Welcome to Your Life Matters Soul Connection Podcast with your host,

Moa Juny Swadron.

Today I am absolutely delighted to welcome Les Jensen.

Les,

Hello.

Welcome to the podcast.

Juny,

Thank you so much for having me on your show.

I'm delighted to be here.

Oh,

Thank you.

Oh,

Wow.

So I'd like to just share with everybody a little bit about you.

So I'm going to read this so I don't kind of go off in another direction.

And then we'll just move right into our conversation.

So everyone,

Les is an author and a radio host,

Speaker,

Energy master and visionary.

He was born in a Mormon household in Brigham City,

Utah,

The last of seven children.

This laissez-faire situation allowed significant freedom to explore his strong sense of independence and to indulge his curiosity about the world around him,

How it worked and the people within it.

His technical skills eventually led to a very successful career in engineering in the broadcast industry.

And it was here that he experienced a spiritual experience and a spiritual awakening.

He hadn't had a spiritual notion of himself before that.

But decades of studying the nature of frequency,

Energy and the very high levels of the power in television had prepared him for working with energy of the human consciousness.

And then his life path changed.

Everything Les had learned about energy would later show up in many ways.

It's going to be so exciting to hear about them all,

Including his writings.

He's written many books.

His language was that of karma,

Emotions,

Mental stigmas,

Energy bodies,

Levels of consciousness,

And the power behind them.

Meanwhile,

Years before becoming an author,

Les experienced this energy in the form of a life changing moment,

What he describes as that broke himself wide open.

He felt so much energy pouring out of his personal persona that he went inside his inner self and started cleaning up whatever he found that did not serve him any longer.

So more or less naturally,

A good play on words,

Such life altering changes led to the creation of the new human living.

2009,

A global platform to assist humanity in discovering their own truth without any bias towards any religious group or assisting establishment,

Les has kept the focus of all this material on the personal empowerment of the individual,

Where the guidance of the best life path came from each individual's heart.

Based on the notion that the kingdom of heaven is within us,

Each one of us now and always is always there.

And by keeping the focus on the purity of the individual's life energy,

Les' material transcends the inherent cultural bias of those existing establishment's beliefs.

Wow.

So Les is an author of many books.

The most recent is Citizen King.

Welcome again,

Les Jensen.

I'm looking forward to this conversation.

Thank you.

So am I.

So,

You know,

Les,

I love learning how people move from their beginnings to their current passion.

And you've had so many life changes,

Right?

Could you please take us on a journey and tell us some of the significant stepping stones that brings you to where you are today?

Oh,

Sure.

Well,

I was 35 years old and I had no notion whatsoever of spirituality or cosmic two by four or anything.

Had you talked to me in that moment about my life trajectory?

Well,

I'm a TV engineer.

I'm going to work in TV,

Period.

End of story.

And working in TV,

I worked in front of these really high powered television transmitters.

I mean,

These are very high power.

Our electric bill for one month would be seven thousand dollars.

Well,

A lot of power.

We use thirty two thousand volts to make a million watts and thirty two thousand volts will drop you like a brick.

And so my my young brain,

I just I just graduated from high school.

That's the end of my formal education.

I had to wrap my noggin around.

What the hell says power?

What is this beast that I'm standing in front of?

And I think my soul chose that to help me understand what power is.

I mean,

First hand right in front of me,

First hand.

And it took me it took me years of scratching my noggin to wrap my head around what is power.

And again,

This is all before the cosmic two by four.

And then at thirty five years old,

The moment my life changed,

I was in a psychiatrist's office and he's like,

Bless,

Let's talk about this anger.

I'm like,

Huh?

What anger?

I don't get angry.

He puts his hand on.

He says,

Come on,

Push on my hand.

And I push on his hand and I kind of sink down in the overstuffed couch.

And I'm like,

This is lame.

And he kind of got he got up in my face and he said,

Look,

It's OK,

Lass.

Look,

I'm safe.

You're safe.

In fact,

I'd like to see your anger.

And boy,

Howdy,

Like a bug hitting the windshield,

Some valve inside of me put his hand out again and said push.

And I easily pushed him across the room.

Well,

This this immense amount of anger is flowing out of me like a volcano,

Just exactly like turning on a high power transmitter.

Whoosh.

And it's flowing out of me.

And I was quite startled.

And I'm like,

What are you?

And the anger was like,

And this is real important.

I don't care.

I don't care how you respond to me.

And looking back on that,

In hindsight,

I realize karma is very impersonal.

Emotions are impersonal.

But they have so much energy come out of my psyche.

The engineer in me said,

Time out.

Where has this been in my psyche that I didn't know of and how had it been influencing my life?

And that was really the birthplace of a completely different life trajectory.

I could imagine it would be if you were not in touch with that anger and you were just living your life.

And this psychologist,

Psychiatrist said,

Show me your anger.

And you're going,

What anger?

It had to have been,

Like you said,

In front of those great powerful energy machines that you're looking in front of.

