Namaste everyone.

My name is Neha and I am the host of the Find Your Shanti podcast.

Today I'm going to be guiding you through some mindful driving practices.

I want to invite you to ground into your body.

Take some deep belly breaths into the nose.

Exhale,

Sigh out the mouth.

Often when we are driving it's a great opportunity to connect with our surroundings and to connect with our bodies.

In this moment I'd like to invite you to continue grounding through the breath.

Taking deep breaths in and out.

Feeling the oxygen enter your body.

Feeling the oxygen release any tension on the exhales.

Continue to breathe in and out at your own pace.

I'd like to invite you to become aware of your body.

Become aware of how the gas pedal feels beneath your feet.

How the seat feels underneath you.

Supporting your back,

Your hips.

I'd like you to consider driving to be a mindful practice today.

Consider the opportunities to look around you and notice the beauty in the world.

I invite you to come back to your breath.

Take some deep breaths in and out.

Find one thing in your surroundings,

Whether it's in your car or outside,

To be grateful for in this moment.

Continue breathing in and out slowly at your own rhythm,

At your own pace.

Take this time to appreciate that you're able to drive,

That you're able to have a car that gets you from place to place,

That your hands are able to hold the steering wheel,

That your feet are able to press the pedal.

The time that we spend in transit from one place to another is sacred.

It's a time for transition,

For reflection,

For being grateful for our bodies,

Our surroundings,

For connecting with our bodies and our surroundings in the way that feels truest to our souls.

I hope this brief practice helps you to consider how you can drive more mindfully and use driving as a tool to enhance your life and the way you live with intention mindfully.

Thank you so much for sharing your time with me today.
