Hi,
I'm Kasia.
I will be your guide today.
And this practice explores trust.
How do we work with doubt?
How do we quieten this voice that tells us we are not enough,
That we might fail,
That something will definitely go wrong?
The voice that doubts our ability to show up and face whatever it is that life presents us with.
How do we find more stillness in moments of discomfort,
More grounding when we're being pushed outside of our comfort zone?
How do we trust that we are going to be okay?
Welcome to the practice.
Together,
We can get there.
Okay,
Find a comfortable position,
Maybe sitting down or lying down.
Whatever feels comfortable to you.
See if you can soften your body,
Soften your eyes,
Close them if they're not closed yet.
Let your eyelids rest and simply notice your breath.
Don't try to change it or improve it in any way.
Just observe the quality of your breath.
Trust that it's exactly as it needs to be right now.
Let go of the idea that your breath is too short or too fast.
Maybe it's too deep or too shallow.
Try feeling it instead.
Your chest expanding,
Maybe your belly rising and falling,
Or the cooler air entering your nostrils and warmer air coming out.
Trusting that life is exactly as it should be can be so hard.
Trusting that every setback is a lesson,
Not a failure.
That every mistake is an opportunity to do it again,
Just better.
That every loss,
However painful,
Creates space for something new.
Trusting that the path we're walking is our own,
Not to be judged or compared with anyone else's.
It takes courage.
It takes practice.
So see if you can soften your shoulders,
Soften your neck,
Soften your face.
Let your jaw relax and drop.
Soften your lips and your tongue and let your whole body become heavy.
Imagine you're sinking into your seat or sinking into the floor.
Let the ground support you,
Softening your chest,
Your heart center and your ribcage.
Imagine that you can create extra space on the inside.
Allow your belly to fully relax.
Relax your legs,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your shins,
Your ankles and soften your feet all the way to the tips of your toes.
Now take a moment to imagine what your life would feel like if you didn't judge yourself.
If you could love and accept yourself exactly as you are with all your strengths and all the imperfections.
What would it feel like if you could trust yourself to make the right choice because it feels right in the moment and forgive yourself if you feel you have made a mistake.
What would your life feel like if you could have your own back?
Tell yourself what you need to hear in moments of sadness and doubt.
Hold yourself in moments of panic and fear.
What if you could say to yourself,
I'm here for you.
You'll be fine.
I believe in you.
You will do your best and that's enough because that's the best you can do right now.
How would that feel?
You can repeat after me or simply listen to my guidance.
I support myself.
I have my own back always.
I don't betray myself through doubt and self-judgment.
I trust in my ability to make the right choices.
I trust I know what's best for me.
I believe I'm worthy.
I believe I'm enough.
I trust the process which is life and I trust everything happens for the best.
Take a moment to notice how you feel.
There's no right or wrong way to feel.
Just notice sensations in your body.
Maybe there are emotions,
Feelings coming up for you.
Whatever's there is welcome.
Whatever's there is perfect exactly as it is.
Now come back to the place in your body where you can sense your breath.
The sensation of your body breathing.
Stay with it for a moment.
Allowing your breath to move freely.
Not adjusting,
Not improving.
Instead,
Allowing it to be exactly as it is.
Soften your chest,
Your heart center and your shoulders.
Soften your belly,
Soften your pelvis.
Let go of the stress.
Let go of the worry.
Just breathe.
Breathe in trust.
Breathe out fear.
Breathe in courage.
Breathe out doubt.
Breathe in patience and breathe out expectation.
Breathe in softness.
Breathe out tension.
Breathe in acceptance.
Breathe out control.
Breathe in love.
Breathe out judgment.
Breathe in trust.
Breathe out fear.
Breathe in courage.
Breathe out doubt.
Breathe in patience.
Breathe out expectations.
Breathe in softness and breathe out tension.
Breathe in acceptance and breathe out control.
Breathe in love.
Breathe out judgment.
Notice your breathing.
Notice how you're feeling.
How much can you trust yourself?
How much do you trust yourself?
You are exactly where you need to be.
Nobody is walking the same path.
Your path is yours and yours alone.
You are free to walk it.
Sending loads of positive,
Calming,
Trusting energy your way wherever you are.
