Welcome to this grounding meditation where we will take a few minutes to slow down,

A few minutes to ground ourselves,

Slow our nervous system down,

And reconnect in order to experience and see life clearly.

Focusing on the energy of the root chakra today,

Starting off by getting as comfortable as possible,

Sitting up tall,

Lengthening your spine,

Feeling your sit bones ground into the earth beneath you.

Just taking a moment to let go,

Let go of any tension in your body,

Let go of any thoughts in your mind as you relax one layer deeper.

And as you feel the ground beneath you,

Starting to relax your legs,

Relaxing your feet,

Your calves,

Your thighs,

Your hips,

Letting your stomach go.

Just imagine the earth holding you.

We will begin with some grounding breaths,

Starting to take a deep inhale through your nose,

Feeling the air pull up all the way from the bottom of your spine to the tops of your shoulders.

And hold as you exhale,

Letting everything go,

Relaxing one layer deeper,

Taking another deep inhale from the base of your spine,

Feeling the air move up through your chest to the tops of your shoulders.

And hold as you exhale,

Imagining any excess tension or stress melting down your body into the earth beneath you.

One more deep inhale,

Feeling the breath in the air move up through your body,

Filling your chest and your lungs,

Pause.

And a deep exhale,

Letting everything go.

Visioning any restless thoughts,

Any restless emotions just melting down through your body,

Through your sit bones into the earth beneath you.

As you continue to relax,

Taking a moment to focus on the root chakra,

Located the base of your spine.

This is our source of grounding.

So often,

We're moving so fast,

Our thoughts,

Our emotions,

Our energy,

Our day-to-day lives,

And we lose connection with ourself.

We find ourselves spinning out,

Feeling out of control,

Feeling chaotic.

And in those moments,

We simply need to breathe,

Reconnect with the grounding within ourselves.

Drawing your attention to your root chakra,

Starting to envision a glowing red light,

The base of your spine,

Just noticing what this energy center feels like within you.

Bringing awareness to any sensations in your body as we focus on slowing down.

Oftentimes we're operating from a state of fight or flight.

Our nervous system is activated.

Our mind is on guard.

We're putting so much energy towards figuring things out and planning that we forget the power of simply being present,

The power that comes from enjoying what's right in front of us.

When we slow down,

We're open to receive new experiences,

New opportunities,

New connections,

New insights.

So as we slow our body down,

As we slow our heartbeat down,

We return to a natural state where clarity and understanding comes from.

As you envision this red light spinning slowly,

Just scanning your body for any areas that you're holding on to any tension,

Breathing intentionally into that space.

Slowing your breath,

Letting go of any tension in your body.

Using your thoughts,

And it's okay if thoughts appear instead of attaching to them and following the thread.

Just allowing yourself to witness the thought and watch it naturally disappear.

Having more space in between the thoughts.

Continuing to focus on your root chakra.

As we ground into our bodies,

The thoughts naturally start to calm.

From this grounded place,

Repeating these affirmations out loud or in your head and imagining what it feels like to already embody these qualities.

Taking a deep breath in and a long exhale out.

I am safe.

I am safe in my own body.

I am home wherever I am.

With every breath,

I release doubt,

Fear,

And anxiety.

I choose to trust the universe to guide me.

Allowing these words,

Allowing this energy to sink into your nervous system.

Knowing that any time our world gets a little chaotic,

We're able to return to this grounding.

We're able to consciously breathe,

Let go of tension in our bodies,

Feel the earth beneath us.

Not needing external security in order to make us feel safe,

But finding that stability within our own selves.

Reclaiming our power.

Thank you for allowing me to guide you.

I hope this day brings you joy,

Peace,

And relaxation.

Namaste.
