Welcome to Wear It Soft.
Hi,
My name is Sienna.
I'm someone who has mostly softened again after going through two years of topical steroid withdrawal.
I'm here to help you feel seen,
Validated,
And less alone,
And to practice being softer with yourself while your skin does too.
During my TSW journey,
I found that nervous system regulation became one of the most supportive tools.
In this practice,
We'll use affirmations as gentle reminders,
Not things you need to believe,
But thoughts you can rest in.
When your nervous system feels overwhelmed,
Familiar and compassionate language can help your body remember that it's safe to settle,
Even for a short while.
With practice,
It will also get easier to call on these affirmations throughout your day,
Whenever you might need it.
If at any point something doesn't resonate,
You're allowed to let it pass.
This is a soft place.
Begin by finding a position that feels as comfortable as possible for your body right now.
You can be lying down,
Sitting,
Or gently reclined.
You don't need to be perfectly still.
If it feels supportive,
Place one hand on your chest or stomach.
We'll start with a slow breath together.
Inhale gently through the nose for a count of four,
Hold for two,
And exhale slowly through the mouth for six.
Again,
Inhale four,
Hold two,
Exhale for six.
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Allow your jaw to unclench.
There's nothing you need to fix in this moment.
I'll gently read these affirmations aloud.
You're welcome to repeat them silently,
Out loud,
Or simply let them wash over you.
I am allowed to rest inside this moment.
I am allowed to stop analyzing and simply be.
I don't need to compare my healing to anyone else's.
I deserve to be gentle with myself,
Especially now.
I can notice sensations without needing to react immediately.
I allow my breath to stabilize me.
I am safe in this moment.
I treat myself with kindness.
I give my body permission to regulate and return towards peace.
By responding calmly to my body's sensations,
I create more ease.
I let go of habits that are no longer helping me to be myself.
I let go of negative thoughts that are weighing me down.
Even when I can't see it,
I trust that healing is happening.
I am proud of myself for how far I've already come.
I notice even the smallest signs of progress.
I deserve to celebrate small wins.
I am allowed to be soft with myself today and every day.
I am still me,
Even while healing.
I am allowed to rest inside this moment.
I am allowed to stop analyzing and simply be.
I don't need to compare my healing to anyone else's.
I deserve to be gentle with myself,
Especially now.

As we come to the end of this practice,
Take a moment to notice how your body feels without needing to change anything.
You can return to this practice whenever you need a reminder that softness is allowed,
Even while healing,
Especially when healing.
Take what you need,
Leave the rest.
You're always welcome back here where it's soft.
