During this visualization meditation,
You will use your mind's eye to gain calm,
Peace,
And relief over feelings of extreme overwhelm.
Please do not listen to this guided meditation while driving or operating machinery.
And now it's time to leave your stress on a comforting getaway to a golden seaside.
Use this time to take three deep mindful breaths.
Inhale,
Taking in warm,
Comforting air down into your belly.
Exhale,
Letting cool,
Exhilarating air from your root.
Again,
Inhale warm,
Comforting air.
Exhale,
Cool,
Exhilarating air from your root.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Release.
Making yourself comfortable in a sitting position.
See yourself in your mind's eye sitting on a rhythmic shoreline.
Take in the sight of sunlight dancing on the incoming waves.
Exhale the scent of a fresh saltwater breeze.
Exhale the mind's chatter,
Feeling your shoulders drop into relaxation.
Feel your palms become heavy and sink into your lap.
Pause.
Allow yourself to settle in this blissful experience.
For a brief moment,
Allow yourself to notice the wispy cotton candy-like clouds softly traveling in the breeze.
Assign each cloud a stressor that is currently troubling you or taking you out of a state of peace.
Focusing on the sounds of the waves,
Release each stressor.
As the clouds overhead pass by in unison with the tide.
Now anchoring your breath with each crashing wave.
Visualize your palms resting up on your knees,
Open to the universe,
Catching the soft saltwater breeze.
Feel the energy radiating from your palms.
Notice how a tropical air dances in between each finger.
Moving further into a state of relaxation,
Close your palms slowly and tightly.
Envisioning the golden sands of the shore lying within your fists.
As with the clouds overhead,
See these sun-kissed grains as the stressors burdening your flow of being,
Burdening your life headspace and state of well-being.
Allow yourself to grip these golden sands tighter,
Feeling all of the tension build up within the center of your palms.
Exhale slowly and intentionally.
Now exhaling all of the tension,
Release.
Feel each grain of sand drained from your palms,
Landing gracefully on the earth as your grasp begins.
Feel the warm sand run through your fingertips and out of the nooks of your fingers,
Leaving your palms now peacefully laying on the pit of your lap.
Open and ready to receive extreme relief.
Feel all of the weight,
Stress and pressures of the world,
The weight of your thoughts and dilemmas.
Lift as you anchor further into relief,
Tuning in to the sounds of the shore's cadence and crashing waves.
Take this moment to savor the relief,
Stillness and the connection with the sense of weightlessness.
Inhale the sweetness of the calm.
Feel the need for control and resistance.
Repeat this simple movement two more times,
Beloved.
Exhale deeply,
Falling up your fists filled with the shore's silky sands.
Holding your breath,
Squeeze them as tightly as you can.
Now exhaling fully,
Opening your hands to let the tiny grains of sand dance their way back down to the earth.
Welcome the relief of any and all tension and stress melting away.
Pause.
Allow the sensation to fill and flow to the rest of your body.
One last time,
Beloved.
Inhale,
Feeling each grain of sand conform to the shape of your mighty fists.
Hold firm.
Notice how the sand shifts in the heart of your palm as your grasp strengthens.
And now exhale deeply,
Feeling all tensions subsiding,
Dissipating as the last few specks of sand slip through the corners of your fingers.
Sit with this overwhelming sense of peace,
Leaving your worries where they lie right on the glistening shore,
Knowing that you have the power to conquer them all,
To release them by using your mind's eye to put them into perspective.
Stay in this state of bliss for however long you need to,
Beloved.
When you're ready,
With three deep,
Grounding breaths,
Use the sounds around you to anchor you into the present moment.
Gently open your eyes to observe your natural surroundings.
Know that you can return to this meditation practice to relieve any stress whenever necessary,
Beloved.
You are and always will be worthy of peace.
You are and always will be capable of persevering.
