A thoughtful meditation for the beginning of Spring (or any new beginning) to connect with your body and discover where you're yearning to bloom. Feel free to listen on a walk around your neighborhood, as you make your bed and do some morning chores, or simply while sitting in stillness with yourself.

Happy Good Day.

I'm Breanne from Zenful Mindings and I want to thank you for joining me for this meditation to turn inward and honor or discover where you want to bloom.

I'm going to invite you to find a comfortable shape and position for your body laying down or sitting even standing up or if it's more comfortable for you to move or walk.

Honor where your body is at in this particular moment and if you'd like to find stillness you can get any wiggles out.

Maybe shake a little left to right or tense your fingers your toes your muscles throughout your body.

Take a big inhale tense tense tense or stretch stretch stretch and exhale let it go.

We'll do that two more times tense or wiggle find what your body needs and exhale let it go and one more time inhale whatever your body needs exhale let it drop as we punctuate landing into this moment together and if you're still you can soften your eyes or close them and if you're moving and you can do so safely just give your attention visually just to what you need to to safely maneuver and we'll start to notice our wonderful feet and how they feel within within our toes within our soles within our heels the very roots of our body when we're standing up usually in contact with the earth as we are sitting in some form or another constantly grounding and dispersing energy and we'll bring our awareness up through our legs our stems our knees where we can bend and sway with the earth with the wind we grow tall we grow short and we'll bring our awareness up through our hips and our bellies and torsos all the way up through heart center where we unfurl from our center of being our essence our breath our emotions are all housed here and bringing our awareness out to our arms through our shoulders our elbows our wrists through our palms and fingers intertwining with life and environments around us where we hug and we hold on to things and where we let go and where we gesture big or hold ourselves in and bringing our awareness back up through our neck our head all the way to the top of our bodies our crowning glory where our vision our expression of speech all come together in sound waves and thought waves our eyes to see how we can orient to the world and now bringing your awareness to the skin of your body the thin yet tough membrane that separates you from all that there is that allows you to feel the most tender of touches of the wind the sun another human's touch or the way a pet or loved one curls up beside you and with your own breath noticing where in your body feels maybe a little tightly wound or maybe tendrils of creativity of potential that want to climb out into the world into the sunlight to be seen and experience the wind maybe notice if there is any area of your body that feels stagnant or like it's blocking an unfurling of your leaves and puddles and let's acknowledge those spaces with compassion and with a gentle awareness and if you can acceptance just seeing what they are as they are feeling what they are in your body we'll consciously move our breath or imagine it moving from the crown of our head as we inhale all the way down to our roots at our toe tips and exhale back up through the crown of our head breathing down through your body and allowing your breath to flow up out of your body sipping your breath down and allowing your exhalation to feel as though you are blooming outward softening a bit with each exhalation maybe letting a little bit of light into the core of who you are and letting yourself be seen in the sunlight we'll take one more breath from the crown of our head to the tips of our toes back out through the crown of our head and start to bring our awareness back to maybe the temperature of air touching our skin or feeling our breath as it exits and enters our body if you're able to lay your fingers on the ground or on a supportive portion of your body just let some tactile sensation enter your awareness to bring you back to the present moment start to notice any sounds that might be in your area or vicinity and take a breath in and out just a regular breath and if you'd like to keep your eyes closed or soft and stay here for as long as you like you are welcome to for you'd like to slowly blink your eyes open or wiggle your fingers and toes or just find a sense of stillness if you've been moving about I invite you just to reorient back to your space in a way that is slow and gentle and thank you for joining me today for this meditation may you bloom where it feels most bright
