I've noticed lately how much of my life, I've been dedicating a great amount of effort to "being normal" to not being "crazy." Recently, I've found that when I really let go of that effort, an abundance of powerful moments and experiences have started arising, that I can't explain or understand. This has been an awesome process of learning to receive the benefits of things without having to understand what's happening. This meditation is about receiving the wisdom of our past through visualization

Welcome everyone.

It's our favorite time of the day.

It's meditation time.

I hope it's your favorite time of the day.

It's a good time of the day.

It's really just getting to hang out with yourself.

This beautiful solo quality time.

Let's start to settle into that space,

The self.

The components of the self,

Our body,

The place we live.

The mind.

A part of our self.

See if we can allow the mind to start to settle.

Maybe drop into the body.

And then this big self that encapsulates all of us.

There's a wonderful concept that I was introduced to the other day in this beautiful book.

Eastern body,

Western mind where he defines the soul as the individual expression of the spirit.

And spirit is the collective soul.

So it's like spirit is the pot of soup that all of us are part of.

And our soul is the bowl of soup that gets served.

It's like the individual expression.

The expression itself through you,

Through your body,

Your mind,

Your heart.

We can hold both at the same time.

Just because I'm in a bowl doesn't mean I'm not soup.

We're all soup.

We're audible at the same time.

Individual and everything.

Let's take a deep inhale together and we'll start to begin our practice.

Deep inhale.

And release.

One more filtering out everything we don't need for this experience.

Today we'll explore the concept of our past lives of other states of consciousness.

There's no need to try to do anything for this experience.

It's more of an allowing.

There's no need to question whatever experience comes is your truth.

You don't need to understand.

It doesn't have to be right or wrong.

I invite you to just witness whatever happens and if it's useful,

Then we'll use it.

So we roll the shoulders back,

Elongate the spine,

Strong spine.

And I want us to imagine the very base of our spine near our tailbone.

We had this life force energy almost like imagine like aloe vera.

Like this thick,

Warm,

Life filled liquid.

And as we inhale,

Each inhale brings all the way up the spine to the back of the neck,

Full of this life force of this aloe vera.

As we exhale,

We release.

We inhale this energy up the spine,

All the way up,

Filling the spine like a tube to the back of the neck.

And then we exhale any toxins,

Any frustration,

Any anger comes in.

Feeling direct life force energy filling up,

Feeling your essence as you fill your core of the spine all the way to the top of the head.

And we exhale,

Transforming,

Transmuting any energy.

And then we exhale from the base all the way to the ground.

Feeling the stability in the spine as we fill our core.

Taking a few more rounds at your own pace.

Feeling whatever you like to fill the spine,

Whatever resonates with you.

Representing the strong and firm grounding in who we are.

And our connection to the earth,

The sky above us as we become a pillar receiving from the heaven supported by the earth.

Feeling this strong channel between us,

This clear field of receiving and offering.

Feeling one more inhale and exhale wherever we are,

We fill the spine,

Slowly feeling this vital energy running up,

Up,

Up to the head.

And our final release.

Taking a moment to rest in this space,

Into this field of energy.

Noticing the spine.

Noticing a very subtle energy.

Like a tingling sensation moving through the body.

As we soften the mind,

Allow your consciousness,

Allow the mind to just be swept away into another landscape.

Another lifetime,

Whatever comes,

Comes.

Noticing this landscape wherever you are,

Whether it's a town or a city or a desert,

Whatever it is,

Whatever comes,

Just take a moment to rest there.

Like you just landed in another world.

And wherever you are,

Start to notice if there are other people around.

And if not,

Start to notice that other people start to join you,

That a little group of people start to appear.

A community or a city starts to build around you,

Or a town or a place of living.

And witness it rising.

You don't know what year it is or where you are.

You're just present with the surroundings.

And now your heart starts to tingle,

Your heart starts to magnetize.

And it pulls you forward as you start to walk.

And you're listening to the movements,

Maybe left or right,

As it pulls you forward and forward as you start to navigate this space.

And you see another person in a close distance,

And you're pulled toward them,

Toward them,

Toward them.

Maybe they're in a little home or a hut or sitting outside,

But you're pulled closer.

And closer.

And closer.

And as you arrive toward them,

You take a moment to close your eyes and sit with them.

You sit together,

Your hands start to connect with each other and you start to resonate and marinate in this deep soul bond.

The eyes are closed within the imagination and you feel the essence of this human being.

Perhaps it's a man or a woman or a child.

You start to feel beyond the body.

Like this essence is yours as well,

This soul from another life.

You feel their sorrows,

Their traumas.

Can you feel it?

Can you feel the shared pain that you both have?

We can ask the question to them without even needing an answer,

Just to feel.

What pain do you carry?

What may I release for you?

What do I carry for you?

Feel in your own body what changes.

And they let you know whatever pain you carry for them.

It's time to release.

Whatever trauma and sorrow you carry on my behalf.

You can let go of that now.

You notice as it seeps out of your body into the earth beneath you,

Into the core of the earth.

Your hands soften.

And their vibration rising,

Warming.

You can take a moment to open your eyes in your imagination and witness this human being that sits.

This you in another form.

Noticing their face,

Their bone structure,

Their hair.

What color is their skin?

You can ask the question to them,

What do I need to know?

What do I need to know?

Maybe a word or a phrase or a feeling or a color.

Simply allowing it to land and receiving.

We take a moment to connect with them.

We place our forehead on their forehead or give them a hug.

Letting each other know that everything will be okay.

This deep knowing,

This deep connection and deep wisdom.

This shared between.

We take our last moments in this shared space.

Feel that our own essence grow in the body.

We take a deep,

Deep inhale together with them.

Deep in.

We release the practice with a sigh.

The landscape,

The scenery,

The people start to vanish as if it were dust in the wind.

We gently arrive back into our own body for now.

Start to settle into that soul.

Into the essence that inhabits the body.

You can turn the volume up so that you can feel it strong or pulsing through the body.

Whatever came through today,

Even if it was nothing,

Even if it doesn't make sense.

Letting it settle and integrate into the body structure.

Knowing that the mind doesn't always need to know.

It's often enough to simply have the experience and receive it as it is.

The hands come to heart center in prayer mudra.

We take a gentle bow to this vast world that lies before us,

Behind us,

Below us,

Above us.

The world in which we live.

We take a moment of gratitude to our future and past selves,

Whether it's in this life or another.

Whether we believe in it or not.

Acknowledging the unknown.

Thank you for joining today.

Thank you for journeying.

You are the individual expression of the entire universe.

You are the pot of soup in a bowl.

You are unique.

You are love.

You are the enlightened in me,

That bowl of soup.

She's the pot of soup,

The enlightened in you.

Namaste.

What a beautiful way to start the new year. Thank you for this, Sam. It somehow made the connection for me that all pain is rooted in loss or fear of loss, and acknowledging and letting go is the most loving tool we can give ourselves. 🙏
