Welcome to day six of the seven day challenge to reclaim your balance.

Today we'll be focusing on getting out in nature.

So let's begin by getting comfortable whether that's lying down or seated in a chair or on the floor.

Just allow yourself to get really comfortable and take a moment just to settle into the stillness of this very moment and bring your attention to your breath.

And when you brought your attention to your breath just allow yourself to inhale in through your nose and exhale slowly either through your nose or your mouth.

Whatever feels good to you and just feel your body begin to relax just releasing any tension any tightness.

As you breathe in again allow yourself to feel really present here in this moment.

Feel the weight of your body being supported by the surface beneath you and notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest,

Your belly.

Send that oxygen down deep into your lungs expanding the belly breathing into the sides of your ribs and back.

Let each breath just anchor you into this moment.

You may find it really nice just to place one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly through this practice.

Whatever feels good for you just let it happen.

Today we're going to explore the idea of reconnecting with nature something very close to my heart.

Reconnecting with nature creates balance within ourselves and in a world that seems to move so fast nature has a lovely way of reminding us to slow down to return to a more grounded peaceful state of being.

And by stepping outside by going for those lovely walks or runs or whatever you like to do you also step inward creating harmony between ourselves and the world around us.

So if you could I'd like you to imagine yourself in some natural setting perhaps it's a place that you know perhaps it's a place that you're creating for yourself right now.

It might be a forest or a park or a meadow or even by the seaside.

Just picture yourself standing there surrounded by soothing sights and sounds of nature and feel the ground beneath you just sturdy and reliable real holding you steady.

Notice how the air feels on your skin maybe it's cool or cold or fresh or alive and inhale deeply letting that clean air just fill your lungs.

And as you exhale just release lingering tension any tightness any uncomfortable feelings just let them go.

And as you stand in this place of natural beauty just take a moment to acknowledge how small you are in the vastness of this natural world and yet how connected you are to it.

Nature has always been there patiently waiting for you to return and to find that balance.

So let's explore the elements around you starting with the earth beneath your feet feel its solidness or softness feel its grounding energy feel that natural pull.

Like the earth we too can feel strong we can feel grounded we can allow ourselves to reconnect with the earth beneath our feet and with each breath that we take I want you to imagine drawing that energy up from the earth steadying yourself feeling more centered more grounded feel that wonderful buzz or that pulse coming from the earth the earth energy mother earth some people call it.

And next imagine yourself with that lovely gentle breeze that moves all around you it touches your face touches your skin that air reminds us that we're part of something larger that every breath we take is part of that endless cycle of life.

It's as though this air cleanses your mind cleanses your mind of worries or distractions and you breathe in clarity and you breathe out any stress or worries.

And now take a moment to feel the warmth of the Sun on your skin or perhaps the gentle light filtering the trees.

The Sun or even gentle light nurtures revitalizes all living things.

Think of how plants need sunlight to grow.

Like this light you too have the ability to nourish yourself and grow in more ways than one.

And now imagine hearing sounds of water whether that be from rain or waves crashing in on a beach or perhaps a gentle stream somewhere.

Water flows so effortlessly along.

It reminds us of the importance of letting go of flowing of moving of moving with the rhythms of life instead of resisting them.

And with every element of nature we find a reflection of balance within ourselves.

Like the earth we can be grounded.

Like the air we can let go.

And like the Sun we can nurture.

And like the water we can allow ourselves to flow.

And now with every exhale I invite you to let go of any tension or tightness that you've been holding on to.

Imagine the earth beneath your feet now absorbing that tension.

Like roots pulling away anything that no longer serves you.

And with each breath out feel yourself growing lighter more balanced.

Picture yourself walking through this beautiful place you're in.

And as you walk notice how your mind starts to quieten.

Notice how your body begins to align with the natural rhythms of the world that you're in.

The more you walk the more you let go of distractions.

Let go of worries.

Let go of self-doubt.

You are reconnecting to something greater.

To something ancient.

To something wise.

Something peaceful that exists of course both outside and within you.

You are part of everything and everything a part of you.

And just like nature you don't need to rush anymore.

Everything will always get done.

And so now you create that balance within yourself.

Taking note of nature around you.

And so now slowly when you're ready you can bring yourself back to full wakefulness.

Becoming aware of your body lying down or seated.

And slowly in your own time opening your eyes.

Have a great day.
