The thoughts we think can have a major impact on how we perceive our own lives. Especially if we attach value to them. This meditation is all about reducing the value we attach to our thoughts. Allowing our thoughts to come up and naturally disappear without resistance. Thoughts come and go all the time. The thoughts that you resist stick around the longest. Trying to get rid of your thoughts is a form of resistance. During this meditation relax, enjoy and look into yourself!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to this meditation.

Find a comfortable and relaxing environment for yourself,

Somewhere where you feel most safe.

And gently closing your eyes if you already haven't.

There is nothing you can do wrong in this meditation.

Meditation is a learning experience for us all.

Being right or wrong does not come into it.

We are learning about ourselves,

Which is the most important subject in the world,

If you could call it a subject.

Now let's just calm down,

Down,

Down.

We are not in work.

We are not in college.

We are not with family or loved ones.

We are just here,

Right now,

With ourselves.

Slowly become aware of your thoughts,

Looking at them from a distance.

Thoughts pass through your mind and you are just watching them,

The same way you have watched the clouds in the sky before,

The same way you have watched a movie.

And this movie could be a comedy,

It could be a drama,

It could be a horror,

Or it could be an action.

And so can your thoughts,

The same way you know the movie is just a movie.

Thoughts are just thoughts.

Just allowing yourself to notice them dancing in and out of your mind.

They are performing a show for you.

Just watching.

Not labelling our thoughts or analysing them.

Even if you get pulled off with the thoughts,

Notice this.

Watch the thoughts.

Allow them to come up.

We have spent so much time resisting our thoughts.

Labelling them as positive or negative.

Separating them and putting them into boxes.

Just watch them as a whole.

At this moment they are no different to a movie.

There is no distraction because there is nothing you are concentrating on.

You are just watching all that comes up.

Even if nothing comes up at all.

Watch that space.

If you get pulled off into the stream of thoughts,

Watch that.

Watching the stream of thoughts.

It does not matter what thoughts you are having.

A thought is not an action.

Just remembering whatever you resist persists.

Just relax,

Allow and watch my friend.

Nothing to resist,

Just be here.

Letting your mind,

Nothing you can do wrong.

If your thoughts are busy or not busy,

It does not matter.

This is not a competition with anyone and it's certainly not a competition with yourself.

Allow them to be there,

Busy or not.

The mind will think,

It's what it does.

Grab your popcorn and enjoy the cinematic experience of the mind.

Now just bringing our attention back to our bodies.

And taking a big deep breath in through the nose.

And exhaling out through the mouth.

Knowing that even if you feel uncomfortable during meditation,

This is something that can happen.

And it's nothing to worry about.

It is all a part of growth,

Both spiritual and personal.

There is nothing wrong with uncomfort.

Now just waking ourselves back up.

And coming out of this meditation.

Learning about yourself and the subtleties of your system is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

And you have gifted yourself this gift by listening to this meditation today.

So I wanted to congratulate you or more importantly,

Maybe you should congratulate yourself.

Then moving our bodies around.

And when you're ready,

Opening our eyes.
