A guided practice with live guitar music in the background. A practice of awareness. Meeting oneself right where we are. Observing. Accepting. Allowing. Opening to the present moment. Relaxing the body. Creating space in the mind through letting be. Expanding. Subtle snoring sounds in the background from Bo (dog) & Petey (also a dog). They were in the space sleeping while we recorded the meditation. Providing their soothing vibrations. Michael Waters is playing the guitar while I harmonize with words.

You Number 2 It's nice because that Child is in love with us.

It's like a subsections,

A pel drunkenness,

But when she comes,

She is able to see Let's start by starting just arriving.

Taking any little minor adjustments just to be here in this present moment.

How can you make yourself more comfortable?

Adjust your body so that you can be receptive.

Taking yourself this moment just to be here.

Even if just for a moment.

Regardless of what happened before.

Just taking a deep breath in to be open.

Letting the mind be just as it is.

Trying to control.

Trying to perfect.

Wanting everything to be a certain way.

Just see if you can re-access.

And make how you feel a priority.

Inviting softness.

Ease.

Simply noticing.

Notice your body.

Notice where you are.

Gently closing the eyes.

See if you can notice from inside.

Your senses alive.

Begin to breathe in and out through your nose.

Giving yourself permission,

The space to connect to your natural breath.

To the natural flow of life in this moment.

Without resistance,

Without closing.

Just including everything in the practice.

Finding everything a part of this moment.

The mind likes to describe,

Analyze.

Push away.

Create distance between things.

Calling right or wrong.

When it really is just all an experience.

Leela,

A play.

A play of movement.

Even in stillness,

A play of thoughts maybe.

Sounds.

Space.

Temperature.

Breath.

Take a deep breath in.

And a deep breath out.

Just arriving here right now.

Begin to give yourself permission to soften.

Giving your body permission to arrive here.

Notice your hands.

Feel your fingers soften.

Your whole body here with you.

This one moment.

Your body and your breath combining.

Breathing dancing.

Not how your breath isn't separate from your body.

But how it coexists.

And it comes from it.

No matter where the mind is going,

What the mind is saying.

Notice if the mind is resisting anything right now.

And then see if you can pay attention to how that resistance manifests in your body.

Does it create more tension?

And the form of grasping is a way to try and control things subconsciously.

So the breathing,

The sounds,

They're all a practice.

The background noises.

They are not things that stop your practice.

They're not a reason why you can't be here relaxing.

Just how the noises of life,

The discomfort,

The madness.

They too,

They are your practice.

Just bringing in a sense of allowing.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

And breathing out slowly.

Letting the resistance go.

Invoking a sense of saying yes.

Saying yes to life.

To the little things that are sometimes annoying.

Just expanding the circle of allowing.

Getting your capacity to be okay regardless of the circumstances.

Take a deep slow breath in.

As you breathe out,

See where you can relax a bit.

Letting the eyelids soften and be heavy.

Just the space behind your eyes.

Just letting go of grasping.

How does it look to give yourself permission to be here now?

To let your body be matter.

Take up space.

To allow yourself to be heavy.

Letting gravity do its job.

Just breathing in and out through your nose.

The mind likes to fill up the space when there is silence.

That's how it feels alive,

How it has a purpose.

So whenever there is a pause it freaks out.

It goes back to habitual ways of thinking.

Trying to figure something out.

It goes to thinking for safety.

See if you can find comfort within this space.

I'm not asking you to get rid of your mind to remove it.

See if you can let it be without having to dive into every thought it thinks.

Take this moment just to listen to your breath.

To your inner experience.

To your body.

To listen to your senses.

And to be in a place of allowing.

Finding the spaces.

Allowing gravity to help you with relaxing.

To just be here.

Your body is usually consumed with the habit of doing.

Getting from place to place constantly.

To take time,

Your body is to get to a point of relaxing.

You must be first patient with ourselves and the process.

Observe what is happening.

How your fingers,

Your little cells,

Your legs,

Every single little part of your body.

How is it connecting,

Relating to stillness?

Is it still jumpy?

Ready to move,

Ready to do?

Or maybe it's starting to settle.

The highest permission comes from inside you.

When you give yourself permission by quietly whispering to yourself,

I'm just gonna be here.

I'm just gonna be.

I'm just gonna breathe.

And that is enough.

Creating space for your intuition by letting go of control.

When we create this inner space,

We allow our true self to be heard.

We allow our own body,

Our own mind,

Our own discomfort to have a place to be.

To simply exist.

That itself is love.

Just by sitting here,

Being here,

Laying here,

And not going anywhere,

Simply being with yourself,

You're saying yes.

Yes to things as they are.

Yes to life.

Yes to yourself just as you are.

Yes to your body.

Yes to your mind.

Yes to your emotions.

And yes to your inner guide.

The one that gets to just watch.

Letting life happen.

Letting thoughts arise.

You're coming back to this place where your breathing is alive.

Take a deep slow breath in.

Feel the lungs filling up.

And a deep slow breath out,

Feeling how you're alive.

Your whole body,

Your mind.

So much life.

Take another deep slow breath and filling up inside.

Really fill up until your lungs are full of life.

At the top of the breath,

Hold the breath.

Taking a little more air.

Feel yourself like a balloon,

Ready to pop the hole to the end this time.

When you feel like you have to breathe out,

Take a little more air in,

Gathering all the tension,

The tightness in your body in one breath.

Then exhale when you're ready,

Letting all that tension out through your mouth.

Emptying yourself of the resistance to surrender,

To being just where you are.

One more time,

Take a deep slow breath and really gathering up,

Filling yourself up.

Then emptying yourself out.

Deep inhale.

Release out through your mouth.

Feel the space in your mind.

You can stay here in this space as long as you would like.

This place of just being,

Just breathing,

Just sitting with life.

Whenever you're ready,

You can find gentle movement in your fingers,

Your toes.

And open your eyes.

Coming back to life from this place.

Arriving inside this,

Inside each moment.

Invoking a sense of allowing,

Of grace.

Shifting our relationship to things in my cosmic systems.

Be seeing yes.

Breathing in and out.
