Hi,
My name is Jocelyn and this is a meditation for healing the inner child.
Many of us have experiences throughout the day where feelings of hurt and frustration,
Pain,
Sadness,
Feelings that feel old get triggered.
This meditation is designed to connect you with that place deep inside and bring healing and love to that version of yourself.
That age you were when perhaps you didn't get exactly what you needed when you needed it.
And there is no one better suited to heal your inner child than you.
So I invite you to find a quiet,
Comfortable seat,
Arrange pillows or your clothes or whatever needs adjusting.
Find a way you can sit or lie down for about 15 to 20 minutes and feel completely safe and undisturbed.
Close your eyes.
Join me in taking a nice full deep breath.
Good.
And take another inhaling and exhaling.
You keep breathing.
Inhale and exhale.
As you continue to take these calming slow deep breaths,
With each inhale,
Just gathering up any excess energy.
On the exhale,
Releasing that energy.
On the inhale,
Drawing into yourself.
And on the exhale,
Allowing your awareness to dive deeper.
With each breath becoming more and more relaxed.
Letting your awareness drift gently deep down within yourself.
As you allow your awareness like a feather to drift down.
Deepening your relaxation.
Allow that feather of your awareness to drift with love.
As your awareness settles deep within yourself.
Imagine that feather settling down to the floor of your being.
Settling down with deep compassion and love.
Now ask yourself,
What age needs healing right now?
Your mind will tell you.
Whatever answer you received is the right one.
Imagine yourself at that age.
Maybe there's a setting.
Maybe you can recall a place or time.
Knowing that you are revealing this version of yourself in the safety of your adult experience.
Just look upon that scene and see that version of you with love,
Kindness,
Compassion.
Walk up to that version of you and pick them up.
Hold them in your arms.
That younger you.
Hold them close.
Feeling that overwhelming unconditional love for that child.
Letting that spill from your heart into their heart.
Feeling their relief.
Your relief in being held so safely and so lovingly by the one person who truly understands them.
You.
I like to imagine the inner child's legs wrapped around my waist and their arms around my neck as I hold them close.
Allowing the heartbeats to sink.
Letting the inner child's body relax and feel safe and comforted.
Feeling trust and security return as I hold them close.
The adult version of you can reassure that child that they made it.
Whatever you overcame or survived,
You made it.
You made it to this point in time to lovingly go within and heal the self.
Breathing deeply into that connection that you create through unconditional love.
Exhale.
Staying with this inner love for this young version of yourself.
Breathing into that.
Inhale.
Exhale.
And as you continue to breathe here,
You can let that version of yourself,
That little child know that everything's going to be okay.
That you've got them.
Let them know how proud you are of them.
Tell them how much you love them and that they're safe.
They are safe.
And everything is working out.
You can see the environment where you found them and wave goodbye.
Taking your child with you.
Letting that original environment fade into nothingness.
Allow this inner child to merge into your heart.
Until this image and version of you is fully integrated inside your heart.
With unconditional love,
Acceptance,
Encouragement,
Forgiveness.
Whatever that young child version of you needs in this moment.
Give to them unconditionally.
This full integration lets that part of you know they can never be abandoned.
They will never be forgotten.
And that they are loved unconditionally.
Let them know it is safe now to integrate into the wholeness of your adult being.
Once again,
Bringing your awareness to your heart center.
Inhaling deeply.
Feeling that inner love.
Exhale,
Releasing any grief that may have come up.
That's okay.
Inhaling once again.
Nice full breath.
Exhale,
Releasing any tension feeling into the fullness of your heart center.
Inhale one more deep breath.
Gathering up any remnants of tension,
Fear,
Grief.
And on the exhale,
Open the mouth and let it out.
Knowing that in this moment you are whole.
You are loved unconditionally by the source of self,
The inner being.
Every version of you is held perfectly in this moment.
In a loving embrace.
Feeling into that awareness.
If you'd like,
You can wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a hug.
Or simply thank yourself for showing up for this practice today.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
