Welcome to this guided meditation focusing on the Ujjayi Pranayama breath.
Find a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Allow yourself to settle into a relaxed position,
Gently close your eyes and begin to turn your attention inward.
Let's start by bringing awareness to your natural breath.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Feel the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your body.
As we move into the Ujjayi breath,
We'll transition to breathing through the nose with a gentle constriction at the back of the throat.
As you breathe in,
Create a soft ocean-like sound by slightly narrowing the passage at the back of your throat.
It's like the sound you make when you fog up a mirror.
Inhale deeply,
Allowing the breath to be both audible and calming.
Now exhale through the nose,
Maintaining that gentle constriction to create the same soothing sound.
Inhale with the ocean sound and exhale with the same gentle flowing breath.
Feel the warmth and energy of your breath as it flows through your body.
Ujjayi breath is often called victorious breath and with each cycle,
Invite a sense of victory and calmness into your being.
As you continue with the Ujjayi breath,
Let the rhythm of your breath guide you into a state of mindfulness.
Allow any tension in your body to melt away with each exhale and with each inhale,
Invite a sense of peace and clarity.
Inhale with the ocean sound and exhale,
Releasing any stress or discomfort.
Let each breath anchor you in the present moment.
If your mind begins to wander,
Gently bring it back to the sound and sensation of your breath.
As we approach the end of this Ujjayi Pranayama session,
Take a few moments to breathe naturally.
Notice how your breath has become a source of tranquility,
Grounding you in the present.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Carry the sense of calm and mindfulness with you as you continue your day.
Namaste.
