How To Set Boundaries | Breathwork & Meditation
by Jay Chodagam
Boundaries are about making a choice not to take on someone else's stuff. In this session, you will receive some helpful guidance on how to create healthy empath boundaries. To draw that line means freedom to fully feel the innate beauty of our innermost selves – the freedom to be who we truly are. The session includes sonic resonance breathwork followed by a guided meditation on boundaries.
Transcript
Welcome,
Welcome to Joy with Jay,
Yet another episode where we're going to be talking about setting healthy boundaries.
So this is the flow of today.
I'm going to start off with some breathing exercises and the breathing exercises will prepare your mind and your body to calm down,
To relax,
To be open to receiving the energy that you need to be able to breathe.
To be open to receiving the aspects of wisdom that we're going to explore about setting healthy boundaries in the second part of this exercise.
So first I ask that you go ahead and please downshift your gaze or close your eyes.
As you see fit,
I want you to be relaxed but attentive.
Taking nice deep comfortable breaths into the belly.
Making sure that your jaw is relaxed and dropped.
Your head,
Neck and spine are aligned.
So you could be doing this either lying down or sitting up.
Then let us start by practicing Ujjayi Pranayama.
In this exercise you will exhale with your mouth closed but imagine you're blowing into a mirror to fog it.
There may be the sound of an ocean wave inside of your mouth as you're exhaling with the intention to fog a mirror.
And if you're inhaling for a count of five can you extend the exhale slightly longer perhaps a count of seven or eight.
And then as you're making these inhales and exhales make sure that you're using your diaphragm.
Your diaphragm is the muscle that controls the amount of space that you create within your abdomen.
So when you're moving this muscle down you're creating a cavity and are loving the air to go deep into your lungs almost as if you're breathing into your belly,
Belly breathing as you notice the rise and the collapse of your abdomen.
And then as you squeeze out you're using your diaphragmic muscle to push out the air as if you're pushing out air from a bagpipe and that comes out as a warm exhale and in this case with your mouth closed.
Now inhale through your nose and exhale from your mouth.
It's called box bow breathing.
Open your mouth as exhale allowing the air to be released with the sound of an ocean wave.
Now we're going to do something called bhramari and in this case what we'll do is mouth is closed and as you're exhaling it's released with a audible hum.
It sounds like this.
Hum.
Inhale through the nostrils,
Exhale through the nostril.
Mouth is closed and you exhale for an extended period,
10 seconds or more.
Let's do three rounds of that.
Hum.
And see that the reverberation can be felt all over your body,
Especially all of the cavities,
The sinus cavities in the face.
It's just like an internal massage for your organs.
Hum.
Last round and make it really a deep hum as you're exhaling bhramari which the sound of the buzzing bee.
Hum.
Now we're going to transition into this exercise called bandha.
You inhale normally through the nostrils and then we hold.
We hold incrementally starting with holding for 10 seconds.
I'll do the counting.
You just do the holding and then we'll slowly work our way towards the 20 second hold number.
So let's together all of us inhale through the nostrils deep into the belly.
And hold.
Exhale through the nostrils.
Now with next inhalation,
We're going to hold a little bit longer.
Inhale nice and deep.
And hold.
And let's exhale out.
Inhale and this time hold for a count of 14.
I'll do the counting.
You just do the holding.
And hold.
And let it all out.
Next inhalation,
We're going to go for 16.
And hold.
And exhale.
One step further to a count of 18.
Inhale.
And hold.
And exhale.
Next round of 20.
Inhale.
And hold.
And exhale.
Let it all out.
Well done.
Now return back to the normal cadence.
5 in and 5 out.
And a couple more rounds of regular breathing before we're going to do our last round of Bandha exercise.
And exhale.
Now with this next exhale,
I want you to hold.
After the emptying your lungs,
I want you to hold.
I'll do the counting.
You do the holding.
Trust yourself.
You can do it.
You might have this urge to want to let go,
But believe me,
You can do much better than you think you can.
And I want you to squeeze the muscles in your buttocks as you're doing this.
Holding with empty lungs.
Squeeze the muscles in your hamstrings,
Your legs,
Your thighs.
Can you go down all the way through the calves and go into the feet?
Squeeze the muscles and release.
Now can you go into your abdomen?
Squeeze and release.
Go into your chest.
Release arms,
Forearms,
Upper arms.
Release.
Squeeze your neck.
Make a face frown.
Clench your jaw.
And release.
And now let's inhale together.
