Oh,

Here I go again.

Here's my reactions.

I need to express all that I feel,

All that I think.

Because yes,

There's what's happened,

And then there's how I feel about it,

What I think about it,

And I see there's a choice in how I react to it.

It can be really hard to make a U-turn here.

I can make a U-turn here.

Right now is a good time to take this reaction and channel the energy in another direction.

I can come down so I can calm down.

I can come back to center.

I can come back to clarity,

Noticing my feet,

My toes,

The energy in my body.

We're feeling the reaction the most,

And I can come back to calm.

I take a deep breath,

And I find that part of me that wants to connect with a new way of reacting.

I take more deep breaths and lock eyes with that part of me that really wants a new way of reacting,

A new way of dealing with it,

And a new way of clearing out my suffering.

I'm continuing to notice your body,

Where it is right now,

The space around your body.

I'm taking more deep breaths.

Notice that you have another superpower.

It's the power to deflate overreactions and inflate calm,

Ease,

And groundedness,

The superpower to witness the feelings,

Witness the thoughts,

Comment on the feelings,

Comment on the thoughts.

I am boosting my resilience.

I'm steering myself in a different direction than before.

As I feel myself coming down from the height of my reaction,

I feel myself calming down and finding a comfortable,

Safe,

And different place.

I'm okay with coming back to a calm state.

I can still have my feelings about the situation.

I can still have my thoughts,

My opinions,

And my beliefs about what's happening.

I'm able to witness it,

Every reaction.

I'm able to soothe myself to come down and calm down,

To use my superpower,

And release what hurts me and doesn't help me.

I have the inner power to embrace calm.

I awaken my power to come back to calm.

I'm growing deep roots for staying calm.

And so continue some deep,

Calming breaths,

Relaxing your muscles,

Slowing your breathing,

Feeling the superpower change,

Make the U-turn,

Giving yourself time to deflate overreactions and to boost resilience,

Welcoming a different energy,

A different reaction,

And embracing the state of calm,

Letting each breath soothe you,

Finding comfort in your breathing,

Absorbing this calm space,

Knowing you can return to it at any time.

Guess who you're gonna feel that way?

You you you
