Turning the light of consciousness upon itself increases its own light. A breathing meditation turns into an inquiry. This technique was inspired by the Secret of the Golden, an ancient text that goes along with the I-Ching and Tao De Ching.

Thank you.

Coming into your comfortable seated position.

Stick to move any flesh out from underneath your sits bones.

Plug your body into the earth.

Stack your shoulders over your hips.

You may like to look around at your surroundings,

Just communicating to your nervous system that you're safe.

That you know what is around you.

And as you're doing that,

You might like to do a couple neck rolls,

Encouraging some openness and space across the neck,

Working out any kinks.

You may like to roll out the shoulders a couple times,

Maybe undulate and move through the spine in a seated cat cow or any free and form movement just to get any little wiggles and adjustments.

When you feel ready to drop into stillness.

Closing the eyes.

Just simply arrive here.

And presenting your attention in the present moment.

Begin by simply watching the breath.

Resting in the seat of the witness just watching the breath,

Filling and filling up drinking in this great mystery of life and emptying out on the exhale empty out all the way.

Surrendering to the source of life.

And allowing awareness to even follow in the space between breaths.

Ju Planting yourself here in the moment,

Allowing moment to moment to unfold.

Planting yourself here in the moment,

Allowing moment to unfold.

Planting yourself here in the moment,

Allowing moment to unfold.

Thoughts may swirl around in your awareness.

Emotions may bubble up,

Allowing awareness to be open to what is here.

You may witness these thoughts without getting entangled and caught up in any whirlpools.

You may feel the emotions as they come,

As they rise.

All the while keeping your attention on this turning of breath.

And if your mind ever gets caught up in anything else,

You can always just come back to the breath.

Becoming really conscious of life as it is.

Beginning again at any point with the breath.

And if you feel the energy as it is,

You can always just come back to the breath.

And if you feel the energy as it is,

You can always just come back to the breath.

Simply observing the dance of life within you.

Thoughts,

Emotions,

Sensations,

All just energy.

Witnessing these energies.

Dancing and moving.

Everything is always changing.

You may feel the energy as it is.

You may feel the energy as it is.

You may feel the energy as it is.

You may feel the energy as it is.

You may feel the energy as it is.

You may feel the energy as it is.

Witnessing the dynamic moment unfolding.

Like any part of you has gotten entrenched in any thoughts or emotions,

Just guide yourself gently back to landing in the breath.

Filling up,

Drinking in the mystery of life.

With the top of the breath filled with this great mystery.

Exhaling,

Emptying out all the way in the space between exhale and inhale.

Find that emptiness in that space that is the source of breath.

And then we'll turn the light of consciousness upon itself to increase its own light.

Watching the breath for a few moments.

What is watching the breath?

Who is watching the breath?

Can this witness be found or located?

Can they be touched or seen?

Who is answering these questions?

Where are the answers coming from?

Can they be found or located?

Can they be found or located?

Can they be found or located?

Turning to the suspended space of the mystery.

Where is the source of you?

Who are you?

Who are you really?

Or any one of those things,

Truly all that you are.

Who is answering these questions?

It is not the source.

It is another projection.

It is an idea.

It is a construct.

Where are ideas created?

Feeling that breath is just happening.

Feel the buzz of life within your body.

The dance of trillions of cells.

This meditation was great! Even though it takes about 30 seconds to really begin, by the end I had more heart-mind cohesion than I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been learning about this through Joe Dispensa’s work and it’s really great to feel such depth of this. Thank you!!
