Call upon the energy of the flower, Bee Balm, to help activate the spirit of hope and compassion during times of anxiety or struggle. Gently guide yourself into deeper connection with your breath and body to anchor yourself in peace. Rachael-Grace would like to acknowledge lotuswei for sharing their knowledge of flowers with us so that we may share that knowledge with the world.

We're going to be working with the flower bee balm today.

Bee balm helps us to activate hope.

The message is to be still.

So as many of us are practicing social isolation right now this is a pretty ideal time to focus on the practice and benefits of slowing down and being still and getting ourselves grounded.

Have you recently had a traumatic experience or been confronted with a major change?

And I think we can all agree that everything happening right now would definitely be considered a major change in our day to day lives.

So bee balm helps us to adjust any kind of transition that may have disturbed the natural balance in our lives.

It inspires hope and allows us to be more lighthearted.

So bee balm will help to magnify soothing calm during times of transition,

Trauma or heartache.

One pointed focus lightheartedness,

Hope and compassion.

And then this flower will help us to dissolve distraction,

Tension,

Anguish,

Despair,

Sadness,

Trauma and post traumatic stress.

Seemed like the ideal flower to be focusing on today energetically.

So let's just take a moment together.

If you're seated somewhere comfortable,

That's ideal.

If you can get to a comfortable space,

Please do.

Some people like to remain seated,

Some people like to lie down.

Just make sure you feel supported in whatever position you decide to be in.

And then close your eyes and take a deep breath.

So as you inhale,

Just allow your chest and your belly to fill.

Hold your breath in for a moment.

And then exhale,

Feeling the breath gently release from your lungs,

Allowing your whole body to soften.

Again,

Take a nice deep cleansing breath in through your nose.

Hold it for a moment.

And then softly exhale all the way out.

Do one more round.

So as you're ready,

Take an inhale through your nose and then exhale completely.

You can keep your eyes closed,

Continuing to breathe in a way that feels natural.

And as you do this,

Begin to tune into your body to notice the physical sensations in your body.

So notice where there is stress,

Notice where there might be tension.

And also notice where you feel relaxed,

Where your body feels rested and at ease.

Something you might also like to do is maybe place one hand over your heart.

And you could add another hand over your lower belly.

Feel your heart beat.

Feel your body move with each breath.

Let's give ourselves permission to slow down.

This is a time where we're being asked to pause and rest and really take care of one another.

And I know that there is a lot of uncertainty floating through the kind of global energy right now.

So it's important that we take opportunities throughout our day to anchor ourselves back into our bodies,

To remind ourselves that we are healthy,

That we are safe.

And if we start to reflect on the energy of the bee balm flower,

We start to think about hope.

We start to think about what that hope looks like for you in your life right now.

How are you embodying that hope?

And we take a look at compassion.

What is compassion looking like for you in your life right now?

What are some ways you are expressing and embodying compassion for yourself,

For your family,

For your neighbors,

And your community overall?

Continue checking in.

Continue scanning your body.

Continue feeling into the rhythm of your breath,

Noticing whether it's able to stay at a soft,

Gentle pace.

Noticing whether the breath becomes agitated.

And then observing the thoughts that come and go.

It's really easy to carry a lot of thoughts that feel a little overwhelming,

Intense thoughts.

Perhaps you're feeling ridden with anxiety and stress.

So let's instead,

For now,

Focus on hope,

Focus on compassion,

Focus on dissolving the stress and the stressful tendencies we carry.

And think about one thing that you can offer yourself today.

Some way you can shine a light of hope in the midst of all of this chaos around us.

Or you could possibly be hope for someone else in need.

Continue to follow the breath in through the nose,

And out through the nose.

Let's continue to follow the breath in through the nose.

Let's continue to follow the breath in through the nose.

Continue breathing in.

Let's release with a deep exhale,

Letting all that tension in the body melt away.

And then take a moment to set an intention for the rest of your day.

Something that you are choosing to focus on.

Maybe you decide to step away from social media for the rest of the day.

Go out in your backyard and plant some spring flowers.

Maybe go for a walk.

Maybe enjoy a yoga practice at home.

Commit to practicing something today that helps to bring you joy,

Helps to instill a sense of hope.

And let's all make a commitment to continue looking out for each other.

To practice compassion,

To practice empathy.

And to keep remembering that we are in fact all in this together.

So from wherever you are right now,

Whether you're seated at your desk,

At your workplace,

Whether you're home,

Whether you're outdoors,

Let's place our palms together at our heart center.

Breathing in hope,

Breathing out compassion.

And being the light that the world needs right now.

You're welcome to bow your head towards your heart in gratitude.

May we all know love.

May we all know peace.

May we all know kindness.

And may these things always flow to and from us.

Namaste.
