This meditation provides an experiential introduction to Awareness. Awareness is always here, whether relaxed or not. Awareness is awareness of thought and emotion, stillness, and peace. Even the most intense thoughts and emotions do not affect Awareness. This is important, fundamental, not to be overlooked. In this lies real freedom.

Okay all right yeah so if you can go ahead and close your eyes and just allowing your body to relax it's really letting go inside being really easy and first of all it's just what looking what is it that you notice what are you what is your attention aware of be a sense of relaxation be a physical tension or something physical could be a sense of stillness or thoughts really we're just being aware just just aware we're not there's nothing we're actually doing or need to do except for just to be aware automatically start to notice and it might be a sound or some sort of emotion or thought but it might just be a sense of peace or stillness so what's important to see is that this awareness is present whether there's thought it's aware of thought or emotion or if it's aware of a sense of stillness or peace it doesn't actually affect our this ability to be aware awareness is always here regardless of what it's predominantly aware of and this is really very important fundamental not something to just overlook because in our daily life if you know whether we're really there's a lot of emotions present or lots of thoughts and we're really not it's bit stressed awareness this awareness is still here we're aware of the stress aware of the thoughts and it's the same awareness that's aware of peace or relaxation so the outer or inner circumstances don't matter that they don't affect awareness and awareness is really what meditation is about just to relax it's become a realize awareness is here whether I'm relaxed or not it doesn't come and go this is the unity behind all experiences this is where real freedom lies simply aware it's how we're aware of our feelings physical aches and pains joy it's the one constant you might be aware of more relaxation now aware of a more some more sense of being settled and if there is still like there's a strong pull of your attention you know maybe there's some disturbance or lots of thought it's really pulling your attention or even physical discomfort then it's just being aware so not changing not trying to change any of that but just allow just allowing whatever is to be as it is whatever you're aware of just allow it to be as it is no fight and see if you can relax just being really okay with whatever you're aware of this is where we can really relax inside when there's no not creating a conflict or tension with what you're actually observing or aware of and if anything arises any other you become aware of something perhaps it wasn't obvious to start with and then just allow that just notice whatever is you notice is in this in this field of awareness it couldn't be unless there's awareness of it when you feel ready you can gently open your eyes but still really here's interstate that was here before you opened your eyes is still here so really take a moment with your eyes open to really just register that sense of presence the sense of being still here even with the eyes open