Some people,

I just love your curiosity and the way your mind works,

Because some people would be working in an end as an engineer in a television station with all of these high powered equipment.

And the way you described it is like,

You could just blow anybody up in a second.

And just they're in front of,

They're doing their thing and they wouldn't even think about it.

They'd go home.

But you needed to know what is that power?

What is that energy?

What's that all about?

How does it get there?

And then this experience that you're talking about that just blew everything out of the water for you,

Recognizing where is that?

And the fact that the anger said,

I don't care how you feel about me,

I don't care what you think.

It's I am who I am.

I'm that.

And I'm about to,

I'm releasing the way I need to.

That's right.

That in itself must have been what?

And then you talked about karma in that same breath.

And so I'm curious to know why you bring that into that situation.

Tell us about that.

Well,

I like really simple definitions.

OK.

And so to describe karma,

I would describe it as aspects of our past influencing us in this moment.

Right.

And so I had I had all this anger in me.

Right.

And karmically,

What was the karmic consequence of this subconscious off the radar?

I'm not aware of it.

What's the consequence of this anger,

Emotion in my psyche?

My ego was scared to death of anything at all related to anger.

So if I started going into a dynamic that was going to get me mad,

Just maybe,

Just maybe get me mad without me recognizing that I was posturing with anger,

I would change.

So my boss said,

Belittle me.

And I would concede my my wife had wanted paint the kitchen for us and pink.

I'm kidding.

And I can see because I couldn't if if there was something that might and that's real important,

That might bring up anger,

It's off the table.

You're pushing it right down.

Well,

I'm not you're not even aware of it.

That's right.

It's not a conscious thing.

So if this is the choices of an enlightened being,

I'm living my life like this,

Because all these had consequences I didn't want to brush up against.

Exactly.

Which is why you would concede.

So I had habitual patterns of avoiding so many opportunities.

Tell us about that.

Well,

It's a karmic consequence.

Hey,

Boss,

You're treating me like crap.

In fact,

I need a raise.

That changed my life.

You know,

You know,

Fluorescent pink isn't cutting it for me.

I think we should do some more earth tones.

And now I'm speaking my voice and now I'm much more present.

And now I have a sense of control effect of my life,

Right?

And so all those were off the table.

And it was also conscious.

Wow.

So at some point,

Obviously,

You reckon they brought to consciousness,

Obviously,

When the anger just exploded out of you.

Yes.

Yeah,

That would put you on another trajectory of many,

Many things to eventually have that voice,

To eventually be able to say,

Can we have earth tones?

Could you give me a raise,

Please,

To be in your power and know how to express that?

But many,

Many things would get you between that experience to having a voice or just kind of,

Wow,

What else is unconscious?

What else is unconscious?

And that was 25 years ago.

And every single day,

Every single day,

I pay attention to my psyche.

And if I can turn up some dirt,

If I can bring up some ugly feeling,

Woo-hoo,

Woo-hoo,

Because it's energetically in me.

And so there's some aspect of the world outside of me that it is having a karmic propensity towards.

And so I realized that it's like electricity or perhaps gravity.

Gravity is great because we can see the effect of gravity.

That's quite obvious.

But we can't see gravity.

We can't see it,

But we can see the effect.

That's a brilliant analogy.

Sorry,

Go on.

Yeah,

I love that.

And then there's electricity.

And you can go your whole life and not know about it because it's not obvious.

So now we have consciousness,

Human consciousness.

Well,

I think that's the most powerful thing I've mentioned out of all these elements.

And so if you think of a savior or a deity,

They've got all their power online.

But how do we lose that power and go to a sense of hopelessness,

A homeless person,

A victim,

A slave?

Well,

We load up our psyche with unresolved consciousness.

Where does the energy of karma come from?

What's my own consciousness?

Karma,

The energy behind karma is my own consciousness that I didn't give myself permission to feel in the moment.

And had I felt it in the moment,

I wouldn't have accumulated it.

Now,

My dad was a World War II vet.

And I know in the foxhole,

He had to come to terms with some pretty ugly things.

And it made him very angry that I think he had such a light heart.

And then to be forced to kill made him extremely angry.

And this is long before I'm even born.

So in my family household,

If dad got mad,

You couldn't make yourself small enough.

Everybody wanted to become invisible.

And so to make that safe,

I learned that I don't want to be the one that brings the anger dynamic into the household.

I'm going to install this valve in my psyche that when anger comes up,

It goes right back down without me even knowing.

Absolutely.

I think that is,

I think we all do that unconsciously in order to protect ourselves and stay safe if we come from a household or there's other influences in our life where we feel someone else has power over us.

And when we're kids,

They do.

We don't have,

Most of us have come from children should be seen and not heard or whatever else it has been that if it's not pleasant,

We learn to adapt so that we can feel safe and breathe easy.

Survive.

To survive.

And so of course,

We stop being conscious of it.

It just becomes who we are.

It just becomes the way in which we naturally go about life until it stops working.

So conscious karmic patterning,

Subconscious karmic posturing propensity.

Yes.

