This meditation will help you to create a little bit more energy for whatever you're planning ahead.
Because maybe you have lost your drive for a task at hand,
Or maybe you're feeling a little bit low in the afternoon of the day.
So let's begin and get into the flow.
Find an upright seat,
Pleasant and calm and relaxed.
You can close your eyes or keep a soft gaze in front of you,
Whatever is more comfortable to you.
And take yourself a moment and feel your body.
And if there is a place in your body where you feel some tension,
Or where you feel it's not very comfortable,
Send a little bit more relaxation there.
Or maybe shift your seat a little bit so that you're more comfortable.
Allow yourself to sit comfortably and give yourself all your attention.
And guide your attention to your breath.
Observe how your breath is going and become aware of it.
How it flows all by itself,
All naturally,
Without you needing to do anything.
Just naturally flowing,
Breathing in and breathing out.
And while you're observing your breath,
Do you notice those little pauses?
The pauses between the in-breath and the out-breath.
And see if you can pay attention to the different speeds of your breath,
How there is a slight variation in the speed of your breath,
In the rhythm.
How the out-breath always lands at this short pause and then continues flowing again.
Become aware of this very flow of your breath.
Connect to the rhythm.
You're alive and therefore you're breathing.
And there is an innate flow of energy in this that doesn't need any of your doing.
Become aware of this.
And while you're sitting here and observing your breath,
You will probably notice that there's thoughts coming up.
And if there is such a thought that comes up,
Just notice it and let it go.
Just like clouds in the sky,
The thoughts will come and go.
Observe this coming and going of your own thoughts.
Become aware of the very process of coming and going,
Of the rhythm of that.
Become aware of the flow of your thoughts.
You're alive and therefore you're having thoughts and they're coming and they're going.
They have their own rhythm and their own energy.
Connect to this energy,
To this very energy of your own thoughts.
And now I invite you to focus your attention on your body.
Place your awareness on the sensations in your body.
And see if you can feel any places in your body that feel particularly alive and energetic.
Or you feel a sense of being awake and pleasant energy.
Could be in your head,
Could be your arms.
Maybe in your torso.
Scan your legs.
Maybe your feet.
Or your hands.
Or someplace else.
Wherever you find it and however subtle it is,
Let your attention flow to this feeling of alive-awakeness.
And become aware of how this aliveness shows up in your body.
Might be a tingling,
Might be warmth,
Might be pulsating.
Maybe something completely different.
And maybe very subtle.
Doesn't matter,
Just focus your attention on this.
How it shows up in your body.
And allow this pleasant feeling of energy and aliveness to expand in your body.
Feel the rhythm of it itself.
Feel how it flows through you.
Give yourself some time to connect to it.
Feel the energy that is there in your body.
And enjoy the sensations that are flowing through you.
Awake.
Alive.
Nothing to do for you.
Just observe it and give it some room.
Your own aliveness,
Your own energy.
Now guide your attention on the feeling of trust.
Feeling of trust into this energy.
That this energy is there in you.
Because you are awake,
Because you are alive.
Give you the trust that this energy will carry you on today,
Wherever you want to go.
Now take one final deep breath.
Hold it for a moment.
And then breathe out and open up your eyes.
And let this energy inside of you carry you wherever you want to go today and whatever you want to do with it.
