I invite you to take deep relaxing breaths as we explore relaxation by the ocean.
Take a minute to sit in a comfortable position or lay down in such a way that you are slightly reclined to stay awake during this meditation.
Take a few deep breaths and focus on the breath as it deepens all the way down to your belly and out through your nose.
Today's voyage will bring you to the ocean where the sun and wind are warm and pleasant.
Imagine arriving at the beach and the first few sensations are the smell of the salt sea and the soft warm sand pressing against your feet and in between your toes.
You hear the sound of the waves crashing onto shore.
It's loud yet relaxing as it follows its natural rhythm in and out,
In and out.
You just sit there listening.
As you start to walk over to a beautiful spot on the beach,
You pick an area that makes you happy.
Maybe it's by a palm tree,
Under a parasol,
Or in the open as you safely soak up the sun.
The warmth of the sun is caressing your skin and you can feel the warmth on your face,
Your neck,
Your arms,
Your body,
Your legs,
All the way down to your feet.
As you dig your toes into the sand,
You notice a few seashells,
Treasures of the sea,
Opalescent and turquoise,
Orange and fiery red,
Treasures of all shapes and sizes,
Glisten each ray of sun.
You can hear the sound of birds flying as you see them flying just above the water.
You also see a few strolling along the beach,
Regulars in these parts,
Confidently approaching you.
You watch simply as you observe their beauty.
As you sit there in the beauty of nature,
Practicing being the present moment,
You start to notice details that you hadn't noticed before.
You notice the colour of each lifeguard cabana,
Each one painted differently in these beautiful,
Vibrant colours.
You notice the flags sailing in the wind.
You start to notice people,
All kinds of different people of all ages,
Wearing different swimsuits,
Flowing shawls,
And some with big,
Rimmed hats.
You notice the details.
Notice that some people are listening to music.
Some are reading books.
You hear kids playing in the sand.
You even notice others taking a moment to be at their best for a selfie.
Out in the distance you see surfers and beautiful beach balls bouncing around.
As you notice all the action around you,
You still feel at peace and calm and happy.
You look out in the distance and you notice that the ocean water is a very dark blue,
Almost black.
And as you slowly look closer to the shore,
The blue turns into turquoise and it is crystal clear water.
You can see the bottom of the ocean and as you look down,
You notice the white sand,
The seashells,
Even gentle little fish swimming around.
As you observe all around you,
You feel this deep,
Intense sensation of gratitude.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath,
Breathing in the sweet smell of the salty ocean air.
And you repeat to yourself,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Life,
For offering me this moment by the ocean.
Now take a moment to observe as you listen carefully how you feel while sitting by the ocean.

To keep that wonderful sensation you experienced during this meditation.
And bring forth the practice of the present moment wherever you go.