And what you were saying is until I gave,

You gave yourself permission to feel the feelings.

Oh,

Sure.

Well,

The first moment,

In that moment that the anger came out of me,

My ego didn't have any posture with it.

Now,

Had it been in an argument,

I'm sure I would have dropped into reaction and said,

This has to stop.

I would collapse the narrative of an anger incident.

But in that moment,

I don't think I was prepared to react.

Here comes all this anger.

And the curious thing was,

Although my ego had been scared to death of it,

After that first event,

It's like,

Well,

Wait a minute.

That wasn't all that bad.

And so I went and looked and I found more anger.

And when I felt it flowing out of me,

Since I wouldn't react with a posture that collapsed it,

I could stay in the flow and go,

OK,

Bring it.

Bring it.

And an immense,

Much more energy to pour out of my psyche.

And I could have a much more powerful healing event in the moment because I wouldn't react.

I understood the energy was impersonal and that the energy had a karmic consequence in my life.

So every single time I feel energy in my psyche,

That the uglier,

The better.

Let's get it out.

And after 25 years,

Wow,

Wow.

And I still keep looking.

I mean,

Just a week or two ago,

I was meditating about unconditional love.

And boy,

Howdy,

This grief came over me.

And I fell to the floor.

And I'm bawling my head off.

And I know not to stop it.

And so I give myself permission.

You might think of it as being a drama queen.

But I gave myself permission to just get rid of it.

And every single time I do that,

My energy goes up more.

And I quit getting sick.

I respond from emotional triggering in a much shorter period of time.

The vibration of my persona is vibrating much higher.

And so I'm connected to a higher wisdom in my psyche,

If that makes sense.

Yeah,

It makes sense to me because you are letting go of all the things that don't serve you,

Which you said earlier.

Because the only way to do that,

Or there was probably many ways in,

But is to be able to feel the feelings fully and completely.

However,

People who might be listening,

And you're talking about,

Oh,

Let the anger out.

Let's just get rid of it.

I don't think you're talking about exploding over other people.

So how do you stay safe within yourself?

Or say you're triggered by somebody.

And that brings up the anger.

And you become the witness of it.

You're watching it as opposed to reacting.

What do you do to be able to,

We're not all in an ashram.

Right.

Well,

Yeah,

I like that.

And so how do you in real life just find a way to move from something externally outside of you that's really,

Whoa,

That,

You know,

It's really like that.

And you're mad.

You're just like,

Why not?

What do you do?

Great question.

One thing I could say is to release the anger and to fester in the anger are two completely different things.

Releasing the anger is no resistance,

And it's flowing out of me.

Festering is when your ego jumps into this anger dialect.

That SOB,

He's the reason I'm,

He's the reason I'm.

That's festering.

You're actually anchoring the pattern of anger in your mental patterning.

And you're not really healthy,

Developing a healthy habit of releasing.

So if I get triggered,

It's never about what triggers me.

It's about me.

And this is very powerful in personal relationships.

The,

I mean,

I'm sure 2020 brought millions of couples into arguments they never would have had,

Had they not been homebound for so much time.

And if your relationship,

Whether it be with somebody at work or somebody you're intimate with,

If they have a behavior that triggers you and your energy flares up,

What energy's flaring up?

Mine.

Mine.

Now,

We tend to be attracted to the bosses,

The people that are a mirror of our own subconscious imprinting.

And so when you first,

Like my boss,

10 years before I cracked open,

I had a boss that was three things.

He was malicious.

He was a SOB.

You might call him evil,

But he was my angel.

He was my angel.

Every day for a decade,

He'd sit there and just drill me down.

And my anger would get stirred up.

And you'd push it right down.

And I'd go home,

And it'd take me an hour to crash on the couch.

If you come home from work and you just want to crash and veg,

Let your subconscious anger get stirred up.

But he was such an angel.

I'm sure I had a huge soul contract with this man.

And he put me on the couch.

He stirred up my anger every day so diligently.

He was such a diligent,

Malicious SOB.

And I thank him for that.

Maybe you needed that.

Sincerely.

Sincerely.

He is a very powerful man in my life.

And I thank him for being such a SOB.

And so once I released that anger energy,

He didn't have any interest in me.

I fell off his radar because he used anger as a method of control.

And when I quit responding to the anger,

He lost interest in me.

He's like,

I want to have people I have dominance over.

And I keep dominance over them by keeping them in an emotional reactive pattern.

And once I quit that habitual patterning,

It was like magic.

He just quit bumping into me,

And I fell off his radar.

So everybody who triggers you is your teacher and has given you a gift in the moment,

If that makes sense.

Oh,

Yeah.

Well,

It totally makes sense because I see every experience that we live is an opportunity to grow,

Especially the hardest ones,

The ones that come as two by fours.

We get gifts with bouquets or two by fours.

And until we get hit on the head by something that really wakes us up,

Right?

And I think we get,

We're paying attention,

We get lots and lots of information beforehand from our gut that says,

Don't go there.

Right.

And we keep going there until whack,

You don't go there anymore.

