Welcome,
Radiant Soul,
I'm Nola Bloom,
And this meditation is a gentle space to return to safety within your body.
You may be arriving here because your mind feels busy,
Your body feels tense,
Or your system feels unable to fully settle.
Sometimes the day continues moving inside of us even after everything around us has become quiet.
The breath stays shallow,
The shoulders remain lifted,
And deep rest feels completely out of reach.
In this practice,
There's nothing to fix and know where you need to be.
We begin exactly where you are.
This meditation is an invitation to slow down gradually,
Allowing the body to remember its natural rhythm of ease.
As the body softens,
The breath deepens on its own,
And the nervous system begins to recognize that this moment is safe to soften.
Now take a moment to get yourself comfortable.
Allow your body to be supported,
Either lying down or seated in a way that feels effortless.
When you're ready,
Gently close down the eyes,
And begin to notice the breath just as it is.
The inhale arriving on its own,
The exhale gently leaving the body.
There's no need to change anything.
Simply notice the rhythm already moving through you.
Bring awareness to the places where your body meets the surface beneath you.
Feel the weight of your body being received as though the earth itself is holding you.
With each exhale,
Allow yourself to settle a little more,
Muscles softening,
The body growing heavier,
Warmer,
And more at ease.
For this moment,
Nothing is required of you.
Bring awareness down to your feet.
Sense the soles of the feet resting,
The toes soft and relaxed.
Imagine any excess tension draining downward,
Like sand slowly settling to the bottom of still water.
Let this feeling move up the legs,
The calves softening,
The knees releasing,
The thighs heavy and supported.
Your body remembers how to rest.
Bring awareness to the belly.
Allow the abdomen to soften completely,
The breath moving like a gentle tide,
Rising and falling,
Effortless and continuous.
As the belly softens,
The nervous system begins to recognize that this moment is safe to settle.
Feel the back of the body widening across the lower ribs and spine,
Each breath creating space from within.
Now imagine a quiet warmth here,
Spreading slowly with each exhale.
The shoulders drop,
The arms grow heavy,
The hands rest without effort.
Bring awareness to the throat,
The jaw,
The muscles of the face.
Let the tongue rest softly,
The space behind the eyes becoming spacious and calm.
Thoughts may continue to move through the mind,
Like clouds drifting across an open sky.
There is no need to follow them.
Simply let them pass while you remain resting here.
Now sense your whole body together.
Breathing,
Supported,
Held in,
Stoneless.
Imagine that every exhale the body releases what it no longer needs to carry.
The effort of the day dissolves.
The nervous system begins to settle into its own natural rhythm,
Like water becoming still after movement.
Rest here for a few more moments.
As you continue breathing,
Imagine a gentle feeling of safety spreading from the center of the body outward,
Through the chest,
The belly,
The arms,
And the legs,
All the way to the edges of your skin.
A quiet message moving through the body,
You are allowed to rest here.
The breath becomes slower,
The body softer,
The awareness steady and calm.
Remain here for a few more breaths,
Allowing the sense of ease to deepen.
When you are ready,
Begin to notice the space around you,
The sounds in the room,
The air brushing against your skin.
Gently invite movement back into the fingers and toes.
Gently opening the eyes.
Carrying this sense of steadiness with you into the rest of your day.
You can return to this practice whenever you need to reconnect with calm,
Grounding and support.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
Namaste