Well done.
There's tremendous benefits of this Bandha in that you're allowing the carbon dioxide in the body to build up such that in this next breath that you take in that the lungs are taking in as much oxygen as is needed and the carbon dioxide is being emitted out of your body.
And notice for yourself in just these 15 minutes of pranayama,
The art of breathing,
Notice how you feel.
Notice the slower pace of thoughts in your mind.
Notice the sense of lightness you may be feeling in your body.
Notice the ease of your breath.
And a sense of presence.
And this is what pranayama does is by holding and by regulating your breathing,
You're breathing as if your life depends on it.
And thereby you're bringing your mind,
No matter how distracted you were when you came here,
Into the present.
My name is Jay Chodagam and today we're going to do an exercise on setting boundaries and cultivating an empathetic shield.
Empathy is a natural attribute of the soul.
While this is a true gift,
We often forget that boundaries are our birthright too.
The concept of boundaries might even sound restrictive and limiting to some.
Yet the paradox is that boundaries actually mean freedom.
To draw that line means freedom to fully feel the innate beauty of our innermost selves,
The freedom to be truly who we are.
Whilst it's not always possible to determine circumstances outside of us,
We most definitely have a choice about what happens inside of us.
In today's session,
We'll explore what boundaries are and I'll share a very helpful exercise that's designed to help you master your boundaries in everyday life.
So what are boundaries?
Personal boundaries are really about self-respect.
It's where you draw the line.
A boundary establishes what it is you and what is another.
Boundaries are simply deciding what is okay for you and what's not.
Boundaries are about owning your inner space and knowing that you have a choice in what you give yourself to.
With boundaries it becomes clear what you have responsibility for,
What you're in control of,
And what you are not in control of,
Which most often is that which is outside of you.
You get to be in charge of your own feelings,
Your own attitude,
And your own energy.
Boundaries are about making a conscious choice not to take on someone else's stuff.
It's not even that we won't feel another person's stuff.
A boundary is about not letting that stuff stick inside of us and not letting it consume us.
Boundaries are not about blocking energies out completely.
The flow of life force or chi depends on the free flow of energy through our field.
Boundaries are about owning our personal space so that our field is not overridden.
The good news is that asserting boundaries is not a complicated thing to do,
But rather we often find that we don't even consider that we have a choice in the matter.
We do have a choice,
Most definitely.
It's a case of applying energy to it on a regular basis until it becomes second nature.
It becomes second nature to own our own space.
The soul is expansive and interconnected with all life,
So it might seem a little counter-intuitive to set boundaries.
We can look at another person and empathize from a place of true empathy and still have boundaries.
It can therefore be helpful to know what boundaries are not.
Boundaries are not a separation.
Boundaries are not a wall.
Boundaries are not about being in an isolated bubble.
A boundary is not lacking compassion.
A boundary is not lacking care.
And a boundary is definitely not lacking empathy.
What is good for us is good for everyone else too.
Every soul has feelings.
We're going to keep feeling too because it's our nature.
Once we begin to incorporate boundaries into our lives,
It frees up our energy so not only are we more available for ourselves,
But we can also be more available for others.
We can tap into boundaries well of compassion,
Of love that is ever-present in the universe.
So I invite you to use the visualization exercise to help you recreate scenarios in your life to work on energetically.
Integrating boundaries into your way of being takes practice and commitment.
So the more you repeat this exercise,
The more you're going to get out of it.
If you haven't already closed your eyes,
I invite you to close your eyes and contemplate a situation where your boundaries are being violated.
A situation where you feel you need to summon the courage to say no.
How would you feel expressing what the situation is like?
What might you say to express the truth of how you feel?
Now know that you're being held in a safe space with the support of Mother Nature,
Your guardian angels,
Or your spirit guides,
Whatever resonates with you.
Feel the energy of the situation and then feel the appropriate response arising from within you.
It may not always be easy to say no in everyday situations.
Saying no takes practice and courage.
So it helps to visualize situations while feeling safe and protected.
If you have an encounter where you wanted to say no but you didn't,
Then later on revisit that situation,
Go through it.
Feel the scenario,
Except this time,
Say what you feel moved to say and notice how your energy changes.
You're allowing your power to return to you.
Doing this visualization will allow you to resolve,
To strengthen,
It will prepare you.
So when you're ready,
You will find yourself more able to say no and express your truth,
Even if it's a challenging situation.
Learn to trust yourself.
Relax and let go into breath.