Oh.

And then it's like crashing down.

And then later we can see,

Wow,

The lessons I've learned from that.

And then you go and say,

That boss is one of the biggest gifts that he's ever given anyone because he's got,

I've got my power back.

Yes.

And he can't control me.

Nobody can because I'm not under anybody else's,

What's the word,

Tyranny.

Yeah.

Well,

And it's a curious thing because people will seem very functional.

I mean,

Their life is really in order.

They're doing everything right.

And I'm sure I would have looked that way to somebody else before I got cracked open.

And so the measuring stick,

The traditional cultural measuring stick is broken.

I mean,

We don't genuinely look at this point of,

I mean,

I'm a point of presence of source consciousness or the kingdom of heaven is within,

The father and I are one.

So I think the most powerful substance on the planet,

Bar none,

Is human consciousness.

I say this because conservative numbers put the prayers to God at a billion prayers over the centuries.

God,

Come save our fannies.

We're torturing each other here.

God,

The suffering on planet Earth sucks.

Come save our keisters.

And no glowing orb comes down from the sky ever.

It's flesh and bones that shows up.

So even though there's powerful deities,

They're pretty much,

They're not going to reach over our shoulder and change the dynamic.

We're here for the human experience.

We're here to resolve our own problems through the human persona.

And so to recognize that you're divinity,

You're the vehicle of divinity,

And then clean your house and hone what your life purpose is,

Then you can show up in a powerful way.

Then you can show up as the visionary of what would heal humanity and also the vehicle to bring it into form,

If that makes sense.

Well,

That's the irony,

Isn't it?

That God help us.

We're killing one another.

Yes.

Right?

Yes.

And then it's through the processes of our own inner healing,

Our own awakening,

Our own human consciousness,

That it's not only when we do go within and grow,

That we start seeing in our outer world reflecting more and more beauty because we are releasing whatever wasn't that to us.

And we just move into higher levels of consciousness.

And then we become the heaven on Earth.

And we're a walking embodiment of what we've been asking for something out there to be.

But to me,

All those synchronicities will come.

I call it cash karma these days because it's kind of like you ask for it and it's there.

Whether it's good or it's not good,

I mean,

It doesn't matter,

It is impersonal.

It's whatever we're thinking and focus on,

That's what's going to grow.

And so because of the high energies in the world today and this new 50 dimension that we're moving in and moving from the third to now into this love consciousness from ego consciousness or however you want to describe it,

From anger,

War,

Competition,

To all of that to a more no,

Let's embrace one another.

Let's move into this humanity and harmony and love and divinity.

It's like,

I don't know,

Every day is just filled with miracles.

And I just see it everywhere.

And a lot of people I know see it everywhere.

And the world is that.

And it's such a contradiction at a time where we've never been in a time like this,

Where COVID has now been long over a year.

And for some people,

The fear is enormous.

And it's like really how anybody watching this from that consciousness would be saying,

What are they talking about?

Are they blind?

And yeah,

So all I want to say about that is for me personally,

I just want to embody the light and not get seduced into the fear because it's out there for sure.

Always has been.

As you clench your personal energy persona,

You discover really an ocean of peace,

An ocean of wisdom,

An ocean of love at the core of your being.

And when love,

Love is a very powerful thing.

And as you embody self-love,

You look with compassion at all of humanity.

Your relationship with God is your relationship with all of humanity.

And in my book,

Forgiven Sinner,

God's Last Savior,

And that title was so wrong because people take it as a religious book.

It's a spiritual book about our life purpose.

You're here.

I'm here.

Once I broke open my perception,

I'm here to do many more things than I ever had comprehension of.

As you read in my bio,

I'm an author and a radio show host and a visionary.

And that helps me show up for the reason I'm here.

And when I show up for the reason I'm here,

Today,

I feel satisfied.

Today,

I feel a sense of fulfillment in my heart,

In my soul,

And my ego.

But before,

I was living in this little ego portal.

And my heart and my soul didn't get a sense of fulfillment because I wasn't really moving forward with the much bigger picture of why I was here.

Right.

Well,

How could you?

Coming from absolute ignorance.

Well,

Yes.

I suppose we can use that word for anything that we don't know until we know it.

That's what ignorance is,

Right?

It's not stupidity.

It's not anything.

But when you come from certain backgrounds like yourself,

A very highly religious and very strict religious background.

And you described a father that repressed and this anger from the war.

But then when he exploded,

It's like,

Let's get out of here.

Let's disappear,

Right?

And so to come from that kind of religious,

Very strict upbringing to where you are today,

It's day and night.

It's day and night.

I mean,

Would you have thought way back then that one day you would be this author,

Speaker,

Or radio host talking about love and feeling so good within yourself?

Not at all.

I wouldn't have thought that whatsoever.

Being the last of seven kids,

I think my folks were totally burned out on the discipline kid raising.

And that gave me fierce freedom to think whatever I wanted.

Nobody cared what I thought.

And that's not a bad thing at all.

And so I'm fiercely curious about everything.

