So a lot of people ask me,

How can you be so mindful?

Or how can you be a mindfulness coach?

And let me tell you it's not easy.

Or maybe it is or who knows.

But sometimes I have my days.

Sometimes I feel like,

Wow,

How can I be mindful in this situation?

But let's face it.

Sometimes it's just basically living in the present moment without judgment.

So what does this mean?

I mean it's taking that walk in that park and looking at all those trees,

All those flowers that you'd usually just pass by.

But you don't really admire them.

You have forgotten how to live,

How to admire those little things in life.

I mean even when we're eating,

We forget to be mindful and our mind just starts thinking about a whole bunch of things.

And we forget to enjoy our food.

We even forget to enjoy brushing our teeth.

I mean how the toothbrush feels,

Or how you're touching it on your teeth or scrubbing it.

We have forgotten how to live,

How to enjoy the simple things in life.

We forgot how to be mindful.

And we have let our mind take control.

And our mind is not a negative thing,

It's not a bad thing.

It just wants to keep us safe.

And we've also given it so much control that we lost it.

So somebody came up to me,

One of my clients came up to me and they were like,

Hey,

I'm starting this new relationship.

But what if it doesn't work out?

Or what if I get hurt?

Or what if I'm wasting my time?

I mean that's your mind taking control,

Thinking of the future and forgetting that we're living in the present moment and that we need to enjoy those moments with that new person.

Not only a new person,

Maybe a new situation,

Even if it's a problem.

I mean there's a hidden blessing behind every problem.

But not only that,

I mean even when you start a new job,

I mean it's a new thing,

You can't start thinking,

Or what if I don't like it?

What if it's not for me?

No,

Enjoy it,

Enjoy what you're doing.

Live in the present without judgment.

Enjoy those simple things in life.

Just remember when you were a kid,

When you were a kid,

Your parents told you,

Hey,

That's a tree.

And now you look at a tree and I have no idea why you always think that every tree is the same.

And it's not like that,

Every tree is different.

Everything you see is different and we have forgotten how to live in that awe,

In that happiness.

Our happiness depends on another condition.

No,

That's not being mindful.

So today we're going to do a short guided meditation to just enjoy this moment,

Enjoy what you're living,

Just enjoy that you are breathing.

So sit in this comfortable position,

Close your eyes,

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Take another deep breath in and another deep breath out.

Breathe in happiness and breathe out happiness.

Breathe in peace and breathe out anything that takes away that peace.

Breathe in love and breathe out love.

Just enjoy this moment that you're alive,

That you're breathing.

No matter what you're going through,

There's always light at the end of the tunnel.

Be aware of what you're doing.

Don't let your mind take control.

Focus on yourself for a few moments,

A few seconds.

Focus on how your lungs expand while you're breathing in and how they feel when you breathe out.

Enjoy.

Enjoy this moment.

Listen to the music,

Say thank you to yourself.

Take a deep breath in and out and hug yourself.

Thank you so much for listening.

Awe, valerya, everything that you expressed in this meditation is what I have been practicing for the last 2 years and I didn't know how to articulate or express it but you did it so lovingly and gentle. I will definitely replay this one and share it with friends! I love your work so much. I'll look for you on YouTube!!
