Hello there.
This is Joanne Ross with Savor the Moment in Serenity.
And today we're going to do a meditation about your mind,
The magnificent instrument that is resting in your head.
So start by taking a deep breath through your nose and let it out of your mouth slowly.
Another deep breath in,
Fill your lungs and your chest and let it out slowly through your nose and through your mouth.
One more deep breath on your own.
I want you to fill your chest,
Your lungs and your stomach and let it out slowly either through your nose or through your mouth and close your eyes.
I want you to get really comfortable.
I want you to feel really connected to whatever surface that you're sitting on or that you're lying on.
Let the ground or your bed or the chair or the couch support you.
Just let your energy flow through your body and give over your weight and let yourself be fully supported.
I want you to imagine that there are roots growing out of the soles of your feet and these roots are growing into the ground.
They're making their way into the ground and they are growing deeper and deeper.
These are your roots so you get to decide what your roots look like.
Are your roots thick?
Are your roots thin?
Are they curly?
Are they straight?
Are they transparent?
Do they have a certain color?
Are they multicolored?
Imagine your roots any way you want.
What do your roots feel like today in this very,
Very moment?
Feel them going into the earth deeper and deeper.
Feel them spreading out and multiplying and your roots are magical.
They can go out and they can attach themselves to the roots of anybody else,
Whoever your family may be,
Your best friend.
If you'd like,
You can go and attach yourself to the roots of your favorite tree,
Your favorite flower.
Let your roots go deeper and deeper,
Wider and wider,
Deeper into Mother Earth.
Mother Earth is supporting you and she is feeding you up through your roots.
She is feeding you her love,
Her warmth,
Her energy.
You can feel all of this coming up through your roots.
You feel so warm,
Relaxed.
You feel loved and you feel cherished.
Even if these aren't feelings that you're used to,
Let yourself try and imagine them.
These are your roots.
You deserve to let yourself be loved and if you can't quite get there right in this moment,
Just let yourself be liked.
Let your roots like you.
Mother Earth likes you.
Calm,
Relaxed.
Feel that energy coming up through the soles of your feet,
Sliding down into your toes,
Through your foot,
Around your ankle,
Around your shins and your calves and your knees,
Up through your thigh,
Your hips,
Into your internal organs,
All of them,
Through your blood,
Your nerves,
Your tendons,
Your cartilage,
Every little atom that makes up your internal organs,
Up through your spine,
Down through your chest,
Around your abdomen,
Your lower back,
Your middle back,
Your upper back,
Swirling around your chest,
Around that beautiful heart of yours,
Warmth and light,
Up your neck,
Gently swirling around your neck and down through your shoulders,
Around your arms,
Warmth and energy from Mother Earth,
Light,
Love,
Around your forearms and your wrists,
The back of your hand,
The palm of your hand,
The palm of your hand,
Into your fingers.
Feel yourself being caressed by the energy of Mother Earth,
Up through your arm,
Up through your neck.
Feel that warmth and energy and love,
Swirling around your head,
Around your shoulders,

Around your shoulders,
Around your shoulders,
It's part of who you are.
It's part of what makes you different from everybody else.
Your perfect face for perfect you.
I want you to go inside that beautiful brain of yours,
Your mind.
And I want you to repeat after me,
Either out loud or in your mind.
My thoughts are real forces.
Thoughts are real forces.
My thoughts are real forces.
My thoughts,
My thoughts,
Are real forces.
Wow.
Wow.
That means I am powerful.
We're going to do a tiny little exercise to show you how powerful your thoughts are.
I want you to imagine a lemon.
A lemon.
Imagine a lemon.
I want you to see it in your mind's eye.
What color is it?
What shape is it?
What does the surface of this lemon look like?
Now I want you to put your hands in front of you,
Ready to receive something.
Both hands together,
Palms up.
And I want you to imagine that lemon in your hands.
Can you feel it?
Is it heavy?
Is it light?
I want you to caress that lemon in your hands.
Feel its texture.
Is it smooth?
Is it soft?
Is it smooth?
Is it bumpy?
Is it hard?
And try squeezing it.
Can you feel that give a little under the pressure of your fingers?
What does it feel like?
Now I want you to hold it up to your nose.
Take a big sniff.
Can you smell the lemon?
What does it smell like?
Does that smell have some memories attached to it?
Remember,
Your thoughts and your mind are real forces.
Is the imagination of smelling a lemon invoking memories in your mind?
Wow,
That's incredible.
I want a picture.
I want you to pick a picture.
Picture yourself putting that lemon down on a cutting board.
And I want you to picture yourself getting a nice sharp knife and being very careful.
You're completely safe with this big sharp knife.
And I want you to take the knife and I want you to cut the lemon in four pieces.
While you're cutting the lemon,
Listen.
What is the sound of you cutting that lemon?
Can you smell that cut lemon?
Did you hear some of the juice escaping that lemon as you cut it?
What is the colour of the inside of the lemon?
What is the texture?
Touch it with your fingers.
What does it feel like?
And I want you to take one of those quarters of the lemon.
Hold it up to your nose.
Take another big sniff.
Do you enjoy that smell?
I love that smell.
What does that smell make you think of?
It makes me think of freshness and cleanliness,
Spring and summer,
Comfort.
Maybe it makes you think of something different.
Maybe it makes you think of something different.
Now I want you to imagine yourself closing your eyes.
And you're gonna take a big bite out of that lemon.
Ready?
And take a big bite.
And chomp on that.
Let the taste of that lemon swirl around your mouth.
Did anything interesting happen while you were taking a bite of that lemon?
Did your body react in a certain way?
Did your mouth pucker?
Did you make a funny face?
Did you grimace?
Oh,
Isn't that interesting?
Did you really have a lemon?
Did you really take a bite out of that lemon?
That is the power of your mind.
Just imagining something and your entire body was involved with that lemon.
It reacted to your thoughts.
Isn't that amazing?
Wow.
Wow.
So I'm going to leave you with this thought.
You are the master of your mind.
You can feel things just by thinking about something.
So that means if you want to feel really good,
Think about something that makes you feel really good.
Really think about it.
Just like we did.
Feel it.
See it.
Hear it.
Taste it.
Smell it.
Feel it.
Feel it in your body.
And guess what?
You're going to feel good.
You're going to feel good.
You can do that anytime,
Anywhere.
It's all within you.
And I want you to remember that you are enough.
You are enough exactly as you are in this very moment.
That's all that really matters is this very,
Very moment.
You're perfect.
Want you to remember that.
I am enough.
Want you to say it out loud or in your mind.
I am enough.
Do you hear the birds singing?
They're agreeing completely with what I am saying.
And they're letting you know you are enough.
Anytime during your day,
Think this thought.
I am enough.
And you will feel like you are enough.
And you will feel good about yourself.
I slowly want you to start bringing yourself back into the present moment.
Back into wherever you may be.
Wiggle your fingers.
Wiggle your toes.
And when you're ready,
Put a big smile on your face and open your eyes.
Welcome back.
Enjoy this glorious day.
And try to think throughout the day.
Thoughts are real forces.
My thoughts are real forces.
Enjoy your day.
Namaste.