And then my soul chose that I be born into a Mormon household.

Now,

I have nothing whatsoever against the Mormon religion.

They have very wonderful aspects of the religion that help millions of people.

But in that discernment,

I weighed every single thing that came across my awareness.

God's out there.

He's going to come save our ass sometime.

I chewed on that for quite a while.

And so if I suggest,

Now I can say for myself,

My soul put me in TV,

Made me the last of seven,

Put me in a staunch religious household.

And that set me up for my life purpose.

I could look back at my family dynamics and how I was raised.

I could easily be bitter about a whole slew of things.

But I suggest to you,

The listener,

If you take a close look at the family dynamics of what you were born into,

You look at your own personal demeanor,

And you recognize your life purpose,

You're going to have a genuine sense of gratitude.

I'm very grateful.

I'm very grateful to be here now,

This small town kid from Utah talking about all this stuff.

I mean,

I never would have thought it.

But I want to show up 100% for every single aspect of why I'm here.

I hear you.

So what would you suggest,

Les,

For people who are not there but aspire to get to a place where they can have pure peace within themselves,

Where they can look at their family of origin that they would not see necessarily as a gift today,

Or even today looking back,

And they're so far away from any of that kind of thinking,

But have a deep,

Deep,

Deep desire to find some way out of the pain that they are at least aware of but don't exactly know how to identify it.

So they're still projecting out that it's everyone else's fault.

But there's this deep yearning to find some peace and not be that person who is always angry.

Right.

Well,

The day before I cracked open,

I would say the vast majority,

The bigger part of my psyche was unconscious to me.

And so if people are in the situation you're talking of,

You need to bring some consciousness.

You need to bring some awareness to who you are in this moment.

How do they do that?

One of the practices I teach is no thought meditation.

And this will kick your ass.

So set your phones are not necessarily my first choice because you can get texts and whatnot that can distract you,

But a kitchen timer or something like that.

Set it for 10 minutes and stop your thoughts,

Preferably early in the morning before your monkey mind goes crazy.

So relatively soon after you get up,

If you live in a busy household,

Go to the basement.

Go sit in the car in the garage.

Go in the bathroom.

Set it for 10 minutes and stop your thoughts.

How do you do that?

How do you stop your thoughts?

Well,

At first,

It doesn't work out that way.

It goes something like this.

You set the timer,

And you go ding,

And you go.

And thoughts start showing up.

Well,

This is stupid.

Now,

As soon as a thought shows up,

You say one thing.

Thank you.

And that's a period at the end of the paragraph.

You're done.

This is stupid.

Thank you.

Less is full of crap.

I know.

No,

Wait,

Wait.

Less is full of crap.

Thank you.

We need gas in the car.

Thank you.

And when you first do it,

All the thoughts that were subconscious are going to start crossing your radar.

And so I did no thought meditation for 10 years.

And after you do it for 10 minutes,

You'll notice a change in your psyche,

Bump it up to 20 minutes.

I did up to an hour of no thought every day.

And in this moment,

I can pretty easily have zero mental dialogue in my head.

And some of the advantages of this is I'm aware in the moment.

It's like a perpetual prayer.

So when I'm aware in the moment and an unrecognized emotion gets stirred up,

Oh,

I see it.

When somebody comes in that treats me in a way that I don't prefer,

I recognize the thoughts come out of my subconscious because there's a quiet space and they stick out when they're the only thought there.

So no thought meditation,

I suggest.

There's several reasons,

And this would turn into a whole different conversation.

But when you get to source consciousness at the center of your being,

There's no thought.

It's a field of consciousness.

Your soul doesn't need languaging.

The kingdom of heaven is a field of love.

And so the no thought meditation sets you up very well to recognize that there's this eminent field perpetually illuminating my persona till the end of time.

Tell me about the persona.

You talk about persona.

What do you mean when you say that?

I could have chose the word avatar because of the movie Avatar.

You're occupying a body.

But I chose not to do that.

I chose persona,

And I like the term personal energy persona because the term persona is not used in the traditional vocabulary to identify ourselves.

So there's no emotional attachment to that term.

So I'm bringing in a new term and saying persona.

And I like persona because it means my physical self,

And it means my subconscious dogma.

It means my mental patterning.

It's like the whole picture,

The whole collective summary of my mental,

Emotional,

Spiritual,

And physical persona,

If that makes sense.

It's kind of like,

Again,

It's an impersonal.

And so as opposed to it's my this,

That,

It's everything.

And again,

It's like,

OK,

This is what inhabits this body.

Well,

And not only the body,

Though.

But the soul.

Subconscious energy,

That anger I didn't have,

That was part of my persona.

Right,

Right,

Right,

Right.

So this is all fascinating for me.

Well,

It really is.

I love it.

I love it too.

I love it too.

I mean,

I've been on a spiritual path for a lot,

A lot of years.

And I've had a lot of two by fours.

And I've had a lot of awakenings.

And my life doesn't look anything like it did when I was a child growing up as well.

