Are you new to meditation and looking for a gentle introduction? Join me for a beginner-friendly breath meditation designed to help you relax and unwind. Get more familiar with your friend, the Breath. In this guided session, we'll get familiar with a short practice of breath meditation, a technique that has been used for centuries to cultivate inner peace and clarity of mind. No prior experience is necessary—all you need is a quiet space and a few minutes of your time. This simple act of getting attuned to your breath helps to quiet the chatter of the mind and promote a sense of calm and relaxation. Allow yourself to let go of any expectations or judgments, and simply be with your breath as it flows in and out. By the end of this session, you'll feel more grounded, centered, and at ease. Remember, the beauty of breath meditation lies in its simplicity—it's a practice that anyone can incorporate into their daily routine to promote overall well-being.

Hi there,

This is Rachel from Therapist Spills the Tea,

And thanks for joining me for a mindfulness moment.

This one is Your Friend,

The Breath.

I invite you to find yourself in a comfortable position,

Allowing yourself to relax into your seat or ground which supports your body,

Gently closing your eyes and getting into a rhythm with your breath.

For this mindfulness moment,

We will focus on our friend,

The breath,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Taking a few deep breaths here,

Knowing that your breath is always with you,

Is always your companion wherever you may be within the physical world,

Knowing that you are never alone,

You have your friend,

The breath,

Something you may always utilize.

Continuing with your inhale and exhale throughout this entire mindfulness moment,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Offering a moment of gratitude for your breath,

Your friend,

Your companion always,

Just inhaling and exhaling at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

Recognizing and incorporating into your awareness that your breath is a friend you can always call on,

A friend to help you regulate the body and your nervous system.

Your breath is always there,

Just breathing in and breathing out,

Taking a few more deep breaths and getting in tune with your friend,

Inhaling and exhaling,

I invite you to gently open your eyes and come back into the space around you,

And throughout the rest of your day,

Call on your friend,

Using your friend,

The breath,

When you may need.

Thanks for joining me and I'll see you next time.

Namaste.
