Welcome to a 10-minute mindfulness guided meditation.
This meditation I'm going to call Ocean Breeze.
Here in South Florida,
We are surrounded by ocean water and I decided to allow you to come join me on this journey to just relax.
Imagine yourself sitting in the sand or standing on the deck of the pier and just taking it all in.
As the waves flow,
Your breath,
You're flowing with your inhale and your exhale.
With each breath,
You're intentionally being mindful of where you are at this very moment.
And right now at this very moment,
I am taking you to a place of peace,
Serenity,
And tranquility for you to just relax and be at ease and calm as you listen to this meditation.
So let's begin.
Take this moment to just listen to the sounds of the waves for 30 seconds.
Close your eyes and just be still.
So now that I am back,
I want you to continue to just take deep breaths,
Inhale,
Exhale.
At this moment,
Do not allow your mind to wander off,
But just stay present by being present with your breath,
Each inhale,
Each exhale,
And be present with the sound of the ocean waves.
The ocean signifies so many beautiful wonders that we can do and explore and escape ourselves into.
The waves of the ocean can represent strength.
The waves of the ocean can represent flow and change.
The waves of the ocean can remind us to be still because it's nature and it's always showing up for us each and every day.
As we think about the water of the ocean,
How clear it is,
Let's think of clarity.
When we think of the sound of the ocean waves,
It's very calming and peaceful.
So think of calmness and peace into your life.
Take this moment to just escape.
Escape away from all the things that bring you pain or negativity,
Unwanted thoughts,
But let's stay in a place of blissfulness and peace and calm.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
As you start your week,
This will get you refreshed and renewed and ready for anything that comes your way during this week.
Be mindful of who you are and be mindful that at any moment,
You can take your power back just like the ocean waves.
You can flow.
You can change.
You can be vast and large and big,
Or you can even be small and minimalist,
But always remember to create a sacred space for your body temple to reside.
And as you think of the ocean waves,
What do you want to flow for you this week?
What energy do you want to see show up for you today and for the remaining of this work week?
Imagine yourself flowing like the ocean waves.
Take this moment now to inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Now join me in a really quick exercise,
And this is a balancing exercise for balancing your feminine and masculine energy,
Because oftentimes our feminine and masculine energy can be off balance,
Which we could be heavily working,
Or we can be lacking in love and caring and nurturing,
Which is the feminine energy.
The masculine energy is showing up for working,
For strategizing,
For building,
And just all these things that are related to willpower and actively showing up,
While the feminine energy is more of just relaxing and planning and nurturing and calming and balancing,
Just like the moon and then the sun.
So with this exercise,
We're going to first start off by covering our right nostril with our pointing finger with our right hand.
We're going to cover our right nostril as we breathe.
Inhale and exhale out of our left nostril.
Let's begin.
Breathe in to your left nostril and exhale out of your mouth,
And let's do this for three cycles.
Inhale through your left nostril.
Exhale through your mouth.
Inhale through your left nostril.
Exhale through your mouth.
One more time.
Inhale through your left nostril.
Exhale through your mouth.
Now we're going to switch hands,
And we're going to use our left hand,
And we're going to cover our left nostril with our pointing finger,
And we're going to breathe out of the right side of our nostril.
Inhale through your right nostril.
Exhale through your mouth.
Inhale through your right nostril.
Exhale through your mouth.
One last time.
Inhale through your right nostril.
Exhale through your mouth.
So we have the feminine energy,
And we have the masculine energy,
The moon and the sun.
If you practice this sometime throughout the week when you feel that you are unease or unbalanced throughout your week,
You can practice this.
It takes only five minutes or so.
As you relax and you just take the time and moment with your breath,
There's no rush,
And it will help you come back to a healthy balance.
It will shift your body naturally into a healthy balance.
As we close this meditation,
I just want to thank you for joining me today,
And I hope that with the sound of the healing waves,
You were able to just relax and free your mind.
