Hi friend,

It's Katie.

Are you super stressed?

Anxious?

Freaking out?

First,

Know that it's normal.

It happens to all of us.

And our busy thinking mind doesn't help.

Jumping around from this to that.

Obsessing over something we can't change.

So here's the trick.

We've got to put our focus on something that's going on right now.

This very moment.

Just use our breath since we know it's always with us.

If you can close your eyes,

Please go ahead.

But if you can't,

For whatever reason,

That's okay too.

Now think back and remember a time when you did feel calm and relaxed.

Remember what being calm feels like.

Now for the next few minutes,

We're going to let the feeling of calmness ride the waves of our breath.

So start by breathing in the feeling of calmness,

Letting it fill you completely.

And breathe out the feeling of calmness,

Letting it surround you completely.

Let's do this together a few more times.

So breathe in calmness.

Breathe out calmness.

Breathe in calmness.

Breathe out calmness.

Breathe in calmness.

Breathe out calmness.

Breathe in calmness.

Breathe out calmness.

Breathe in calmness.

Breathe out calmness.

Now see if you can do this on your own a few times at your own pace.

Now take a moment to observe how you're feeling.

Remember,

The more often you can bring yourself to this calm moment of now,

The more you're interrupting the habitual negative thoughts.

Your mind can jump off that hamster wheel more and more and you can find more moments of true peace.

You can do this.

Until next time,

Namaste.

I liked this. I was remembering all the times I felt calmness: vacations , yoga sayvasanas, and power naps. I realized I had trapped energy that I could now utilize. Last part wasn't specifically in this meditation but it helped make me feel calm, creative. and a little energized.