And when I kind of came into the spiritual realm,

There were very few books around or anything really.

But it's always been a calling.

And it's always kept me on a path.

I'd leave it the path,

That's for sure,

Because I would just get seduced into whatever I thought was the right thing to do here and there.

But we've gone our way.

If it's like what you were talking about,

If it's a life purpose,

If it's a calling,

If it's something beyond what isn't working,

And to look at something else.

And I think that's a beautiful thing of what this shutdown has been for everybody,

Because it's forced people to go beyond what the norm has been to ask what really matters.

What do I really want to do in this life?

Is this the partner I really want to be with?

Is this how can we come together?

What is important?

It just took us off the trajectory of same old,

Same old,

Because that was the way it was,

Until we'll stop.

Right.

And I don't know.

Well,

Before I cracked open,

I had this angry boss,

And had I blamed him and left my job and went to some other boss,

I would just be trading teachers.

So what I'm talking about here is 2020 kind of put the magnifying glass on our inner self.

And if you're in a relationship with somebody where there's a lot of emotional reaction,

Don't leave the teacher to go find another teacher.

It'll take you years to get to the point of alignment with each other where you can push your buttons at that deep level.

You know what I mean?

Yeah,

I would agree to a point.

And the point is?

To a point.

I mean,

If there's physical,

That's right.

But don't leave a teacher to go find a teacher is kind of what I'm saying.

Right.

Yeah.

I hear you.

I hear you.

Yeah,

My caveat is if it's an abusive relationship or it's abusive in a way that it's threatening to yourself in any way.

Right.

But if it's a boss or many different kinds of relationships,

You're right because you're just trading people for the same experience.

And I like what you say because,

Yeah,

It'll take you a while to find that out.

And then it's like,

Oh my god,

I married the same guy.

That's right.

Right.

Didn't show up until,

Right?

And so.

And until you change,

Even if it's abuse,

Even if it's a victim ugly,

Ugly,

Ugly,

And there's plenty of ugly on this planet,

If you're in that dynamic,

There's something inside of you that's attracting that to you every time,

Every time.

It's all within us.

But on this planet,

I have deep compassion for people who are in a horrible situation and it breaks my heart that a woman who's being abused every day can go to a woman's shelter and they'll tell her,

You can stay here.

You don't have to go back.

And in her psyche,

The only thing she knows is to go back.

And she goes back.

And it's like she's doing what she understands.

And it can be a tough thing.

But I guess one of the core points of my book,

Citizen King,

The New Age of Power,

Is the dichotomy or the relationship between your ego and your heart and your soul.

What that book really does is before the cosmic two by four hit me up,

Cracked me open,

I was living in my head.

I was living in my ego and my heart and my soul were taking a backseat.

Let's write a book.

Who am I to write a book?

My ego,

Here comes inspiration,

Write a book.

And my ego would take that and I don't want that.

Get it out of here.

And fast forward 25 years,

My ego wants that inspiration.

Please tell me this weird stuff.

Tell me the tangent.

Tell me the new dynamic of my life.

And I'm going to hold it like a gift.

And so the percentage of my choices in a 24-hour day,

Much of it is done by my heart,

My soul,

And my ego is doing just a little bit.

And I love that.

And so Citizen King,

The New Age of Power,

Power comes not from the ego.

Power comes from the passion of your heart and the vision of your soul,

The purpose of your life.

And so Citizen King teaches your ego how to be much more compatible and useful and productive with the inspiration from your heart and your soul.

How does it do that?

To recognize where the information is coming from.

So for example,

If you want to do really powerful things,

You can just take Post-it notes.

Go buy a bunch of Post-it notes.

Put one on your bed.

Put one at the kitchen,

One in the car.

And your brain will be doing something else.

You're unloading the groceries.

And a single sentence will come in your head.

Let's write a book.

Before you do anything,

Write down the sentence exactly as you heard it.

Don't edit it.

Don't draw conclusions.

Write it down.

Now it's ink on paper.

Now you can,

Once it's written down,

Sure say,

Who am I to write a book?

I don't have grammar.

I don't have the expertise.

Who wants to hear about a small town kid in Utah?

And had I not written it down,

That would have been the end of it.

And it wouldn't have landed in my psyche.

My brain had just collapsed that idea and pushed it out.

Right?

And here comes another idea.

Volunteer at the homeless shelter.

It's like,

What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Shut up.

Write it down.

Volunteer at the homeless shelter.

Now it's on ink on paper.

And it's got some permanence in my life.

The next day,

I look at it and I say,

Oh,

That's right.

And after a few months,

You're going to get a new theme in your life.

Start a radio show.

Take time to dream about what heaven on Earth would look like.

Become a visionary for humanity.

Treat yourself better.

Take a day off.

You know what I mean?

And this is information from your heart and your soul.

So just to write it down,

Your ego never would have given it any space in your consciousness to land and stick.

But just by writing it down,

You see it the next day.

You see it after that.

And you start to get more and more of those.

You're going to start to see a whole new trajectory in your life show up based on the guidance of these little one sentence inspirations.

