Welcome to this mantra singing meditation.

Take a moment to settle your body and your breath.

Maybe take a deep inhale through the nose and exhale as you fully arrive.

You can close your eyes gently or cast your gaze softly downward.

Today we begin a journey into mantra singing meditation.

The word mantra simply means a tool for the mind,

A sacred message.

We use these sounds not as intellectual phrases but as a vibrational current designed to quiet the minds endless chatter.

But the mantra is far more than a tool,

It's a source of vibrational healing.

When we sing the sound waves travel throughout the body stimulating the vagus nerve which helps shift your nervous system from a state of stress to one of calm and rest.

This vocal repetition naturally lowers your heart rate,

Deepens your respiration and releases emotional tension stored in the body initiating a powerful and effortless process of self-healing and integration.

More importantly the continuous and focused repetition creates a powerful mental anchor that interrupts the endless cycle of habitual thinking.

This interruption allows for a state of deeper mental clarity and stillness to emerge.

Spiritually by connecting your voice to the ancient and sacred sounds you are connecting to a deeper current of universal energy creating a feeling of profound wholeness and inner peace that transcends the daily concerns of the ego.

So when you sing you harmonize the breath,

The voice and the rhythm of your heart.

The continuous repetition creates a sonic cocoon that helps to solve tension and release unconscious thought patterns.

And as we sing I invite you to simply observe three things.

First your breath.

So notice how the singing makes you breathing naturally deep and steady.

Second the sound.

So pay attention to the physical vibration of the sound inside your own chest and head.

And thirdly your mind.

Whenever thoughts arise gently observe them and then return your attention to the sound of the mantra using it as your anchor to presence.

So today we'll be working with two beautiful and powerful mantras.

First we begin with Om Namah Shivaya.

This mantra is an acknowledgement of our own true inner self.

It calls upon the energy of Shiva,

The principle of transformation and inner stability.

Chanting this mantra helps to dissolve emotional blocks and instill a deep sense of unshakable peace and self-acceptance within you.

It honors the power within us to change,

To dissolve ego and become whole.

The second mantra will be Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu.

It means may all beings everywhere be happy and free.

So this mantra shifts our focus from the self to the universe expanding our hearts with universal compassion and peace.

It is a powerful blessing that we send out to the world.

This mantra expands the heart and creates a feeling of unity and connection with all living things.

So let's begin with Om Namah Shivaya.

You can listen for the sounds just for a little bit and whenever you feel ready jump in and feel the vibrations.

Om Namah Shivaya.

Take a few moments to simply feel,

To let your body speak to you.

Now as the sound fades,

Bring your attention fully into the silence.

Feel the freedom you cultivated,

The force of transformation,

And feel how it has swept away the unnecessary noise,

Leaving behind a clear and quiet space within you.

And let the beautiful intention of peace and freedom,

Which we send to all beings,

Wash back over you.

And then notice the stillness beneath the movement of your thoughts,

And for a moment,

Simply rest in this quiet,

With nothing left to do.

And then gently bring your awareness back to your physical body.

Notice where you're sitting or lying,

Feeling the gentle support beneath you.

And then wiggle your fingers and toes,

Take a deep slow breath in,

And let it out with a soft sigh.

And when you're ready,

Slowly and without hurry,

With your next exhale,

Begin to blink your eyes open,

Bringing the stillness you found out into the world with you.

Thank you for sharing this meditation and singing with me,

Chanting with me.

And may the peace you cultivated today remain with you.

I'm looking forward to welcoming you back to this practice soon.
