In difficult times, we often feel that we don't have a choice. Through this mindfulness meditation, we can learn that we do have a choice. A choice of how you feel, what you do, and also to learn to love yourself. A choice suggests the opportunity of choosing freely. It's wonderful to realize that at any moment, you have the freedom, ability, and power to choose freely. Mindfulness is beneficial because mindfulness practice increases our awareness, which we need to make a different choice.

Every one of us makes thousands of choices a day.

Mindfulness is beneficial here because mindfulness practice increases our awareness which we need to make a different choice.

In difficult times and other times we often feel that we don't have a choice.

A choice suggests the opportunity or privilege of choosing freely.

It's wonderful to realize that at any moment you have the freedom,

Ability and power to choose what to do and how to live your life,

No matter the circumstances.

And it all starts with being aware of that you do have a choice.

So the more we practice mindfulness we will increase our awareness and then this will become easier.

So let's try and start this today.

To start this meditation sitting or lying comfortably.

Take a few conscious breaths.

Maybe deep breath into your belly.

Making a choice to stay present and to notice your breathing now.

Breathing in deeply and out fully.

One breath at a time.

Inhale and exhale.

Then come to focus on your heart and heart area.

What can you notice or feel here?

Maybe we could choose to breathe in to the heart and heart area.

Maybe we could choose to breathe in kindness.

Breathing in kindness and compassion for yourself.

Kindness and compassion for this may be a difficult time for you and understanding.

Yes this may be a difficult time but it's okay.

You are okay.

This too shall pass.

This also could be a sentence that may give you comfort and helps you in difficult times.

This too shall pass.

Everything changes all the time and nothing stays the same.

Then when you focus on your heart.

What do you feel here?

Does your heart area feel open or closed?

Is there light or a heavy feeling?

Do you feel that you have put up some walls around you?

Then let's try and break down those walls.

Little by little.

Stone by stone.

Breathing with your heart and breathing into your heart.

And maybe when we exhale we can let go a little bit of another stone.

Maybe we can let go a little bit of this heaviness.

Often we put these walls around us because it feels safer that way.

But it's okay to be vulnerable.

Being vulnerable means that we are strong and courageous.

Being open.

Being connected to your true self.

And being connected to others.

Surrender.

Letting go.

Bit by bit.

Breath by breath.

Each exhale.

Letting go.

How does it feel when you tell yourself that you have a choice?

Does it feel empowering and positive?

Or how does it feel to you?

Be here in this moment.

Let your body breath.

Choosing to be here now.

Your body is consciously expanding when you inhale and relaxing and releasing as you exhale.

Constantly expanding as you inhale and releasing and letting go as you exhale.

Choosing to be present.

To be here.

And be aware.

Then if you go a little deeper,

How do you feel about yourself?

This can be a really tricky question.

And for most of us brings up conflicted feelings and emotions.

But we all can learn to love and accept ourselves.

Our body and everything else.

It often helps if we think of ourselves not just as our body but more as an energy.

That we are more than just our body.

This is also a choice that we have.

That we can learn to love and accept ourselves as we are.

To make friends with ourselves.

This body is yours and it's a gift.

It's your temple where you are at home and where you can be still,

Quiet and calm.

Where you can listen and hear your soul speak.

The quieter we become the more we will hear our true self.

You can get to know yourself when you go within into the stillness of yourself.

Where everything is simple.

Where there is pure unconditional love.

Without limits.

Without conditions.

Just love.

So pure like a crystal.

So soft like silk.

So vast like the sky.

You are beautiful.

Inside and out.

Unique and perfect.

No need to be different.

You have a choice.

You can accept yourself as you are.

Right here.

Right now.

Accept as you are.

Being you.

Being free.

No boundaries.

No limits.

Being open.

Being connected.

Connected with yourself.

And through this we can learn to feel connected with others.

You have a choice.

Claim your power and be yourself.

Claim your power when you inhale.

Feeling your strength.

And release everything that doesn't serve you anymore when you exhale.

Claim your power when you inhale.

Connecting with your inner strength.

And release everything else when you exhale.

Be with this for a moment.

Continue to be here.

Continue to be present.

How do you feel now about being open in your heart?

Does it feel a little bit lighter now in your heart center?

Do you feel a little bit more still and calm?

Maybe more connected with yourself?

And if you don't yet,

That's okay.

Patience is what we all need.

We need patience in difficult times and patience with ourselves and with others.

Patience is one of these attitudes that we practice with mindfulness.

Also being curious,

Curious about our feelings,

What we can notice.

You are beautiful and you don't need to change.

You are perfect as you are.

You can choose to be more aware.

Have patience,

It might take some time.

I wish you a really nice day.

Take care of yourself.

Maybe till soon.

Thank you for this meditation. I find it difficult to know I have choices! I do react rather than respond on a lot of occasions. However, now I have listened to you I will be more aware. 💛🙏🕊