With the out-breath exhale and release any doubt and lack of self-trust.
Inhale in the pure rejuvenating energy.
And for the next few exhales,
Release any self-doubt.
And this should make you feel a little bit clearer.
And once you feel clearer,
Begin to feel the fullness of yourself.
Feel your intuitive gifts.
Feel yourself filling with self-trust and self-belief in these gifts.
And repeat these words,
I trust myself.
I trust my intuition.
My feelings are valuable.
I trust myself.
I trust my intuition.
My feelings are valuable.
Take as long as you need to let these positive affirmations energize,
Expand,
And fill you.
If you love these affirmations to fill you with positivity,
It'll help you to see more clearly.
And you will learn to trust your intuition.
It'll be easier for you to discern what is actually right for you.
Usually when it's right for you,
It's right for others.
Now,
Whenever you find yourself returning to that doubt,
Just take a moment to come back to your breath,
Exhaling out any of such self-doubt.
And repeat to yourself,
I trust myself.
I trust my intuition.
My feelings are valuable.
There's a great importance of loving yourself.
It's like putting on your own oxygen mask first.
And putting on,
Putting ourselves first is a bit of a foreign concept for some of us.
But it's not about being selfish or uncaring.
Because when you take care of yourself,
You're able to breathe fully,
And then you're in a much better place to help others.
And from this place of balance,
You can make a conscious choice about the best action to take.
So take time every day to do something,
To cultivate self-love.
And it might be as simple and fleeting as this moment,
Like taking a pause and closing your eyes,
Taking a conscious breath.
Allowing the song of a bird to nourish the soul,
Appreciating the silence,
The stillness of the night.
Feeling the sun kiss your cheek.
Or the gentle breeze running through your hair.
Smiling in front of a mirror.
Noticing the beauty.
Stopping to smell the roses.
These momentary pauses all nurture the soul.
That should be an integral part of your every day.
And if you have a little bit more time,
Go for a walk outside.
And if you love art,
Paint,
Draw,
Write,
Sing.
Treat yourself to a warm bath with essential oils.
Get a massage.
Laugh with friends.
Create food from the heart.
And definitely meditate.
Sit for a while doing nothing.
You should know what nurtures you.
And when you nurture yourself,
The ripples really do pulsate outwards.
And when you do this,
You create healthy boundaries which serve not only you,
But everyone around you.
And note that if someone is really power hungry,
They won't like it when you step into your power.
Because they rely on power from other people to feed their egos,
Their hungry egos.
But once you begin to change,
Once you begin to establish your boundaries,
This kind of a power hungry person will either change to meet you or they will naturally fall away.
I want you to please bring your palms together at your heart center and prayer position.
And I want you to please rub your palms briskly,
Kindling some chi,
Prana,
Life force.
The palms are an energy vortex in your body.
And when you feel like you have kindled a nice warm ball of healing energy,
I want you to go ahead and cup your eyes.
One with each palm and bless yourself.
I trust myself.
I trust my intuition.
My feelings are valuable.
I am okay.
I am more than okay.
In all will be okay.
Now bring your palms together back in prayer position at your heart center.
And ask yourself,
How do you feel right now?
And if you could summarize how you feel right now in one word,
What would that be?
And I invite you to please go and share that one word in the comments.
Blessed,
Lighter,
Peaceful,
Energized,
Confident,
Powerful,
Whole,
Excited,
Light,
Calm,
More calm,
Happy.
Yay.
Beautiful.
Energized,
Relieved,
Soft,
Clear,
Hopeful.
Yes.
Beautiful.
Seen.
Indeed.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Confused and grounded.
Yes.
And that's important,
Laura.
It's important that you notice what you're feeling.
Grounded is a good first step and then look into that confusion.
Sit with it and see where the roots of that lie.
I practice setting a boundary sitting here in meditation.
When an unscheduled person came to my house,
I almost stopped and answered the door feeling guilty.
Not to instead.
I let my four little dogs barking.
See your guardian angels,
Your dogs.
They did the trick.
They took care of you.
Gosh,
Is not amazing.
Powered,
Full,
Confident,
Powerful,
Peaceful.
Yearning.
Yes.
Thankful.
So I appreciate it.
Blissful emotional boundaries.
Yes.
I love that.
OK.
That's great.
Free.
Indeed.
So my ones,
Dear ones,
This is a practice that you need to go back and revisit.
You know,
It's you got to keep revisiting it until it becomes second nature.
