Welcome to this special time that you've taken for yourself to go within.
This meditation will be activating your energy center in your throat,
So benefiting any throat conditions,
Helping to regulate thyroid function,
Helping our expression and clarity,
Our concentration.
It'll be activating the parasympathetic nervous system which will enhance our sleep and our digestion and the function of all the organs from your eyes,
Your heart,
Your lungs,
Your digestive tract and your reproductive tract.
So just making sure you're nice and comfortable in a seated position,
Closing your eyes as you connect with your own breath,
Just allowing it to be exactly as it is whilst you listen to a simple guidance from me.
So the breath that we will be doing is called the Ujjayi breath and in Sanskrit Ujjayi means,
Uj means high and jai means conquer.
So this breath is about conquering ourselves,
Elevating ourselves upwards.
It's also called ocean breath,
Snake breath or victorious breath.
And the simple technique is it's in and out through the nose with a slight neck lock,
Jalanda harabanda.
Just imagining your chin going slightly back and you get a bit of tension in your throat and that is perfect.
And so just allowing your shoulders and your spine to be straight and relaxed,
Letting tension go in your shoulders,
Letting your eyes close again if they're not already,
Closing your mouth and taking an inhalation through the nose,
Tightening that throat slightly and as you exhale,
Imagine the sound of the ocean in the back of your throat.
The waves are pounding on the shore and you're getting that beautiful ocean breath sound,
Making sure the inhalation and exhalation are equal in length.
And just allowing yourself to get into a rhythm,
Trusting your breath,
Trusting your lungs,
Trusting your spine,
Trusting your body to hold you here in this time of relaxation and allowing yourself to step into a beautiful place as you keep breathing with the sound of the ocean on the exhalation,
Allowing yourself to come into a beautiful place of sunya.
Now with your closed eyes,
The world has gone.
The flow of vitality is moving within you and in this place,
All that matters is the breath,
Your heartbeat,
The processes in your body and this sweet flow of vitality within you.
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling with the ocean sound,
The tightened neck.
Inhaling through the nose,
Exhaling through a tightened neck with the ocean sound,
Allowing your mind to come to sunya,
The place where there is nothing,
No things,
Allowing yourself to come into this void,
Allowing the absence of doing to move throughout yourselves and your body and your energy body,
Allowing the exhalation to drop any tension in your body,
Allowing anything that needs to fall away,
Fall away on the exhalation,
Welcoming in that place of resetting on the inhalation.
Resetting your mind,
Resetting your heart,
Resetting your mindset,
Resetting everything that you wish to reset.
As we come into this beautiful place of existence where 99% is emptiness,
It's energy,
It's frequency,
It's the void,
It's the absence of thinking,
It's the state of allowing,
Surrendering to the universe's flow,
Allowing yourself to go beyond the physical dimension,
Allowing yourself to be the part of the 99% of all creation,
Joining oneness within yourself as you've gone within.
The world around you has disappeared and all that matters is your breath,
Your heartbeat,
The processes in your body,
The flow of vitality within you,
Allowing your breath to flow in rhythm in and out through the nose,
Your mouth is closed,
This time and space is for you and all that matters is happening inside of you right now.
Just staying connected with the breath for as long as you like,
Connecting within,
Allowing the flow of vitality to flow through you as you balance your thyroid,
As you activate your concentration,
As you bring energy into the throat chakra,
Allowing yourself to be clear and heard and fully expressed in this beautiful state of Shunya and oneness with nothing to prove,
Nothing to gain,
Simply breathing and connecting within and allowing yourself to do three more cycles of breath and continuing if you wish,
Otherwise just bringing your awareness back to the outside world,
Allowing yourself to connect with the sensation underneath the base of your spine where you're seated,
Connecting with any sounds you can hear outside,
Connecting with your skin,
You may want to just slowly move your hands across your knees,
Connecting with touch,
You may want to roll your shoulders slowly backwards,
Rolling your head around,
Wiggling your fingers and toes and allowing yourself when you're ready to open your eyes and bringing your hearts over your heart center,
Thanking yourself for taking this time to check in with yourself,
To tune into the vitality within yourself and to connect to all oneness around you.
Thank you and I'll see you next time.
