The Buddha is quoted as saying: “In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.” In this guided meditation, we take a pause to consider these three precepts and practice savouring the moment —no matter what else is swirling around us in our lives. You Just Take a moment and Center in to your heart space Inviting an opening where everything we hear Everything we participate in and experience Can be filtered through our heart space In this space Where I am connected deeply With the center of my being And you are connected deeply With the center of your being We breathe We breathe a deliberate deep breath Relaxing into each exhale And with each breath Relaxing even more This life is a gift Freely given And by choice We can freely receive We can allow each moment to matter Because we matter Our journey matters In this space of stillness We allow ourselves to become rooted Into the solid ground of faith So we do not allow ourselves to be easily swayed Or discouraged by outer appearances By seeming chaos and strife Even if our plans have changed Even if nothing is unfolding the way we thought it would Even if we're not making forward motion That signals progress We know that life continues to marshal us towards our greatest manifestation of good Taking this rest stop supports us in becoming a vibrational match for that good As we breathe and rest And cultivate patience We practice bearing witness without judgment to each singular moment Every nuance Every breath Allow yourself to be where you are now With no concern for where you're going Just be here Acknowledge the moment while we're here Notice how every breath makes you feel As you breathe in and breathe out PATIENT We celebrate life.

We celebrate how much we're loved.

We celebrate how gently we've lived.

And we are grateful for how gracefully we get to let go of things that are no longer meant for us.

We get to let go of things that are no longer meant for us.

And to do so freely and fearlessly,

We breathe into this moment.

Every breath matters,

Just as we cultivate a life that matters.

And now we become aware once more of our physical environment.

Which we can sense even with our eyes closed.

We are aware once more of the sounds around us.

The temperature of the air touching our skin.

The sensations we're experiencing.

And the flow of the breath.

Do we feel ourselves connected,

Heart to heart,

With those who are in this moment,

Pausing in the stillness with us.

Even though we may be in disparate environments,

We are connected.

We are one.

Gently bring your attention up behind the back of your eyes.

Take a deep breath here.

Slowly exhale all the air.

And relax more deeply into the exhalation as you release.

And then bring your hands to prayer position with your thumbs on your sternum in the center of your chest.

And bow deeply in gratitude to life.

Bow deeply in gratitude for this now moment.

And bow deeply in gratitude for all those with whom we share this life.

And then as you open your eyes with your head still bowed.

I acknowledge that that place in me that says yes to life bows and honors that place in you that says yes to life.

Yes to living a life that matters.

And so it is.

Namaste.