It's not just when you sit here in this beautiful session,
All cozy,
Surrounded with kindred spirits from all over the world.
And you're beginning to embark on this journey.
But then you need to make this your own journey.
It makes needs to become your default network.
It's something that you just naturally go to setting that healthy boundary.
Because,
Like I said,
Time and again today that when you do this,
It actually serves everybody around you.
Everybody wins.
And was this something that we may not have been taught?
And so we need to teach ourselves.
So this session,
Like I mentioned,
Is recorded.
I will put it up on my YouTube channel shortly in a few days.
And like I said,
It's I'll post the link to that in my circle.
My circle is called Meditate with Jay.
And you can go back and revisit it and play it as often as you need.
Now,
All of the hundred and something sessions that I've done since the beginning of the pandemic are there on my YouTube channel.
And a good place for you to get the information to it will be when you subscribe to my newsletter,
Joywithjay.
Com,
My website,
And you'll find information to it.
What is your YouTube's name?
It's youtube.
Com slash jaychodagam.
Just Google my name,
Jay Chodagam,
And you should find all of the resources.
And I appreciate you all contributing.
Please go ahead and hit the donate button.
Let your gratitude be known because you're supporting this movement.
As I mentioned,
I've left the corporate carrier.
This is something that I've embarked on because I feel this is much more important than the software that I was writing and selling in my previous life.
And I'd like for this kind of tools and tips to be shared far and wide for people who can,
Who need it and who may not be able to reach us physically,
But can reach us now with the gift of the Internet and through this beautiful facilities of technology,
Insight,
Timer,
YouTube,
Et cetera,
They can access it and be served wherever they are.
Yes,
Indeed.
And Tara,
You remind me of I have an upcoming session.
I have a workshop starting on the 5th of February,
Which is next Saturday.
Awaken your intuition.
Now intuition is something that some of you know this already,
But some of us have never really understood and cultivated it.
It is that decisive force where we stand at any juncture in any relationship,
At any career path that we embarking on,
Any endeavor that we take.
Answers to your life cannot be found in Google.
So where do you go into tap into that wisdom,
The insight,
The guru,
That all knowing,
The experienced one that is traversed time immemorial has the wisdom,
Has the tools,
Has the guidance that you need at every juncture,
Every challenge that life throws at you.
But do you know how to trust it?
Do you know how to listen to it?
Do you know how to build a relationship with it where it keeps serving you?
So that's what I'm going to be going through four weeks,
Four Saturdays,
90 minutes each.
We're going to go through different exercises to cultivate one's intuition.
And so the way you'll find that information is good and click on the life button on the screen that you see right now with my picture in it.
And you'll find workshops and go look for awaken your intuition and sign up today.
It's starting next Saturday.
It's a cohort based learning exercise in that you will be teamed up with people who are of similar mindset,
Similar interests as you.
And so you're not just getting tips from me and doing these exercises in the course of the session,
But you're also going to be gifted with these cohort,
This kindred spirits that are going to help you to work through and who understand and who will cheer you on as you want to create that life that you want.
As you start building in these new habits as to make this your default mode network.
So powerful workshop coming up.
How do we unblock,
Unlock or unblock the third eye chakra?
It's been shut down for a long time.
Yes.
Yes.
And I have several recordings here,
Tara.
I talk about the seven chakra clearing your energy fields,
The blockages and opening up the third eye,
The sasrata,
The crown chakra,
Which is the ultimate goal of Raja yoga meditation,
The meditation that I studied as a monk for 18 years.
So I have recordings.
The simple answer is that I can't tell you right now because this is a completely different topic we're on.
But please go to my YouTube channel and revisit that recording that I have on chakra meditation.
And that will certainly guide you.
And then,
Of course,
I know you're part of my intuition cohort,
So I will go ahead and expand on it.
If you can ask questions there.
This was a dear gift of experience.
Thank you all.
Wonderful wolf policies.
J,
Thank you for healing treatment.
My heart rate dropped 15 beats.
Indeed.
Indeed.
You know,
This is time that you're taken to see as much as you are thanking me.
I need to thank you for taking time for yourself.
You've decided to put that oxygen mask I was talking about.
You decided to make yourself a priority.
You took out an hour of your day.
You could have been doing so many thing else,
Scrolling through your Instagram feed.
You could be watching TV,
Chatting with somebody on WhatsApp,
What have you.
But you've decided that you know what?
You're going to put everything aside and you're going to take invest in.
This is the gift of that investment that you have chosen to make in yourself.
