Welcome to this meditation that will help you refocus,

Reprioritize,

And feel confident and clear to tackle the rest of the day.

Bursting to-do lists are so common nowadays.

We always have more to do than we can keep up with.

This is normal,

Unfortunately.

But let's find a way to feel more optimistic,

Clear,

And confident to navigate through the rest of the day effectively.

First,

Let's take a few seconds here to just acknowledge how you're feeling and what's coming up for you right now.

Perhaps you notice that you're experiencing some frustration,

A sense of overwhelm,

Maybe a sense of feeling helpless.

Do you notice it in your shoulders?

Are they tense?

Maybe in your jaw,

Your teeth are gritted together.

Maybe you feel it in the pit of your stomach,

That feeling of dread.

Whatever it is,

Just acknowledge it and know that it's valid.

Take a deep inhale here,

All the way in through your nose,

Right down to your belly,

And let it out through your mouth.

Let's do another one just for good measure,

Breathing all the way in through your nose,

Deep,

Deep into your belly,

And letting it out through your mouth.

And just return to the normal breath,

Allowing your awareness to rest here for a few moments.

And note that you probably have a lot of thoughts and feelings or sentiments coming up right now,

And that's okay.

No need to push it or pull it away or force it to be anything that it's not right now.

But just gently and kindly redirect your attention back to your breath when you do notice a thought or when you do feel an emotion come up and get carried away with it.

As soon as you notice it,

Just gently and kindly redirect it back to your breath,

Staying with the inhale and staying with the exhale.

An opportunity here for us to strengthen our mind and our brain muscle to stay concentrated and focused on just one thing that is our breath.

This may be easier said than done because we have so many things going on around us.

There's always things to do,

But just for a few moments here,

I invite you to drop it all to allow everything else around you to just fall away and really be here right now in this moment with me.

As I guide you through this short practice,

Know that it won't take too much of your time,

But that the time will be well spent to allow us to settle the mind and get clear on what we need to do next.

Sitting still with each inhale and exhale,

Noticing the rise and fall of the abdomen or maybe the chest,

Giving yourself permission to allow everything else to fall away.

Everything on your to-do list will still be there afterwards,

But we're just here right now in this moment.

There's nothing else that you need to turn your attention to in this exact moment,

But rather keeping the attention on the breath,

Allowing each exhale to sink us further into this moment,

Allowing the mind to settle,

The body to feel a little bit more relaxed and at ease.

I invite you to bring this question into your awareness.

What's important now?

Allow it to linger there for a few moments and see if anything comes up.

It's not about finding the right answer,

But just tuning in and listening for a wise response.

Usually when we allow our mind to settle for a little bit and get a little bit more clear,

We enable ourselves the opportunity to invite a question like this in and to hear a wise response or any response.

Sometimes we just need a bit of a sense of direction to know what to tackle first.

So again,

I invite you to consider the question,

What's important now?

Allowing this sense of focus on what's important right now to stay with you for the rest of your day as you navigate through with a bit more clarity,

Ease and confidence.

I wish you the best for the rest of your day.

Thank you.
