Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath,
And as you exhale allow gravity to pull you down.
Just begin this meditation with some deep intentional breaths.
So often we go through our day never thinking about our breath,
Never becoming conscious of our breath.
So just take a few moments and be mindful of the air coming in and flowing out of your body.
And moving forward as you take these deep intentional breaths,
As you reach the top of your inhale,
Squeeze and tense your body up as if you are catching any negative emotion,
Any disempowering thought.
And as you exhale just allow those things to be released from you.
Do this for a few deep breaths,
Allowing the tensing of your body and the exhale and release to cleanse your soul.
And next we're going to scan our senses to anchor ourselves here in this moment.
Your senses are built to keep you in this moment because you can't smell anything from your past or hear anything from your future or touch anything in your past.
So if we just take a moment to scan what our five senses are sensing,
We will move deeper into this moment.
So to start,
Take a moment and become aware of what you can hear.
Obviously you can hear my voice,
But stretch your awareness.
Try to reach the edge of what your ears can take in.
And next let's move on to your sense of sight.
And obviously your eyes are closed,
But just acknowledge the light that you sense beyond your eyelids,
Possibly the spots that you see within your eyelids.
Move your eyes back and forth to acknowledge that they are still there and working.
Let's follow that with your sense of smell.
As you take a deep inhale,
Try to pick up any sense that you often overlook.
Next,
Let's acknowledge your sense of taste.
What are your taste buds telling you?
What's lingering on your tongue?
And last but not least,
Let's take a moment and acknowledge your sense of touch.
Scan your body,
Become conscious of the way that your body is contacting your clothes,
The chair that you sit in or the bed that you lay on,
How your feet are touching the floor or your hands are touching your lap.
Just feel every square inch of skin that is touching something else.
And for the next few breaths,
Try to acknowledge and incorporate as many of those senses at once as you can.
Intertwine what you can smell and what you hear.
Acknowledge simultaneously what you can touch and what you can taste.
And now just return to the deep intentional breaths that we began with.
And as you do so,
Just silently remind yourself,
I am here and all is well.
And again,
I am here and all is well.
So often our mind and our thoughts try to go find problems.
They race and they race to look for something to solve or something to be frustrated by.
But the space that you're sitting in,
This divine present moment is always available.
And in this moment,
This moment that is always here for you.
All is well.
All is well as it should be.
There is no conflict here.
There is nothing to do here but to simply breathe in this moment.
There will be moments where you must do things.
There will be moments where you have to do some work and call a client and reach out to your parents and put together your business plan or take care of the kids.
But even within those moments,
This peaceful space within you resides.
We can always take some deep breaths and return to this divine space.
This space where you know that all is well.
This space that despite the feedback that your mind and your thoughts are trying to tell you or inform you about the world around you,
You know and understand that all is well.
Your peace is found in your breath.
It's never outside of you.
It's never out of your reach.
You are always just a few deep breaths away from the truth.
And that truth is that all is well.
Breathe that in for a few deep breaths,
Allowing a smile to unfold on your face as if you've known this all along.
And that I'm simply reminding you of the truth that resides within,
The truth that can be found in your breath.
All is well.
Carry this truth with you everywhere you go.
All is well.