And that's what you need to do every day.
Just make yourself a priority.
And you will start seeing the benefits of this beautiful way of being.
That's great,
Julia.
So I'm glad that you had a beautiful start to your day.
Were there any questions related to this topic?
Let's see.
Anastasia is saying,
I have a question.
Why does someone have to win by setting boundaries?
Maybe no one wins or loses.
Maybe it's just natural instead of matter of winning or losing.
It's not in winning or losing.
It's the benefit.
It's like is your life force being used for creative purposes versus defending?
You know how when you feel violated,
Whatever the case may be,
Right?
You know how it's about controlling your emotions,
Containing,
Repressing or even bursting out in aggression,
Whatever the case may be.
Some people implode,
Some people explode.
You see,
All of those energies,
Those resources now by setting clear boundaries,
Definitions and saying,
You know,
These are the rules we're going to play with.
If you want me in the game,
We can use for life giving purposes.
That's the point.
It's not about winning or losing.
It's about setting clear,
Healthy patterns such that you are optimizing how you're showing up in the world in your most authentic way and not having to be defensive,
Not having to be always having to wait for what's going to happen,
How somebody might step on you,
Etc.
Do you have a website,
Alicia?
Yes.
Joy with Jay dot com.
Do you have any books that you recommend for further learning on this topic?
Yes,
I'm doing actually,
If you follow me on this,
I've been doing a lot of work the last 45 days.
I've been doing a series on shadow work and sometimes these lack of ability for us to be able to set these clear boundaries is because of something that we've hidden in our shadow.
We're trying to avoid,
We're trying to deny,
We're trying to repress it.
And so I invite you to please join my sessions coming up.
I have one twice a week.
I have Wednesday evening,
6 p.
M.
Pacific,
Sunday morning,
9 a.
M.
Pacific.
And I will be doing this.
You can see after you finish the session that there will be a bunch of things that pop up on your screen where you can sign up for future.
I have about 10 more sessions that I've already queued up.
I know the topics I've already clearly labeled them and put them out there for you to sign up.
So that's an area where I think,
And then for those of the sessions of the last 45 days that I have done,
Which you may not have attended,
Like I mentioned,
They're recorded.
Go to my YouTube channel and you should find them there.
And I try to post many of the recordings also as an audio track on my Insight Timer profile.
So you should get a notification if you're following me there.
And also,
Like I said,
Please go in and join my circle.
It's called groups,
I think these days.
It's called Meditate with Jay on Insight Timer.
It's a free group for you to join.
And I keep posting these links whenever I have an upcoming session or whenever I post a recording.
I'm in Silicon Valley.
Do you have any live in-person retreats,
As C says.
So that's a question that I keep getting very often,
As C.
And SD,
S-T,
Okay,
I see your name.
And here's what I'm contending with.
Since the pandemic has started,
Life has become so unpredictable in that.
So first,
I guess a year and a half,
I did nothing.
No in-person,
I completely shut down.
My Japan retreat in April of 2020 was sold out.
And we had to back out of it,
Cancel everything.
Flights and Airbnb,
The beautiful resort that I had booked.
It was a cherry blossom festival retreat.
And so since then,
I kind of took a big pause.
And then once we had the vaccines out last year,
2021,
I announced a retreat,
Again sold out.
And then the next one,
After July,
I wanted to do one in October in Mount Shasta,
Which as you know,
It's a beautiful place,
It's an energy vortex on the planet.
But then we had forest fires.
I had planned this for October,
And lo and behold,
We had to cancel it because the weather,
You know,
The conditions were not,
You can't even breathe there.
And then we've had this Delta wave,
Omicron,
And you know,
There's all the shutdowns.
And people are asking me now,
Will you be doing something in the summer?
Will you be doing something in April?
And I'm like,
I know it takes preparation,
But I don't know what the world is going to look like.
And you know,
I make all this effort,
Go find bookings,
Go block a place,
Prepay for accommodation,
Et cetera.
And whether you people will be willing to fly and have the courage to get on planes and travel and be with other people that you,
And you know,
So this is why not knowing people is kind of a challenge.
Instead,
What I'm doing is I'm doing a lot more virtual sessions.
So I'm doing virtual retreats.
These workshop I mentioned every Saturday I have a workshop,
It's called the Sacred Circle.
Every month is a different theme.
So the live sessions,
Next to workshops,
One-on-one mentoring to go deeper.
