so that they can quiet naturally and peacefully.

Breathe in and out.

Note how with every expansion you have to hide less,

You need to understand less,

To justify less and how you allow yourself to be.

Any thought is just a flow that comes and goes,

Any feeling is a wave that touches you and then ebbs.

Any sensation asks for your attention before it can flow through you and out of you.

Understand more and more,

Realize more and more that you don't have to hold on to anything.

Through letting go you are not losing anything,

You just allow it to pass naturally.

It comes and exhale it goes.

You don't need to hold on to things in order to have them,

Just feel them,

Let them pass,

Let them leave their mark and let them go.

You can let go,

Nothing that needs to be held on to right now,

Nothing that needs solving right now,

Nothing that needs you to do anything.

Everything needs you to let go,

To surrender and expand.

You are more than your body,

You are soul.

And as you expand your soul,

With every exhale you sink deeper into the ground.

You are giving your body permission to ground,

To release,

To soften.

Melting into the warm,

Comforting arms of Mother Earth,

Into her slow,

Deep heartbeat,

Inviting you to surrender,

To melt,

Let go.

Listen to her heartbeat,

Observe how your body syncs with her,

How your body's rhythm syncs with her rhythm.

Continue to breathe,

Sink,

Synchronize your breath to her beat,

Beat with her,

Breathe with her as your soul expands.

Have a beautiful,

Peaceful night rest.
