Day 8 of 14 - Exploring Emotions. As you go deeper into yourself, you will naturally come to realize that there is an aspect of your being that is always there and never changes. This is your sense of awareness, your consciousness it is this awareness that is aware of your thoughts and experience. This is the root of self. You are not your thoughts, you are aware of your thoughts. You are not your emotions, you feel your emotions.

Welcome to day eight.

You're such a powerful human being for taking that time out of your day every single time.

So get comfortable in your seat.

Rest your hands on your lap or your legs.

The head is upright.

We're closing down the eyes.

We begin by taking a few deeper breaths than normal.

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Gently seal your lips again.

Just feel how your body feels.

How those three deep breaths let you settle into yourself.

And then start to observe the natural in and out flow of air in through the nose and out through the nose.

Start to bring your awareness to the very top of your head.

Imagine a white light coming into the top of your head.

And a sensation of relaxation coming with that light.

Feel that light expand now over your entire face,

Your forehead,

Your eyes,

Your cheeks,

Your jaw,

Over the entire back of your head.

Down your neck and your throat.

Into your shoulders.

Feel those shoulders illuminating in a white light and gently traveling away from your ears.

Let them be as heavy as they are.

Move that light down your arms,

Your elbows,

Your forearms,

The top of your hands,

The palm of the hands,

All the way into the fingers.

Feel that light expand into the chest,

Into your upper back,

Your solar plexus and your middle back,

Your abdomen and your lower back.

Your hips,

Feel them become relaxed and illuminating in that white light.

Visualize that light traveling down your legs,

Your knees,

Your shins,

Your calves,

Your ankles,

The top of the feet,

The bottom of the feet.

Imagine that light traveling all the way down into your toes.

Your entire body is in that nice lucid relaxed state.

Today I want to explore with you how your body feels when you're experiencing certain emotions.

Visualize the emotions,

Embody the emotions.

Where do you feel them?

Our first emotion today is excitement.

Where do you feel excitement?

How does your stomach feel when you're excited?

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your legs,

Your forehead.

What situations occur in the past when you were excited?

Maybe the night before you went for holidays with your family or the night before your 15th birthday.

Imagine the feeling,

Imagine the sensation.

Let us move on to the second emotion.

Fear.

How do you feel fear?

How do you experience fear?

What is that feeling that you're having in your stomach?

When you're fearful or anxious?

How's the feeling in your chest?

How does your heart feel?

Your neck?

What about the area around your eyes?

Your jaw?

Your hands and fingers?

Your hips?

How do you experience fear?

Where do you experience fear?

Let's move on to the next emotion.

Gratitude.

How do you feel gratitude?

Gratitude for yourself.

Gratitude for exploring your own mind over the past 8 days for 10 minutes a day.

Gratitude for the things that you do in your daily life.

The coffee that you drink.

The walk that you take.

The friends that you meet.

How does gratitude feel in your heart?

In your shoulders?

In your head?

In your forehead?

Around your ears?

Down your neck?

What sensations are you feeling when you're grateful?

Do you have goosebumps going down your arms?

Down your neck?

Now that you can repeat this process with as many emotions as you want and for the last minute I want you to pick an emotion.

Maybe it's sadness.

Maybe it's hate.

Maybe it's a good emotion like happiness,

Satisfaction or love.

Play with the emotion and how it would feel in your body.

In what situations you might feel that emotion.

How does gratitude feel in your body?

In your head?

In your head?

In your head?

In your head?

Wherever you are,

Gently notice where your attention is and bring it back to the breathing.

Take three deeper than normal breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Let it all go.

All the emotions that you don't want.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and contemplate your experience.

Thank you so much for showing up for yourself today and I see you tomorrow.

Namaste.
