Connecting to breath, noticing the breath... as we exhale we let go of the old and create space for new... as we inhale we receive love. Often we are hard on ourselves, our body's and mind become hard and rigid. Being conscious about your exhale to let go to create space and invite the love in to allow our body's and mind to become softer.

Connecting to breath,

Creating space for self-love.

Finding a comfortable seated position with your legs crossed on the floor on a yoga mat or cushion.

Or if you feel more comfortable on a couch or a chair,

Do so placing your feet flat on the ground.

If you feel like you need to just be in bed or sitting on your bed with your back upright,

Do so with your legs out in front of you.

Wherever this space is,

It needs to be comfortable for you,

Keeping your back up straight to invite focus and awareness into your body while meditating.

Placing your hands on your lap with your palms facing up to connect to the beautiful universe or facing down to ground to the radiant earth energy.

I invite you to close your eyes gently and slowly and start to come to the focusing and awareness of your breath.

Breathing in and out through your nostrils or if you feel more comfortable breathing in through your nostrils and out through your mouth.

Do whatever you feel is best for you,

What's comfortable for you to breathe.

It's really feeling into your breath,

Connecting to your breath.

Notice how the air moves in through your nostrils and out through your nostrils or out through your mouth.

How does it feel as it enters and exits your body?

Noticing your breath moving into your chest and lungs.

Notice how your belly rises and falls on every inhale and exhale.

Notice how your chest rises and falls on every inhale and exhale.

Continuing to just connect to your breath,

Feeling into the natural rhythm of your breath.

Feeling into the space that your breath is creating for you inside of you.

Checking in with how your physical body feels now.

Are there any physical sensations popping up within any body parts?

Just noticing and witnessing them,

These physical sensations without any judgment,

Just becoming aware of them.

Not placing any meaning or holding on to them or starting a narrative with them,

Just noticing and observing them.

And how are you feeling emotionally?

What emotions may be in your body right now,

Right here?

Just checking in with yourself emotionally,

Noticing and witnessing,

Observing without any judgment,

Placing no meaning onto that emotion or emotions.

Just allowing the energy and motion to flow and move through you,

Using your breath to shift any discomforts.

And checking in with your mind,

Where is your mind at?

Noticing,

Witnessing,

Observing without any judgment,

Where your mind is at.

Being curious of what is visiting you today,

Becoming aware of the energy and motion,

Being mindful of what you don't need to be holding on to.

These physical sensations,

These emotions,

These thought processes are not who you are,

They're just part of being human.

Allowing them to just flow through you,

Using your breath to shift any discomfort,

Surrendering,

Anything that does not serve you.

Just allowing these sensations,

Emotions,

Thought processes to visit,

Allow them to be and float by.

And remembering to just come back to your breath,

If there's any discomfort that you may be feeling on any level.

Coming back to focusing on your breath.

Breathing in and out,

Inhaling and exhaling.

And notice how your breath allows you to create more space,

For you to feel a love for yourself,

For you to invite more love into your life.

Feeling into your breath now and exploring how your breath can create the space for the new,

For this love.

And on every exhale,

Sinking deeper,

Letting go of any tensions or anxieties,

Or anything that you feel no longer serves you,

That you don't need to hold on to anymore.

And on every inhale,

Inviting the space into yourself for the new,

Inviting that love for yourself through your inhale.

Really focusing on how much space you can create for yourself on that inhale,

And on that exhale,

Letting go.

Letting go of anything that no longer serves you.

Coming back to the natural rhythm of your breath,

Noticing it,

Becoming aware of it.

Just checking in with yourself again,

Is there any difference from when you started to now?

And starting to bring movement into your body,

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Maybe you'd like to stretch up to the sky,

To the ceiling,

With your arms.

And when you're ready,

And only when you're ready,

Opening your eyes slowly and gently.
