Welcome to flowing with thoughts,

Letting go of meaning.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.

And now close your eyes.

Simply be aware of whatever is being experienced right now in this moment.

What are you hearing?

What do you feel?

How does your body feel?

Simply noticing what you're experiencing.

Not trying to do anything about it.

Not trying to change anything.

Are you aware of thoughts coming and going?

Did you notice that thoughts come effortlessly,

Spontaneously?

And this meditation will allow thoughts to go the way they come,

Effortlessly.

Simply being aware of whatever you are experiencing just naturally.

Not resisting anything.

Not trying to change anything.

Easy,

Open awareness.

In this meditation,

Thoughts will be present,

Along with whatever else you're experiencing.

That's fine.

Whenever the mind has become absorbed in a train of thought,

Just let it go.

The mind will continue to be busy,

Judging something,

Making observations.

Just let it happen,

But let go of the meaning of these thoughts.

Let thoughts be a meaningless activity in the mind.

Easy,

Open awareness of whatever is happening right now.

If the mind becomes absorbed in thought,

Doesn't matter,

It's not a mistake.

Simply come back to what you're experiencing in the present.

Not minding what the mind is thinking.

Letting go of meaning.

Simply being present to whatever is happening.

Perhaps you'll notice the mind judging what's going on.

Letting that go.

Not paying attention to what the mind says.

Letting go.

Easily aware of whatever is being experienced right now.

Letting go.

Now it's time to end the meditation.

Take a minute or two to come out slowly.

Stretch,

Move around a bit,

Gradually become more active.

And when you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

This was just what I needed today. To let go in a very calm way. Your voice is so relaxing and soothing. I really felt like you were giving my mind and my body permission to safely let go. Thank you, so much, for this. It was truly a blessing today after a very rough night. I will definitely be using this again.

I love how mary leads her meditations by giving lots of space for us, while piping in from time to time to remind us to let the thoughts go. Her voice is the most calming. Really good introductory meditation. I love Mary Maddux. When she says it doesnโ€™t matter, I believe her

Extremely helpful in giving myself a break from my thoughts. It allowed me to finally feel the underlying feelings. I felt relieved afterwards.

I need these even after 8 years of meditating. The thoughts are still as intrusive as they were in the beginning.