I love that.

I just love what you shared.

Because when we take the time to listen to those messages that are very personal,

You'll get messages from your for what your next next is,

But will not be mine.

And I'll get what I need.

And if I don't pay attention,

Then there'll be consequences for that.

A cosmic two by four.

Well,

Yeah.

I mean,

After a while,

If you stop paying attention and they just keep coming in.

I love what you're saying.

Pay attention and don't ignore it.

And keep putting away the groceries and what's next on the list today.

Take a moment,

Write it down.

Put it somewhere where you're going to be able to see it.

And then these do accumulate.

And then you start developing a practice to listen more.

And you start following the direction,

Taking the action steps that we're going to get you to that soul's purpose.

Who knows what's going to open up from that?

Books and radio shows and podcasts and all of it.

And bring it.

I want more.

Yes,

Me,

Me,

Me.

I'm talking to my heart,

My soul.

I want to fulfill everything you've got for me.

So it's like my ego pulled the steering wheel off the car and handed it up to my soul.

I'm off the hook.

I don't have to figure my life out.

I love that.

That is the best part for me.

I'm free.

I'm free.

Right.

When I personally live my life from the inner guidance that I'm given,

I'm free.

Just like you said.

Because I don't like the haftos,

The shoulds,

The musts,

The guilt,

All of these things.

They just don't exist because if I live with,

Take a breath.

Go out for a walk.

That's right.

Look instead.

Call so and so.

No,

But I've got this to do.

And I choose to do what I'm guided to do.

Everything gets done in a flow,

In a way.

And I have joy.

Yes.

I just give it up and give it over.

And I can get out of the way and just have a lovely day.

And most of my days consist of that.

And when they don't,

I'm aware of it.

Right.

Oh boy,

I get aware of it very quickly.

So I just have my own techniques of breathing or a million things that will get me back to that state of peace.

And most of it's gratitude.

Once you taste the joy of fulfilling your heart and your soul.

That's what Citizen King talks about.

Once you've tasted that joy and the freedom,

You've tasted the fruit.

There's no going back.

No going back.

There's no going back.

You want more and more of it.

And when you practice the art of freedom,

You become the embodiment of what it means to be free,

Which is a divine attribute of all humanity,

All of humanity.

We're here to have sovereignty,

To have dominion over our life purpose.

And once you taste that,

There's no going back.

You don't want to go back.

It's not like you have all the answers,

But you just learn to trust yourself.

That's the key,

I think,

Is the trust,

The trust in ourselves and to trust in the universe to know that you're going to be given the keys to the kingdom one step at a time.

Just take this step and see where it leads you.

Who is that going to put you in front of?

What situation is that going to?

When you look back,

When I look back at all the,

I can connect the dots.

If this had happened,

I wouldn't have met this person.

It wouldn't have led me to that particular choice that just brought this fabulous event that I would never have seen coming.

We have to step out of sometimes just when you trust and take that leap of faith because it may be out of your comfort zone,

But just say,

Hey.

It's like when you first said,

When you were in that psychiatrist's office,

The thing that I heard about what helped you to release that anger when you were saying,

Well,

That's lame.

I don't have any.

He said,

You're safe.

Yes.

He said,

You're safe.

And there was something within you that knew that you were,

That he wasn't going to somehow just turn on you,

That you were in an environment where you did feel safe,

Which allowed that to show up and that huge expression of relief for you.

I think my soul was looking for an opportunity for me to connect with that because my body was shutting down from that anger.

I was having digestive tract problems.

I was starting to get ulcers.

And that vanished like overnight.

Once I started dumping all this anger,

All that went away.

And I think our soul tries to corral our ego into an opportunity to connect with the subconscious aspects that are really tanking our life.

It's like the Titanic.

All the deck chairs are sliding.

And your soul's like,

Come on,

Come on.

And if your ego,

If you stay an ego,

You're asking for a big lesson.

A big cosmic two by four,

A train wreck of some sort.

Because if you won't listen,

You stay in the accumulative mode.

And you actually start tanking your life.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

And that's when things will just come out sideways.

It'll get you whether it's through some kind of dis-ease in your body,

Migraines,

Headaches,

Ulcers,

Cancer,

Whatever.

And because the more we stuff it down,

It has to go somewhere.

Right.

Right.

It doesn't go away.

It goes in your subconscious.

And it goes in your subconscious.

It expands how much energy.

What an emotion is is your thoughts and your beliefs bumping into reality.

So your emotions will actually change over time.

You can evolve out of all the difficult emotions.

In fact,

You intended to.

But the emotion is an impersonal messenger showing you in the moment how you're seeing yourself in the moment as it relates to your experience.

And so when your thoughts and beliefs come into contact with reality,

Your emotions will show you any incongruency.

Now,

That's that energy of the emotion is your own consciousness.

Where does that energy come from?

That's my own consciousness warning me.

Now,

If I don't give myself permission to feel that,

All it wants,

All the messenger wants is to be felt and understood.

