Begin your morning with gentle guidance from Caroline, accompanied by the natural song of morning birds. In this guided meditation, you are invited to slowly meet your day, attuning to your own rhythm and setting a pace that feels nourishing. Your nervous system is supported as you move at your wise, natural pace. This is your “permission slip” to arrive fully into the day. Through breath, subtle movement, and mindful awareness, you’ll cultivate clarity, sovereignty, and a deep sense of remembrance before stepping into the world.

A warm welcome from the birdies,

As we gently and slowly,

Softly,

Begin our day.

Taking a moment to find a comfortable seat,

Perhaps even lying on the earth,

And if seated nice and tall through the spine,

Perhaps back supported,

And if it feels comfortable to do so,

Allowing your eyelids to gently meet,

Or you're welcome to find a gentle downwards gaze.

And here we have absolute permission to take our time,

For often our system knows what it is to rush,

To move quickly,

And here can we really slow everything down,

As if you are meeting the morning moment by moment,

Supported by the tune,

The frequency of the birdsong,

Whether you're lying,

You're seated,

Beginning to notice those points that create that sense of contact,

Meeting with the earth,

As if you're creating these roots down into the soil,

And at the same time,

Witnessing,

Just noticing,

The natural rhythm,

The ebb and the flow of your breath.

Right here in this moment,

We're not looking to change,

Resolve,

Alter anything,

And instead a warm morning greeting,

How am I this morning,

As we begin to witness our very own inner tapestry,

Not so worried about what the mind has to say in relation to how we are,

But how does the body,

How does from shoulders down,

Communicates,

And as we begin to scan,

From tips of toes to crown of heads,

From crown of heads to tips of toes,

Noticing what's alive this morning,

What is here as beautiful tokens,

Messages,

But just as we listen to the birdsong,

Are we able to listen to ourselves,

Letting yourself know,

I'm here,

I'm listening,

And this morning we're taking it slow,

Moving at your own pace,

And a continual reminder to yourself,

I am here,

I am listening.

More often than not,

What's needed is this unconditional,

Complete,

Compassionate presence.

Noticing what happens as you're met with that complete,

Unconditional,

Compassionate presence.

And if at any moment a part of you desires a touch,

A holding,

You may even like to place a hand there,

Meeting our day with ourselves,

Trusting that we may not get it right all the time,

But we'll do our best to hold ourselves throughout the day,

To come back to that compassionate presence of witnessing and listening.

For you're not something to be fixed,

Instead nurtured,

Held,

Loved.

You may like to remain in stillness and the quietude for as long as you need.

Perhaps arising only in your own time,

Maybe you transition into movement,

One that feels fluid,

Moving towards yourself,

With yourself,

Meeting any charge,

Any stickiness,

Any holding from our night's sleep.

Finding your unique way to transition into the next chapter,

Pocket of your day,

And doing so gently with the pace in which we've begun.

Because all in all,

You set the pace,

You set the rhythm.

Perhaps it's in slowing down your walk,

Mindfully preparing your meal,

Taking a few full breaths before receiving the nourishment of your meal.

And even taking a moment to breathe into your belly,

Whether you're in the car,

Even on the toilet.

You set the rhythm,

You set the pace.

Wishing you a beautiful good morning from the birdies and I.