And then there's another request that has come up instead of,
You know,
When we don't know when we do the next retreat,
But doing a spiritual mastermind for those of us who have high achieving individuals who want to take this spiritual learnings and this ahas that you're having.
And how do you show up in the world?
How do you put a plan to execute based on this drive,
This calling,
This inner yearning that's coming from your soul's purpose?
So that is the progression that I'm working on virtual.
So we're all safe and you know,
I don't have to worry about cancellations and whether you'll be trusting enough to be hanging out with people physically.
But I love retreats.
That's what I did for,
I've done over a hundred retreats in the last 10 years.
And that's my jam and I just want to feel confident and I want you all to feel confident before we go out and do this next retreat.
And so I don't know.
And go ahead and,
You know,
SD,
Go ahead and drop a comment on when and where.
I'm not saying I'm going to do it,
But I want you to at least suggest when do you think will be a good time for you to participate in retreat?
And then where in the world,
Which part,
Which geography would you think it'd be good?
So Deborah says,
Mount Shasta,
Please.
Yes.
Yes,
I have a place.
I know of a place already.
There's a question of timing it.
I have challenges in the way that I set boundaries.
I wait until I explode.
Yes.
And that's the thing that's about shadow.
That's where you cannot keep burying it,
Burying it,
Burying it till you can't bury it anymore.
So that's why looking in,
Taking the time,
Allowing that which is hidden away in your dark crevices of your caves inside your subconscious to emerge and to see the light of day and to hold it with space and compassion.
That's what I've been talking about this last several sessions in my shadow work series.
Can you please touch on my question if you have a chance?
I don't know what questions because this scroll keeps moving and I don't know which question.
Can you please repost it?
Italy or Ireland,
Please.
So Tara,
I have a gorgeous place in Italy,
Which I will be teaching once the world gets back into some sort of normalcy.
I have a beautiful,
Beautiful place belongs to a soul brother of mine.
It's a 500 acre property just outside of Tuscany.
It's in a town called Gubbio and I can go there anytime.
I have an open door invitation to his place.
It's a beautiful retreat center.
It's got agri-tourism,
So they have cultivating ancient grains there,
Making their own pasta.
They have horses and they are 45 minutes away from the second holiest place on the planet for Catholics,
Which is the Basilica of St.
Francis.
So I will be doing a retreat in Italy and it's a question of when.
And I was hoping that,
Like I said,
Pre-pandemic,
Every summer my goal was to be doing a retreat in Italy at this beautiful place in Gubbio.
And then summer was going to be there.
Then fall is going to be at Yellowstone National Park in the United States.
Winter,
South America,
Colombia or Mexico or maybe and Mexico,
Baja.
And then the spring is in Japan for cherry blossom.
That was my routine.
But then,
You know,
Here we are.
Yes.
Oh,
You have horses.
That's wonderful.
And Donna says,
Is inhale drawn from the throat or the nostrils?
Good question.
Yes.
The inhalation nostrils.
Nostrils,
Please.
Learn,
Practice,
Make that a good default network.
Why?
There are three reasons why you should be inhaling through your nostrils.
When you inhale from your nostrils,
You are moistening the air,
Loving the lungs.
It's,
You know,
Softer on the lungs.
You are warming the air and you are filtering the air.
Exhalation.
You can do both nostrils or the mouth.
Nostrils is better,
But there are certain ways in which there is this time of breathing this way.
When you exhale with those long,
So on,
Of the ocean,
Like I taught you today,
There's benefit there.
And the longer the exhale,
The greater your ability to relax.
Somebody mentioned the heartbeat changed just even the course of my session.
And I tell you,
Just even my breath work,
If you follow these guidelines,
You will see a noticeable difference in your blood pressure.
Yes.
Yellowstone.
Yeah.
Go and please look up photographs on Instagram and you'll see we had amazing retreat.
So there is a 2000 acre property right on the edge of Yellowstone.
There's a retreat center.
That's where I teach.
And that's usually in the fall.
But again,
I had to cancel my 2020.
Let's see when we get back there.
It's hard to set boundaries when you are very innately compassionate person.
Where is that line between boundary setting and trying to ease one's suffering?
Well,
Setting boundaries is the beginning of easing one's sufferings.
If you understood anything I talked today,
That's where it begins.
Because like I said,
You're repurposing that life giving energy into not having to defend,
Not having to ward off,
Not having to deal with the grief that when you get trampled upon,
When you get your boundaries trespassed.
Okay.
We come to the top of the hour.
And like I said,
We can continue this conversation.
