To your courageous body,

I am with you.

I support you.

I will practice patience and compassion with you as we carry on this journey together.

I invite you to close your eyes or simply lower your gaze if you prefer.

Becoming aware of the position your body is taking,

How your feet hit the ground,

The shape of your spine,

The position your hands are in.

Adjusting your body to rest in a position that feels comfortable for you.

Honoring what you need right now.

Allowing yourself to fully experience what it is like to be in your body in this moment.

Is there pain?

Aches?

Unease?

Can you hold space for these experiences?

Becoming aware of the emotions that arise with the discomfort.

Fear?

Anger?

Defeat?

Resentment?

And when the emotion arises,

Can you gently return back to the sensation of being in and releasing it?

Coming back to your body.

Getting curious.

Loosening the grip of shame,

Disappointment,

Frustration that might arise with discomfort.

Connecting with the magic of your body right now.

My body is whole.

My body deserves kindness.

There is nothing I need to change right now.

Using the awareness of your body to enter this very moment.

Focusing the details of your body that often go unnoticed.

Taking a moment to simply breathe and be.

Allowing the emotions to come and go without gripping to the story of your discomfort.
