Take this moment to find a space for yourself.
Make sure it's an environment you can be with yourself,
A place you can find ease in.
Begin to soften into your body,
Letting the warmth of your exhale fill your body up.
Notice your body,
The tension and the gripping of your muscles.
You are at ease.
Notice your breath,
The tranquility of your inhales and your exhales.
You are safe.
Notice your mind,
The thoughts that bounce from place to place.
You are here.
Allow yourself to fully let go of the clenching,
Grasping,
Holding of any attachments you may find yourself caught up in.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
So often we as humans cling to attachment,
Whether it's people,
Places,
Or things.
It's so normal.
We find comfort,
Ease,
Warmth,
And safety.
But little do we know,
Our attachments may not always serve us to the best.
Attaching ourselves to the wrong pursuits can possibly cause us more harm than good.
I invite you to think of a moment or situation where you may hold an attachment and notice if that attachment is serving you.
Simply just notice.
Bring awareness to it.
Who are you without that attachment?
Whether it's your phone,
Whether it's your partner,
Whether it's a friend,
A family member,
Are you attached?
And is it serving you to the best?
The process of letting go can be tough because emotions such as frustration or disappointment may come into play.
But when we let go of being attached to the things that don't serve us,
We don't lose everything.
We put things into perspective.
We gain our vitality and life back.
We gain our energy back.
We stop reaching for answers outside of ourselves and we truly tap inwards to find the answers that lie within us.
Allow your fingertips to unclench,
Your eyebrows to soften.
Allow the head to rest directly onto the spine loosely.
Allow the eyeballs to rest in the peripheries of the eye socket.
Allow yourself to say no,
To set strong boundaries to the things that don't serve you.
As we come to the end of our meditation,
Let your mantra today be to let go of all of the things that don't serve you so that you can step into a higher version of yourself.
Slowly move your fingertips and your toes,
Bringing awareness back into your breath,
Your attention back into the space.
Slowly,
At your own pace,
Begin to flicker the eyes open.
And I thank you for spending these five minutes with me today.
