This is an amazing somatic practice to begin to cultivate a stronger sense of personal boundaries.

So standing up,

If you're able.

If not,

You can do this seated.

Just start to tap your head.

So it doesn't have to be hard,

But just tapping your head.

We're going to start tapping all the way from our head down to our toes.

You're just tapping and really feeling the edges of you,

Feeling the contours of your body.

If there's parts of your body that you don't feel comfortable tapping or touching,

You can just skip over them.

And as you do this,

I want you to say either out loud or in your mind,

This is my body.

This is my body.

These are my emotions.

These are my emotions.

What I feel is valid.

What I feel is valid.

This is my body.

This is my body.

These are my sensations.

These are my sensations.

This is my body.

This is my body.

Just keep tapping,

Finding your way all the way down towards your feet and your legs.

Once you get down to your feet,

Just pausing,

Then taking your hands back up to your head and just start to sweep your hands down over your body now.

So just sweeping from your head down to your chest,

Your shoulders down to your fingertips,

Your chest down to your pelvis,

Your shoulders down to your bum,

Just brushing down your legs,

Maybe still repeating,

This is my body.

These are my boundaries.

These are my emotions.

These are my sensations.

Getting all the way down to your feet,

Down to your toes,

And then just shaking your hands for a few moments,

Taking a deep breath in,

Deep breath out,

And just pause and notice how you feel.

And just know you can keep coming back to this practice at any time you feel you need to strengthen a little more through your own personal boundaries.