And in that moment,

I release it.

And I don't accumulate any karma.

But if an emotion comes up and I have a reactive pattern of saying,

I don't like that feeling,

Go away,

It doesn't go away.

It goes in my subconscious.

And over decades,

My subconscious builds.

And that's the root of all dis-ease.

That's the root of pain and suffering.

That's karma.

And it's so interesting,

Too,

Because there is so much that gets accumulated.

And even for people who are very conscious and work on themselves,

And they think,

And they do feel it,

And they do release it.

And you mentioned before,

Oh my god,

Where did this grief come from?

And when you're feeling fairly reasonably good.

And it's like,

So a lot of people who are in it,

They release so much,

And oh,

Finally.

And they're not particularly triggered by anything that would have been done in the past.

And so they know,

Wow,

This is,

I've healed this.

And then six years later or something,

It just wells up again.

It's another layer of the onion.

We're safe enough now to express another part of that.

But what my experience is,

And the people that I've been working with for many years,

Is that it won't take as long to just pass through you.

It's another aspect,

But it can go just right through now that you're feeling it again.

It's not going to take weeks,

Months,

Years to uncover and process.

It's like,

Whew.

Right.

Well,

When I founded the New Human Living Platform,

It's not a religious platform.

I think it fulfills the purpose or the model of a religion.

But I chose New Human Living because,

Again,

These are symbols with no emotional attachment to them.

And purity,

The tagline is pure authentic you.

If I bring any adjective to it,

Then I'm projecting a stigma,

Regardless if it's a good or bad.

Pure authentic you teaches you that this vehicle needs to be able to show anger,

Needs to be able to show fear,

Needs to be able to.

So we don't label anything.

And that helps you heal your relationship.

Because you can be just as,

So anger screwed me up.

I could have been screwed up because,

Well,

I'd never allowed myself to be angry.

So I was addicted to happiness.

Well,

Happiness is a good thing.

Well,

Not if it allows you,

It doesn't allow you to show anger.

If I'm addicted to happiness,

I always have to smile.

I'm not going to heal.

So now happiness has a negative connotation.

So pure authentic you,

New Human Living,

Is really,

I'm very,

Very,

Very careful with my languaging,

With my material,

To say,

None of it's personal.

Bring it all.

Heal it all.

And stand up and live your purpose with joy and happiness and freedom and sorrow and anger and whatever else.

Yeah,

It reminds me of Rumi's poem,

The Guest House,

Where everything is just bring it in,

Bring it in.

You know,

The sorrow,

The anger,

The pain,

Because each one is coming in as a gift to bring.

I don't know.

Very nice.

Yeah.

Read the poem because I'm,

Yeah,

And I wish I knew it by heart so that I'm not just paraphrasing because it is,

It's a brilliant poem.

But it's exactly what you're saying.

It is welcome it all because each comes as a guest in your house to teach us something.

And so this has been absolutely delightful.

I just love how you have turned your life around to the place where you are today and are teaching people how they themselves can go from whatever beginnings they've had,

Whatever their life experience has been,

To find their own peace and love and presence in the world where they too have their freedom and find their own heaven on Earth and be that light.

And so thank you for being that.

How can people find you?

The main platform is newhumanliving.

Com.

And through that portal,

You can,

My books are available right there on the shopping cart,

One click away.

And my podcast is under the radio tab at newhumanliving.

Com.

And if you want to learn more about my background,

Lessjensen.

Com is more focused on me and my journey and how my material,

My kool-aid,

If you will,

Came to be and the basis behind my philosophy and thinking.

Oh,

Wow.

That's beautiful.

And we'll have all of that written down to.

So people,

If you haven't,

If you've missed that part,

It'll be in the podcast notes.

So is there any last words that you would like to share from the wisdom that you have gleaned over your life and where you are right now?

Sure.

Enjoy this day.

Do you want to end up living a life you have enjoyed?

Practice today.

Find aspects about your life today that you enjoy.

When you find opportunities to enjoy your life,

It could be the taste of your coffee in the morning or the wag of a puppy dog's tail.

When you consciously recognize when you're feeling joy as you go throughout your day,

Don't put off enjoying your life till the end of the journey.

I'll be happy when.

That's right.

You can enjoy,

Even in the sorrow,

Even in the grief,

You can say,

I came here for really big lessons.

I must be some kick-ass student.

Man,

I've got some tough stuff on my plate.

Wow.

Wow.

Man.

So learn how to enjoy today,

And you'll be in fine form to enjoy tomorrow and thus the rest of your life.

Amen to that.

Isn't that the truth?

So thank you so much,

Les.

This has been absolutely wonderful speaking with you and learning more about you.

And thank you for sharing your joy today,

Which we'll bring in tomorrow and the next day and the next day.

And we never know where these ripples will go.

And that's the beauty of shining your light.

That's all.

You just have to be present.

And who knows?

Smile at someone and,

My gosh,

Where is that going to go?

Thank you for having me on the show.

I've had such a great time.

Thank you.

OK.

Bye for now.
