This 18 minute guided meditation helps you connect with your inner child, the younger version of you who may still be carrying pain, fear, or unmet needs. I guide you through a gentle visualization where you meet yourself as a child, offer the love and safety you needed then, and begin the process of reparenting yourself from within. This is deep, tender work. We move slowly and compassionately, acknowledging what your younger self experienced and offering what they deserved but may not have received. Unconditional love, safety, and acceptance. This meditation can bring up emotions. Tears are welcome here. Healing isn't always comfortable, but it's always worth it. Perfect for those in therapy, anyone doing shadow work, or people ready to heal their relationship with themselves at the deepest level. Find a private, safe space. Bring tissues. Be gentle with yourself afterward.

Welcome.

Today we're going to meet a very important person.

Someone that you may have forgotten about.

Someone who's been waiting for you.

We are going to meet your inner child.

So before we get started,

I'd like you to find a comfortable position.

Whether that's sitting up or laying down.

Just wherever you feel most comfortable.

Because comfort is key in making sure that we deeply connect with ourselves.

When you're ready,

I want you to gently let your eyes flutter closed and take three deep breaths with me.

We're going to be taking these breaths in the count of four,

Four,

Six.

So let's begin.

Breathe in.

And hold.

And release.

Again,

Breathe in.

And hold.

And release.

One more time.

Take a deep breath in.

Hold with me here.

And release.

I want you to imagine you're standing on a path.

It's a beautiful day.

The sun is warm,

Kissing your skin.

There's a gentle breeze in the air.

The temperature is just perfect for you.

And you're taking in everything around you.

Whether you're in the forest,

Going up a mountain,

Maybe you're on a beach.

You're walking down this path.

And with each step,

You're moving backwards through time.

Backwards through the years.

Back through your twenties.

Back through your teenage years.

All the way back to your childhood.

And as you're walking down this path,

You're not afraid.

You're just walking.

Going back to find that special someone.

Going back to connect with yourself.

And as you're walking down this beautiful path,

Up ahead,

You start to see a small figure.

As you get closer,

You realize this figure,

It's you.

A younger version of you.

And maybe they're five years old.

Maybe they're seven years old.

Maybe they're ten.

Whatever age appears,

That is the right age.

And as you look down at this child,

This child looks back up at you.

And in their eyes,

You can see everything that they've been carrying.

You can see the hurts that they didn't understand.

The words that cut at them deep.

And all the times that they felt alone.

You see everything in their eyes that they may not have been able to comprehend.

But you,

As an adult,

Know exactly the way that they felt.

You walk closer to them.

You kneel down so you're eye to eye with this younger,

Sweet version of yourself.

And you speak to them.

You let them know,

I came back for you.

And I'm here now.

Take a moment.

Let them know that you're here for them.

And watch their face.

Watch their expressions.

Do they believe you?

Or are they cautious?

Maybe unsure of what you're telling them?

Just observe.

Continue to be present there for them.

Now,

I want you to ask them,

What do you need me to know right now?

And I want you to really listen.

Give them space to express themselves.

They might tell you about the day that they had at school.

They may tell you things that their parents may have said to them.

They may tell you the moment that they decided they weren't enough.

Don't rush this conversation.

Just actively listen and let them speak.

Now,

I want you to tell them the truths that they needed to hear back then.

I want you to say out loud,

And repeat after me,

These words.

You are not too much.

You are not too little.

You are exactly right.

What happened wasn't your fault.

You deserved better.

I'm sorry that you had to go through this alone.

But I am here now.

And I will never leave you again.

Now,

Watch their shoulders relax.

Watch as the weight starts to lift off of them.

Now,

Hold out your hand and ask them,

Will you come with me?

Give them time to hear all the things that you just told them.

Give them time to trust you in this moment.

And when they're ready,

They will take your hand.

Now,

When they take your hand,

You both start to walk down that path together.

You start to walk back through the years.

But this time,

Neither one of you are alone.

This time,

You're walking with them.

You're supporting them.

And you're making sure that they are protected.

And as you walk,

They start to transform.

They get a little brighter.

They get a little happier.

They start to smile and become the child that they were before the ways of the world really got to them.

You've given them the space to be who they truly are.

And by the time you reach the present moment,

That child has merged with your heart.

No longer are they separated from you.

No longer are they alone.

They're home.

They're safe.

And they're with you.

Now,

I'd like for you to place your hands over your heart.

I want you to imagine that child in your heart.

I want you to really feel them there.

Feel that inner child that's inside of you.

I want you to feel them being healed,

Held,

And at home.

And from now on,

When life gets hard,

You can always return to this place.

You can check in with that younger child version of yourself.

You always can ask them,

What do you need right now?

What do you feel right now?

And now,

Not only can you hear them and understand them,

You can give them what they need.

You can give them the protection that they never had.

The love that they always deserved.

And the voice that says,

No matter what,

I love you.

And no matter what,

I'm here for you.

Now,

Take a deep breath and really feel that integration between you and your inner child.

I want you to take a moment and really feel the healing.

Really feel anything that comes up and don't judge it or push it away.

Let it come.

Acknowledge it and let it heal.

And whenever you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

Knowing that you're leaving this session and you are whole.

You always were.

And now,

You are home.
