
Morning Body Scan With Affirmations
Relaxing yoga nidra practice with a body scan to center your awareness in the present moment and connect with your body with positive affirmations to set you up for an awesome day.
Transcript
Welcome to the guided body bliss relaxation.
This relaxation is designed to balance your body and mind and bring harmony and peace to your entire being.
Lay on your back,
Maybe place a pillow or cushion underneath your knees for support.
Men maybe cover yourself with a blanket to get really warm and comfy,
Ensuring you're not disturbed for the next 15 minutes or so.
And once you're really comfy with that body,
Allowing those eyes to close and allowing that body to settle.
Visualizing a snow globe that has just been shaken and then is still allowing all the sediments in the body and in the mind to settle down.
Feeling your whole body relaxing into the floor or bed.
It's almost a feeling like melting down into the warm embrace of Mother Earth.
Feeling safe and completely supported,
Allowing yourself to stop,
To just be.
For the time of this practice,
There is nowhere to go,
Nowhere to be.
So you can allow the outside world just to be as it is and focus on the here and now on your body and the present moment.
Relaxing the body.
Relaxing your body.
And as the physical body becomes more and more relaxed,
Your breath becomes more spacious,
Open and free.
Letting go and relaxing.
And in a moment,
We're going to take a journey of awareness through your body.
But before we do that,
I want you to cast the ears out to the sounds around you at the time of the day.
Listening to different sounds,
Not getting attached to any particular sound.
Allowing your awareness to wander from sound to sound.
And then bringing your awareness back to the body.
Maybe noticing sounds very close to your body.
Maybe the sound of your breath.
Maybe sounds of digestion.
Maybe the sound of your heartbeat.
Together we're going to take a journey of awareness through your body now.
And as we do that,
You will activate different parts of your brain to allow deeper relaxation and healing.
So I want you to bring your awareness to the right hand thumb now.
Noticing any sensations in that right hand thumb.
Maybe a tingling,
Maybe a pulsing.
And then allowing that awareness to wander to the right hand index finger,
The middle finger,
The ring finger and the little finger.
Palm of the right hand,
Back of the hand,
Right wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Upper arm and shoulder.
Right side of the chest,
Right side of the waist,
Right buttocks and hip.
Right thigh,
The knee,
The calf,
Sole of the right foot,
Top of the foot.
Right big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe and fifth toe.
Allow the whole right channel of your body to soften and relax.
And then bringing your awareness to the left channel of the body.
Noticing sensations in the left thumb.
Maybe again a tingling or a pulsing.
Maybe nothing at all.
And then letting your awareness journey to the left hand index finger,
The middle finger,
The ring finger and the little finger.
Palm of the left hand,
Back of the hand,
Left wrist and forearm,
Elbow and upper arm,
Left shoulder,
Left side of the chest,
The waist,
The hip,
Left thigh,
Knee,
Calf,
Ankle,
Sole of the left foot.
Top of the foot,
Left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe and fifth toe.
Allow the whole left side of the body to relax and soften.
And then bringing your awareness to the back of the body.
Noticing both heels,
The calves,
The back of the thighs,
The buttocks,
The lower back,
The middle back,
The upper back and shoulder area with the neck.
Allow the entire length of your spine to soften,
Relax,
Allowing tension to melt away.
Noticing the backs of the hands,
Forearms,
The upper arms,
The back of your head,
The crown of your head,
The forehead,
The right temple,
The left temple.
The right eyebrow,
The left eyebrow,
The right eye,
The left eye,
Your nose,
The teeth,
The gap in between the teeth,
The jaw,
Allowing that jaw to soften and relax.
Your throat,
The center of your chest,
Your abdomen with all those vital organs of digestion.
The bowl of the hip with all those organs of reproduction.
Pelvic floor,
Feeling into the whole of the right leg,
The whole of the left leg,
The whole of the right arm,
The whole of the left arm,
The whole of the torso and head.
And finally,
Feeling your whole body relaxing,
The whole body softening,
The whole body relaxing.
And in this state of complete relaxation,
I will say some affirmations and you can simply listen to them and allowing them to penetrate your entire being or you can silently repeat them to yourself in your mind.
Today will be an awesome day.
I will be present and make great choices in every moment.
I feel clear and connected and in my heart.
I will do the best I can and I will smile because I know that my best is always good enough.
I'm kind towards myself.
I love myself.
And this kindness and love radiates out to everyone I meet today.
I'm grateful for all the blessings in my life and through that I radiate abundance and attract more goodness into my life.
I am expanding in kindness,
Love and success and by doing that I liberate others to do the same.
All is well.
All is well.
Just resting here for a moment.
Feeling very peaceful and relaxed.
Knowing that through this practice you brought balance to the body and mind.
When you come out of this relaxation in a moment you'll feel energized,
Wide awake and very clear,
Happy and content.
Slowly getting ready to awaken again.
Taking some deeper breaths into the body.
Big inhales and big exhales.
Filling the whole lung with air.
And maybe start to wiggle those fingers and toes.
Awaken the body.
Maybe taking a big stretch with the arms overhead.
Stretching from the tips of the fingers to the tips of the toes.
And when you're ready,
Open the eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.
